I booked a reservation 4 days ago at a Point Loma location which was 2 miles from my house. When I arrived I was told the pick up location was moved to a new location so I was forced to pick up the U-Haul 20 minutes away after I Ubered to the original location. After arriving at the new location I picked up the U-Haul which was a hassle because all the systems were slow. When I attempted to take pictures of the U-Haul for the check in the app crashed. I get in the U-Haul and turn it on and the gas tank is nearly on empty. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a truck rental company.

Washing the outside of the transportation Equipment would be good.

Went to second location and told they only had a truck, and I would need to go to a 3rd location for trailer, then told me no it would have to be both truck and trailer at 3rd location. As I Uber there, I complained and after many minutes I was told by "peanut" he could let me get a truck, but he seemed very upset and bothered to help me. Eventually got the truck, then to the 3rd location for trailer. All in all I ended up late to deliver the motorcycle to my client, making my buisness look bad, because your buisness could not efficiently coordinate a simple request or follow up as it should. Very disappointed all around.
JOSHUA HWhen I returned the truck, I had a particularly unpleasant experience with one of your employees. He was exceedingly rude throughout our interaction, which left me quite taken aback. At one point, he nearly ran me over with the van while I was standing there—if I hadn’t been paying close attention, I could have been seriously injured. His demeanor was not just unprofessional; it was shocking. He actually had the audacity to tell me to "get it together," which was completely uncalled for. While I don’t know his name, I can describe him; he has a brown complexion and appeared to be in his mid-twenties. The way he conducted himself suggested an upbringing lacking basic manners and respect for others, which is quite alarming for someone in customer service. I strongly believe that a manager needs to have a serious conversation with this individual. If this behavior continues unchecked, it could lead to grave consequences, both for your business and for him. I feel compelled to return and confront him directly to ensure he understands the gravity of his actions. I hope to see some changes made to prevent this kind of incident from happening again.
MUSA MI would have preferred to been help by the customer rep then to be sent to a the UHAUL app to create and retrieve my reservation, what a nightmare it was. This is definitely something that benefits the UHAUL bean counters but certainly not the customers.

Azucena MI've used Uhaul for years, but Your Uhaul APP is very UN-friendly. Uploading pictures of my license, and the entire truck and getting a code to receive the key, pictures of the gas gauge and mileage was not efficient.. The two workers had to help me manage the app which took about 15 minutes. I know you are probably thinking the app would help save time but it actually added time and stress to my overall experience and to your workers who have to help the customers manage the APP
Janice EI made reservation haul online and when I asked for a dolly as well the online rep told me that there are two kinds of dolly at location that I can rent. At location they did not have it and all rented out and total waste of time as I had call for friend help and drag him 30 miles to hp me out on weekend Saturday. I asked the location that the online rep confirmed the availability of two types of dollies at your location, he replied that online rep work from home and have no idea of what we have or not!!!!. Absolute waste of my money and time.

ERICA RRented a trailer. Was asked how long I needed it and estimated a time I would get back. Returned later and was charged 2 days. When I rented the trailer I told the person at the counter that I picked that location since they were open late. Why wasn’t I told that I should put the estimated return time at closing to avoid any additional charges?

Tracie MI was very impressed with the customer service at pickup and the size of the lot makes after hours drop-off very easy. The security cameras and lights after hours also give me more peace of mind late at night.
Jessica OAs an active duty family new to the area, Jose B. provided us with great care and support in the drop off of our rental. He explained to us proper drop off procedures and was thorough in going over our paperwork with us to make sure everything was done properly. He was kind and very quick to help and assisted us in getting on the road in a timely manner. Thank you Jose and the other gentlemen that helped us out at U-Haul for the assistance! I would highly recommend this location for a smooth and efficient rental experience.
MATTHEW BI informed staff that the gas tank was empty when I received the U-Haul and I filled it up. I asked about the possibility of being reimbursed, as I used less than 1/4 of the tank, I was given a very confusing response. The drop off location was also changed and I was not notified of the change. The whole process was confusing.

Dung BThe equipment was fine. It's obviously been used, but that is not the issue. Almost every time I've rented with U-Haul, the windshields are a dirty. I would like at least a cursory cleaning of the inside of the windshield. The cabs are generally clean.

VINCENT QFuel gauge malfunction on rental causing me overfill beyond requires by close to a quarter tanj. Fuel at $4.50/gallon was expense that was not needed. Very disappointed

CHRISTOPHER TInstead of getting a portion of my deposit back after I paid much more than the online quoted price, and filling up the gas to it's previous fill mark. They tried to charge my card for more money and now they're adding late fees. When I turned in the U-Haul the man asked if I replaced the gas and I said yes and asked if I'd be getting my refund he said yes. He did not inspect the vehicle with me present. However he did try to charge my card for more money the next day. This is incredibly shady. Needless to say every few days they try and charge my card again with increasing late fees that I do not owe. Extra shady make sure if you use these ppl every you can approve or deny the charges to your card or lock your card. Very shady business.

EUGENE KSystem was down. Staff was unknowledgeable about customers using app when in that situation. Staff should know how to navigate the app. Customer service was not its priority, it felt more like a social hour after we were waiting for over an hour.

I came to this location about 3 weeks ago, the service was great the guys were so helpful and professional, so I did not hesitate when I needed to rent again. This time I had new people, I had to switch vans 3 times, the first time they put me in a van that reeked of cigarettes, I couldn’t even breathe, I get out spend about 12 mins looking for an employee. Afterwards they gave me keys to another van (each time they just hand me the key to a van without an inspection) I get in the van and it was soo musty but I didn’t want to speak up again, so I drive off and decided I’ll just go disinfect it it when I get home ( I literally was driving with my head out the window because of the smell). I Turn the corner and I noticed the passenger side mirror was flapping with the wind! I head back to the station and let them know. Once again they hand me keys to another van, luckily it was decent if I didn’t really need the van I would have just asked for my money back, but I don’t think I’ll be returning back.

VIRGINIA Mmake sure the order is complete. Mind you i should have checked when I was there but I added a dolly. I trusted the staff when they said order was all set I had to add extra miles to go back to get the dolly. The truck had a couple lights on and took at least 10 minutes to find someone to let them know and check it. all for them so say you are good... don't worry about it. I would strongly suggest to not go to this location.

LAUREN GThis location to return the truck was imposed by the Uhaul service that contacted me. Little or no empathy, since they sent me to this location that was farther away and not to any of the other two closest locations. Which made me very uncomfortable. On the way back I encountered a lot of traffic due to a small fire and could not get there in time. They did charge me extra, for the day and so on. I am not happy with this technicality and I did call to let them know. They should be more empathetic. And then why does the self-return exist? If they tell us we can't use it (customer service). A big inconvenience I had no problem at this location returning the truck.
GUADALUPE Ball customer service was exceptional from the phone contact to the in person store contact. Thank you for training them. Well I haven't had good customer service like this and a very, very long time.
GIANINA WI was charged for damage to the truck I rented which I did not do. Called customer service, they got in contact with the store, and they said the damage charge was a mistake because the person who charged me is a new employee and I would be refunded. I've yet to be refunded and got charged an additional $280+ dollars which is still pending. I've been helped by three customer service reps and Maria helped me file a dispute with U-Haul and filed a dispute with my bank. I'm still awaiting to be contacted by the manager to clear this issue up. The man who helped me check the truck out was great and the customer service representatives have been great, however I've been incorrectly charged $600+ just to move a couch and bed frame up the highway. I'm currently awaiting an investigation to be refunded.

MIRIAM TCan corporate please address the issue where on line people can claim trucks reserved by people waiting in line. The on line system let 2 people take my truck before I could get processed. One did not even have a reservation. The other person was behind me in line and claimed my truck while I was at the desk. The truck was checked in for me and then immediately claimed by a woman "skipping the line." It was confusing to the desk person because he could not find my truck in the system and then he realized what had happened and she walked up and got the keys and I had to wait for a 3rd truck to be prepared for me. It was stressful and took a long time. Really slowed the line down for everyone waiting. Perhaps have the on site staff approve the on line rentals? It is creating a 2 tier system - those waiting in line and those skipping the line by checking in on line. In practice, taking rentals from under the nose of a person who waiting 30 minutes in line and is sitting at the desk being checked in. Please come up with a better system! When I saw how long the line was I thought I had heard there was an on line check in but I didn't know how to do it. So I waited in line. And was punished for it and stressed out. I was worried there would not be a truck for me! All of my experience with staff on phone and on the site was very good. Good employees.
