Horrible employees Returned the van with fuel topped up to the level and they still put 4 gallons of fuel to my tap …!!!! I only drove 17 miles , i still fueled 2 gallons to make sure i bring it to the level amd they still added 4 gallons of fuel to my invoice!!!! The van was dirty outside , rear view camera was dirty and I couldn’t see anything backing up … i am contacting corporate first thing Monday

There is a lingering smell of marijuana every time I am there. For that reason I am unlikely to rent there again. Shame because otherwise the customer service is excellent.

I felt the staff were disrespectful to customers with an attitude. There was a lack of professionalism and enthusiasm amongst each employee. The employee made me go all the way back to the van just to grab a piece of paper I left behind while he could’ve told me not to worry about that small piece of paper and take care of it during cleaning process. The other employee had an attitude with another person on the phone.

When I got there I was given a milage and a tank filled level Upon entering the vehicle I realized that the milage was wrong but I didn't check the fuel gauge The attendant adjusted the milage to reflect what was non the dashboard When I got back to the vehicle I realized the gas was between 1/4 and 1/2, it was noted as well over 1/2 full I didn't have the time to go back for a second adjustment so I figured I fix that when I got back Still I put the gas ton reflect what was reported and not what was in actuality When I got back was 7:00 pm. The door was locked but there were 3 people who I tried to get the attention of. They dismissed me and pointed to the afterhour drop box

The drop off of the container in my house in Illinois was great. A week later they came and picked it up. I had a really expensive ebike ($5,000) on board, so I put an air tracker chip inside its frame so I could know- in case my container got robbed. They initially quoted me 11 days but it got to the North Las Vegas location in 5 days! bravo bravo bravo on the service. job well done. I got there on the agreed day of delivery to my new home in Las Vegas, and when the North Las Vegas U-haul team began handling the container, that's when it all went tiits up and sideways. The driver called me about 30 min before arrival and said she could not enter my street because of a Convention. Ok, but my street is a 4 lane 2-way street. Also, she told me she was not going to make the turn into my lot, which was silly because she did not even try. Since, I had the air tracker inside the Ubox, I was able to see exactly where she stopped. And she stopped in front of the Leasing office on Paradise Rd and Sierra Vista Drive. Had she pulled into my street (Sierra Vista) she would have seen how wide the entrance to my complex was. So they took the container back to their Depot in North Las Vegas, made my 69 years old dad drive up there and they put it on a rental flat bad truck- so my dad had to drive back the container, unload it within 24 hours and return it back the next morning. Oh well, at least they waved the truck rental fee.

Answer the phone, I was put on hold and after 15 min gave up. Was able to download app and reserve a trailer in that time. Arriving at the facility they were not busy but just sitting around and chatting. Put someone else on hold while I was there and never picked it back up in the time it took for them to take care of me.

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever experienced no body should be treated like this unfortunately I can’t give zero starts I would definitely like my bill to redacted or be covered due to the poor service I specifically told them I was going to a whole different county and they made me bring the truck all the way back costing me more money I will never use this service again

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely the best U-Haul ever! I’ve rented from other locations around town, but this one has the best customer service and the trucks are always clean and well maintained. The staff is professional, friendly, and efficient. Highly recommend this location for any moving or storage needs!

U-Haul was extremely easy to work with! Customer service was amazing!! U-Haul Kept in contact with me the whole time my U-Box was in transit from Illinois to Florida which was very comforting knowing my things were in good hands! I would recommend them highly! I was not charged for any gas. The gauge started and ended as full, but I went 25. miles so I expect to be charged for 2-3 gallons of gas. Please have my invoice charged for the gas.

I made the mistake of believing that they hooked the trailer up properly, but it was not tightened on the ball. It is only through pure luck that it did't come loose while I was driving, but as soon as I climbed into the trailer carrying something it lifted completely clear of my hitch.

Things were very busy so there was some stuff left in the van on the floor, nothing serious. Van was clean and brand new so no issues with the operation of the van. The woman running the shift was very knowledgeable and trying to train a new person as well as take care of the propane tanks. She did an excellent job and knew her job inside and out.

The cargo van was clean and did its job well. Only concern i experienced was when i dropped off the cargo van, there was no one available to check me out, until someone came out after i knocked on their door simply just said to leave the keys on the table and said im all good to go without checking me out properly, which then they decided to check everything out 45 mins after i left making my van rental supposedly just for the day and brought back with only 23 miles using it, became a 2 day rental because they took their time checking me out exceeding my rental contact.

I was charged twice. There were two reservations made somehow and despite repeated attempts to correct that, I kept getting duplicate calls. I was assured multiple times that I wouldn't be charged twice, only to be told by someone named Adam on Sunday, Oct.19 that I was charged twice. He said he was going to talk to his supervisor on Monday, Oct. 20 and then call me back, but he never did. I guess I just have to dispute the charge with my bank.

I had a car hauler reserved along with a truck. The car hauler was not available, even though I made a confirmed reservation several weeks in advance. Also, the first truck "assigned" to me was nowhere to be found. The second truck had such a dirty windshield that one could not see out. And bird poop all over the windshield.

Guys outside hooking/unhooking up trailer were great, thank you. I don't own a cell phone, my only phone is a landline at my home so having to provide a second # was a problem, my email or driver license should be sufficient. Silly to have to make up a false # .

"To Whom It May Concern at U-Haul, I am writing to file a formal complaint about the unacceptable behavior of an employee at your [1560 Mt Prospect Rd, Desplains, IL] location on [Spept. 29th 2025]. During my interaction regarding truck rental, the employee Christina was extremely rude, used profanity towards me, and demonstrated a profoundly unprofessional attitude. The specific incident occurred around 2:30pm~4pm. The employee said, Fxxk off, Very Rude word, Racis and her overall demeanor was hostile and disrespectful, and even try to stop other employee to rent a car for me. I was very disappointed by this experience, as I expect better from a company like U-Haul. I believe this employee's conduct violates your company's standards of customer service. This location was fine. The problem I had was, I was told I could drop off at any location, however, I was turned away at two other locations. Finally called customer support number and was on the phone for 20 minutes trying to find a location to drop off the equipment. Customer service said I had to drop off at the DesPlaines location, which was another 45 minutes from where I was at. Very frustrating experience. I was told by customer service that the information was emailed to me, but it was not.

I picked up the truck in Des Plaines IL, I threw out a used cookie in the seat, when returning the truck I was charged for clean the truck. I DON’T eat cookies as I am a diabetic! Also, it took me 15 mins to clean the bugs off the windshield before I could even drive it. I should not be charged for cleaning the windows or vacuuming the cookie crumbs. Ridiculous!

A U-Haul employee assaulted our delivery driver, and only sent them with with one of our two boxes. I tried to call the location 9 times over 4 days and never got a reply. I'll never use U-Haul again.
