Amy SEverything is fine. Kyle is a great asset to U Haul. My issue is: I wish I didn't have to traverl to & from Hanover, a decent sized small city, to Gettysburg to get the rental trailers I use. There needs to be a U haul location in Hanover with a selection of trailers.

KIRK LI've used this facility for many years. Always receive great service. I will continue to use this facility for my local favorite. Shawn is great.
MICHAEL RIn terms of equipment and service, I do not have any recommendations for improvement. It would be a help to have the 5x8 trailers equipped with a running light visible to the driver to verify when running that the trailer lights are all on. For example, when I would stop for fuel, I had to cut off my car lights; when resuming travel I realized I was already back on the highway and had not verified running lights were on. Secondly, it would be great if UHaul could 'rent' a cranking tongue wheel (as are common on boat trailers). For my use, I needed to off load some furniture in one location, reload with different and heavy furniture and then detach the trailer for 2 days until I was ready to make the return trip. Tongue weight was too much for me to lift, so I jury rigged a hydraulic jack on blocks to raise it and make re-hitching possible.

FRANK AKyle estimated the miles we would need incorrectly. We ended up with a $82 extra mileage charge but we gave him our address in Delancey, then to Binghamton. I could have dropped off in Oneonta for less money. A bit cranky about this.

DAVID SMy only complaint with the car trailer was the ratchet system. Basically, it hasn't been lubricated so the drum was metal on metal and really tough to crank or free-spool when trying to remove the strapping. At one point in my haul, the straps were flapping so I stopped and noticed the ratchets loosened completely causing a serious safety issue. Please periodically replace those ratchets and keep them lubricated and functioning well. All in all, it was a terrific value and great service at Gettysburg. I'll definitely rent from them again!
JAMES MBe honest and do not try to defraud customers. I will be seeking advice on the next steps and action. The actions from this unit is obvious that they do this regularly to customers. Unfortunately for them I refuse to be taken advantage of.

Juliana LThe trailer had cut straps on the tire holders and I feel could be dangerous . I even bought an extra strap to secure the pulling car tire . No even sure if they know the straps were cut . Thank you

LESLIE JEmployee was saying that we drove 61 miles. We only went 45 as we calculated it ourselves. The employee was rude to us during that time as well.

FRANK MTrailers get used and neglected, the staff was very supportive and got the issues resolved quickly, I believe U-hauls policy on trailer maintenance needs to be adjusted a little. The tie downs on the deck of the trailer were extremely small and were rendered useless with larger cargo. Again this is not a reflection of the staff/support at this location.

REGANNE E | First ImpressionsTruck smelled of cigarette smoke that caused allergy issues. Also the location was changed from Hanover which was not real convenient but would have worked better if that was indicated early on rather than by a notification the evening before.

BONITA WI would rate the customer service maybe one star. As a customer, the staff was more engaged in their conversation rather than communicating with me. They were complaining about other customers and staff members. Very unprofessional in my opinion. It’s as if I wasn’t even there. As far as the equipment I wasn’t given any instructions on how to use it.

AMY B | Overall ExperienceBad uneven seal on shed door at bottom. Rat poison dispensers and mouse glue traps on floor inside my assigned shed. Employee told me unit is not as temperature regulated as website claims. Also told me there was a flood at these units the week before & renters had to be called about it. Manager of facility absolutely refused to give me even a partial refund, even though I returned less than 24 hrs later to retrieve my stored items the very next day after renting the unit! I stood in front of employee who called their manager, and she did not even hesitate to say no to my refund request. The employee was aware that I was retrieving my stuff, but they marked my move out date almost a month later as a ploy to keep my money. I've trusted u-haul my entire life. (I'm in my 50's) but am utterly appalled and disappointed in this u-haul location and their lack of decency and professionalism!!!
THOMAS S | Overall ExperienceRAT POISON TRAPS AND MOUSE GLUE TRAPS, A TOTAL OF 3 INSIDE THE UNIT I RENTED. NO SEAL AT BOTTOM OF ROLLING DOOR ON RIGHT SIDE UNDER LOCK AT DOOR LEVEL. I WAS TOLD THE UNITS AT THIS FACILITY HAD RECENTLY FLOODED. THIS STORAGE LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE PROFESSIONAL AND CLEAN UNITS IN THE ONLINE VIDEO. I WAS ASKED BY THE EMPLOYEE ON DUTY FOR MY LOCK CODEWORD ON THE $15 LOCK I HAD JUST PURCHASED. WHEN I TOLD HIM I FELT UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THAT HE SAID HE DID NOT HAVE TO HAVE IT. ALSO, I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION BY U-HAUL'S ONLINE ADVERTISEMENT THAT THESE UNITS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE CLIMATE CONTROLLED. I WAS HOWEVER TOLD THAT THESE UNITS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO EXTREMES OF BOTH HEAT AND COLD. THE STUFF I PLANNED TO STORE WOULD HAVE BEEN AT RISK. I RETURNED THE FOLLOWING MORNING, THE DAY AFTER I HAD RENTED THIS UNIT, TO RETRIEVE MY ITEMS. I DID NOT FEEL THEY WERE SAFE THERE. I ASKED FOR A PARTIAL REFUND SINCE I HAD RENTED THIS UNIT FOR LESS THAN 24 HOURS, AND WAS REFUSED BY THE MANAGER THAT THE PERSON ON DUTY CALLED ON THE PHONE. I WOULD BE HAPPY WITH A REFUND FOR 3 WEEKS NOT USED, SINCE MY STUFF WAS THERE OVERNIGHT.
