Its been a while since I've rented a truck and I would say I was slightly frustrated and annoyed by my experience. First and foremost, it took me 30 minutes to get checked in because the agent was busy dealing with other customers (which is annoying because I rented the truck on a Saturday morning and they only had 1 staff member working during the busiest day of the week). Then, I was having issues checking out because these businesses dont feel like dealing with their customers so now they make everyone do the whole check out process on their app. I think there should be a way for the agent to complete checkout on their end if the customer is having issues with the check out process online.
Jeffrey FThe day I went in to pick up was great (both gentlemen working) Saturday (end of month/labor day) on the return the young man was working by himself. He was absolutely slammed w ppl in a line out the door and he managed it like a champ and even kept a smile and a great attitude. Outstanding customer service. I'm js sorry I didn't get his name bc he was so busy. Monday I'm gonna call his manager to let him know.

TADESSE TThe reservation was set to be at the counter but we got an email stating it was changed to the u-haul app, which i was disappointed. But after arriving at the location for pick up, it was a mad house. The counter had about 10 people waiting to be served. So me and wifey went into the app and set up our pick up which toke about 5 minutes once we got the approval! The app allowed us to pick up our vehicle with no need for a customer service rep and take care of our business for today! The no parking for customers is crazy I didnt even realize that until we returned the vehicle and noticed it on the app somewhere. The vehicle was dings and dents everywhere. The oil change notification kept coming on! I have mixed emotions about this location for future rentals!

I am a retired Service Manager from Enterprise Rent A Car. I would review him with a exceeds requirement review.( highest review possible ) I will look first at this location for my rental needs. john OThe truck that I was originally assigned was parked behind two other trucks and didn’t have much gas. The attendant could not find the keys to move the two trucks so he assigned me a new truck. The new truck had a roach in the back and the driver seat was super hard to adjust.
YOLANDA JThe best part of this experience was dropping it off… When picking it up you had some less than helpful people who had you download the app and do all check in yourself before even entertaining the idea of helping you. The 2nd guy who helped us I felt bad for because he basically was working by himself. I would never recommend this location to anyone.

STACY RThe sole employee was incredibly slammed with numerous people, all of whom seemed to think they should be the ONLY customer he took care of, and IMMEDIATELY. He refused to become stressed, and even handled an irate fella (who showed up almost an hour late to his appointment) with professionalism and respect, while reminding him that not only was he quite late, there were several people ahead of him. I was duly impressed with his demeanor and ability to quickly get people on their way with minimal delays.

James LThis is less about the location, but more about the forced online pickup experience. It was bad. I don't know why I had the option at reservation to select online pickup OR pickup at the counter if there was NO ACTUAL OPTION TO USE THE COUNTER. It took me over 30 minutes to check in since the agent kept disapproving my photo. Overall, bad experience with the online portion. It is also unclear to me why a photo is needed if you have a photo of my license. Horrible. Stupid. Waste of time. Nearly missed my pickup window for the item that I needed to use the van to get.

verndene pFirst, the single employee was overworked and it took 45 minutes to get a truck. It's not the employee's fault as he did everything he could to help, but the cards were stacked against him for the amount of customers he had to deal with. Second, UHaul relies on a mobile app that did not function well. Third, I was subsequently charged for missing furniture pads that were never used. Lastly, the side view mirrors on the truck would vibrate out of place during driving making it impossible to use the mirror.

Marianne GJeremy did a fantastic job, he helped me out with the entire process. Even when I messed up on picking up the wrong size truck, I came back and he was very helpful with correcting my mistake and got me the necessary help to get a brand new truck. Very very helpful.

JUAN RIn the process of checking out I was asked if I wanted about a half dozen other things including boxes, moving equipment, packs of furtinure pads, etc. I declined. Upon receiving the truck there was a dolly and reusable furtinure pads. Apparently these are like a minibar at a hotel because using a dolly costs money. That’s just bait and is a crappy business model. More problematic is the hidden $25 O3 cleaning fee that’s conveniently tacked on after returning the vehicle, not up front. The vehicle was clean upon return and absolutely does not require more than a broom at most, and certainly not ozone cleaning. This type of sneaky way to add on charges is a really poor business model and honestly I’m not sure I’ll use uhaul again if this is how customers are treated.

Brian RThe person/man who worked in the morning was very nice, helpful and professional! I appreciated his customer service. However, the person who worked in the evening, Antoine P was absolutely horrible!!! He told me to put away the blankets and the furniture by the” flower pot in n the back by the dumpster” instead of doing it for me. I did what he told me to do, and when I can back to the truck, he was no where to be found. I found that he left the truck door open and left the truck engine running. He was gone for a good 20 minutes. I don't know where he went because he did not say anything. I went inside the store to look for him and he was no where to be found. Since the truck was still running and the driver’s side of the door was open, I turned off the truck, closed the door, held on the keys and waited for him to come back. When he came back, I noticed he had food with him, which I assumed he went and bought. When I asked I why he left and did not say anything and left the truck door open and engine running and failed to let me know that I was free to go, he got a bad attitude, and said I was checked out, was terribly rude, failed to give me a receipt. I went back in the store to get my receipt and he was still very rude. He would up giving me someone else’s receipt by the name of Jemarna Sirleaf, contract# 73563752, with his personal information on it. There is more that I could say, but I think this summary captures what a terrible customer service experience I had!!! I would absolutely NEVER rent from this particular store again as long as I know that Antoine P works there, and I would not recommend anyone to rent form that store as long as Antoine P works there!!! Antoine P needs to be pout on some type of CORRECTIVE ACTION or COACHING PLAN or nhe needs to find another job. He clearly does not care about his job or U-Haul’s valued customers. He just cost you a customer in me who has rented from you multiple times in the past. He has also cost you valuable referrals that I would have made to friends and family.

Patricia PThe staff helping the customers were really good and seem to be able to move between the various issues of the customers with ease. II have lived in the area for over 20 years and I have seen this location grow. The people working there have changed, and from my last visit improved. The improvements appear to be with the systems and network infrastructure used by the staff. Things moved slowly while waiting for pages to load and the inability for customers to perform functions on the App that could free the limited staff. This was my first time using the U-Haul app. The integration seems to be good but it can improve for the rental of trailers. The attendants were quick and understood the issue .

Barbara BI run a small business after working with u-haul for more than 10 years, I was told by the agent today at 21228 Baltimore national pike that if I don't download the app I can't get a truck!!! I did bcs I didn't have a choice at that moment , but I strongly think you guys can't give that kind of one way rules to your customers.

LATOSHA RWhy are there no parking spaces for customers? That makes zero sense also I had to bring my trailer back for the guy working to fix one of the chains. Overall the guy that was working is excellent a his job and deserves a raise demonstrated pronominal communication and hard work answered all questions and was a great help 10/10 on the employee.
