Fantastic experience, had to change my reservation, no problem. Pick up and drop off were easy, people were friendly and helpful, truck was great and the price they quoted is what they charged. No surprises other than how easy and efficient it was compared to past truck rental experiences. Will definitely go back. Thanks Westview U-Haul team!

Top notch service.

cabin smelled like smoke covered up with some spray. You really need to make it clear that people can not smoke. To pushy with the up sales.

I reserved a utility trailer for pickup at 8:00. I arrived at 8:40 and was told the trailer was not available and had been given to another customer because I was over 15 minutes late. The only thing available now was a motorcycle trailer. I checked in to pick up the trailer the night before to ensure it would be ready for me the next morning. I saw nothing on any of the website that said I only had 15 minutes to pick up the trailer before it would be given away. The person I spoke to was unapologetic about the issue. I will not be using this dealer or Uhaul again. I will drive miles out of my way to use another trailer rental company. This treatment is totally unacceptable. If the 15 minute pickup window is a company policy, it needs to be in bold type at the top of the website. With traffic and other considerations, 15 minutes is too tight a widow for pickup. I have rented trailers from your company a few times recently, and it only takes one bad experience to lose a customer. Your franchise owner has given me that bad experience. Respectfully, Paul Ford

My biggest problem with the pickup of my rental I don't think had to do with the location at all. I had setup my pickup through the website and it had implied I could/should choose from among 5 or so locations and I had chosen the one on Falls road, and my email confirmation sent me that address. And a mysterious note about someone calling me to confirm the location which did not happen. But when I got to the Falls road location the van was not there because (a) it was never going to be at Falls road it was at this Catonsville location, and (b) it wasn't at Catonsville either because there was only like 1 one-way van in the area (?!) and it hadn't been returned. So we had to be upgraded to a 10 foot truck which is ok, but then we had to go to this other location. So, in short, everyone at both locations was really professional, given that this happened. But also the email aimed me at the wrong location which I did not enjoy. So maybe your online system or overall logistics needs some work. I would consider this a headquarters problem, not a location problem. If you've got a small number of one-way resources, maybe don't offer a large set of choices for pickup locations? maybe make it clear that the actual location can't be scheduled until N days before pickup? maybe send a confirmation email the day before with the actual location?

Thanks to Pamela ....she was great!

Service here was helpful but very slow. My gripe - fuel was marked at 1/4 tank, but the truck told me "25 miles to E", so basically empty. The dropoff location charged $54 for leaving the truck with 1/8 tank which is more than it had. They really owe ME money for adding fuel. Pretty sleazy. If the tank is empty mark it empty.

The staff was very easy to work with. Flexible

No problems at all.

This location should offer some sort of customer parking, but I understand they lack space with that many trucks available. Perhaps they should "lease" some spots across the street. On-line check in really was helpful in avoiding "the wait for my turn" and seemed to free up staff from behind the counter; all 4 staff members asked at some point if "Everything is OK, do you need help?" while I was outside during my 15 minute mobile check in - the one staff member brought my key to me in the lot before I was finished validating. They were very busy with lots of trucks going out at 9AM on Saturday. Truck return was full of returned trucks, so I returned it to the back lot out of the way.

done a key drop

All employees are the best in the state. No other uhaul in maryland compares to the quality, expertise, and friendliness of the staff at west view.

The location had plenty of staff members, but only the manager seemed to know what she was doing. She was constantly having to assist the other employees with their duties as well. This location would benefit greatly from some employee training.

I rented a pickup on 8/12 with damage on the tailgate...which I missed when picking up the truck. When I pulled down the gate at home I noticed the gashed dent at the top. This damage was not new (like it happened during the last rental). No one walked around the truck with me when I picked it up. When I returned the truck and was invoiced there was no mention of loss or damage that was not already there and I was not charged for any such damage. Over a week later 8|21 I get another invoice for the same contract where they are now trying to charge me 150 dollars for damage to the tail gate! I needed to return this truck on the afternoon of 12th because it had been reserved for someone else. I was not contacted that day regarding the damage nor was I contacted at all during the next several days...just the invoice that came by e-mail. I will now go into arbitration to try to get my money back. I don't mind paying for something I did but this damage had already been sustained before I rented the truck. Apparently they do not keep a close enough eye on their vehicles to notice when damage occurs. Lesson learned. Go over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb and insist that someone from uhaul walk around the vehicle with you. I now move to arbitration to try to get the money credited. Please be careful or you may end up in the same spot.
