maxine eMy rental was clean and drove well. The problems were that it did not have a lock on the driver's side, and the passenger side door didn't quite close all the way, barely enough to be secured. The entire lock tumbler on the outside driver's door was missing and they just covered it with a sticker, which is not secure. Also it was a major inconvenience because every time I had to enter, I had to climb through the passenger side and then slide over. I requested a new vehicle but they were unable to accommodate since mine was "the only one-way vehicle available that day", despite the lot being full of other vehicles. I'm shocked that they found the condition of this vehicle good enough to rent out, and the only remedy they offered was a vague "I can try to find you a truck at a different location". I'm shocked these problems weren't a big enough deal for them to fix before renting the vehicle out. My review would be more positive if they communicated the problems earlier (as soon as they were discovered since I understand the vehicles turn around quickly) so I could change plans if necessary, instead of discovering it myself as I was going through final checks. Or if they offered to discount the price to offset the inconvenience and safety issues.

JOHN RTiny, but mighty is how I would describe this location. I have many options close to me to rent from U-Haul, but this is the only one I use. I will change my equipment (even if it means I am going bigger/more expensive) just to be able to use this location because the staff is ALWAYS fast and friendly.

Veronica CEmployees were very reluctant to help us throughout entire truck pickup, even though we were polite and respectful (as former retail workers ourselves) The utility dolly we had reserved with the truck (over a week in advance) was not available, we had to take and were charged full price for a furniture dolly, which was terrible for moving boxes. The pickup process for getting the truck was horrendous, we had set aside 15 minutes and it took a half hour to complete, during which at one point the app forced us to call a 3rd party to verify one of our driver's license, and it had to be an unrelated 3rd party so we had to bother someone (who they never called) Employee was quite rude when politely asked if they would be the third party. This whole process would have taken a third of the time if I hadn't chosen the app pickup thinking it would be faster. The truck was inaccessible, parked beside a post that would damage the rearview mirror when backed out, we had to ask two employees and the second got it out for us. Again, we were careful to be polite, there were no other customers but us, and both employees weren't hiding that they were reluctant to help us. I don't know what we did if anything other than being exasperated with the awful app process.
jonathan DReturned the vehicle and while I was there waiting for my ride they started the checkin process. She never said anything about the gas not being where it was one I picked up the vehicle. Later I was charged $17 for gas. I questioned this and asked that it be removed. They would not remove the charge. I had to ask several times for a response via email. The truck was returned with the same amount of fuel, 3/4-1/2 as at time of pickup. If U-Haul wants the vehicle returned with the exact same amount of fuel, then I suggest you send the vehicle out with a full tank and request they be returned full. This will eliminate slight differences in fuel between pickup and drop-off.
MICHAEL W9-ft Cargo van was newer and had lots of helpful features, like a backup camera. Staff was very helpful and renting was simple and efficient. Will rent again!
DAVID BI am very disappointed not only in the reservation system but also with the staff at the location, who didn’t alert me to the issue with my reservation when I came to pick up the truck. They made me go through self pickup procedures while standing there at the counter. What?? But the biggest problem was that the reservation system allowed me to flag my reservation as “in town” while at the same time allowing me to pick up at one location and drop off at another (in the same area). But the reality is when I went to drop off the truck at the second location I had chosen, they said “no ma’am, you can’t do that because your reservation was “in town”, so you have to return the truck to the original location you rented from. What???? Not only is that NOT what I intended with my reservation but nobody at the original location cared to point that out to me before I even left with the truck. Bad bad bad customer service AND confusing registration system.

Rassoul TI got my lesson learnt very well. The cargo van vas not clean , it was with mud and leaves at the cargo area. When I returned I’ve been charged cleaning fee for $20. After I objected , I’ve been refunded. I’ll take pictures of the rentals from now on. The staff should’ve known that

Michael RFirst off the app should be optional, I asked to pick up my rental with an agent. I had to figure out this app and take pictures myself as if I worked there it was much more time consuming and frustrating when there are plenty of people that work there that could easily do this. We also had a scare where the truck did not want to start and this was after we loaded it up full of items. It did not feel reliable and it was scary. Specially the fact that it’s so cold out and we were on a strict time line. The prices were fair but I am now not sure if it’s worth the risk after this experience.

Artidoro AIt's unfortunate I had the experience I did - there was so much potential at this location to be an excellent experience. They have newer equipment (especial the small vans) and moving supplies on site. But they push to have everything "self serve", which ruined the experience, especially when you have at least 3 employees walking around available. It was incredibly frustrating. I asked for an in person pickup. But my reservation was changed, without me agreeing, to a self serve pickup using your phone. It would be different if the process was intuitive and easy - but it wasn't. Maybe it was better on the app. But I don't want to download another app for something I do so infrequently. Using a browser on your phone required you to make setting changes I had in place on my phone when using browsers. And even then it wasn't working. I asked nearby employees who seemed available to help and got a frustrated huff and eye rolls that they had to help me get the rental. I've never experienced anything like this at any other u-haul location. People have always gone out of their way to be helpful. And I'm not new to rentals, nor u-haul. When I did get my rental, it wasn't one of the nice new vans that were all overt he lot, it was the old, abused models. The first van I was given smelled so bad from stale cigarette smoke - it was unbearable. So I kindly asked the same employee if I could have one of the newer vans since I would be driving about 100 miles in it. He rolled his eyes, grunted at me and from somewhere I didn't even see, on the relatively small lot, found yet another old, abused rental and said "the keys are in it". What a horrible experience. It would've taken no effort on his part to just be a little nicer and provide the equipment I had reserved and kindly asked for. The drop off was no better. Same guy saw me trying to follow their instructions for returning it and, again, walked right by me. He made me ask him again if he could help. He grabbed the keys and didn't even say anything. Just a poor experience all around. There are several other locations nearby to rent u-haul vans, but I specifically chose this location thinking I would get better service because it also included a u-haul store. I was wrong and will not be returning. I'll gladly drive out of my way to avoid them.

The front desk person had already reviewed my additional dolly and furniture pads before my arrival and loaded them in the trailer. Upon return the entire transaction was done on the employees business iphone and emailed the reciept before I left the lot. Excellent customer service!
