I requested a 4x8 trailer for pickup in North Hollywood 3 weeks in advance. I was told a 4x8 wasn't available and that I would have to take a 5x8, and that it would be in Los Angeles. When I picked up at this location, there were two 4x8 trailers just sitting there. I asked the person in charge and he got cute with me and said, "I don't see any 4x8 trailers." I pointed to the two sitting there and said, "What are these?" and he pretended not to hear me. I explained to him that a 5x8 weighs about 100 lb more and therefore I'll be able to haul 100 lb less because of weight limits and he just said, "You should be happy you are getting a 5x8 at no extra cost." He was rude, and if I request a 4x8, I expect to have one waiting for me. U-Haul also moved my pickup 10 miles further away from where I requested it. So I didn't get the trailer I wanted, and didn't get the pickup location I wanted.
JON MJuan Hugarte the manger was very rude to us. It seemed like we were bothering him. Not helpful what so ever. He should not be a manager and/or in customer service. However, upon returning the truck , Jose was very nice and helpful. Good convo while he pulled up our details to pay. Juan should learn from Jose how to engage with customers and make them feel welcome.

Luis FI have used Uhall on and off for years and have always been very happy with the service. However, I will properly never rent from you again!!! It was absolute the most frustrating experience I have ever had, relaying on your customers to do all the work for you, by having to enter all the info on once small phone, and then also perform the self-inspection and taking pictures. And then the truck I received, had a Nail in the tire, so after my OWN inspection, I had to Reject the truck and then start all over again with a NEW inspection of. WTF!!!!! It took me over an hour to get out of your facility. AND from looking around I was not the only one, there were at least 5 other people with their heads stuck in their phones, trying to navigate your stupid online system! You took something that was actually good and turn it into something shitty. But I guess you need to keep your investors pocket full!!!

carlos hThe lack of customer service when checking in is wild.. In the past it’s always been very simple and streamlined to rent a car, now that they have this app it’s taken away the face to face interaction and made the check in process clunky and long even though it’s probably meant to do the opposite.

Michael CPoor customer service. Give the truck with a 3/4 of a tank of gas and expected to be returned full. Didn't provided a reimbursement whent I asked manager was kind of rude.
MILTON GI went and reserve a one way truck on the Sunday on the Wednesday I went to pickup the truck and I was told after waiting for an hour and have the employee to decide to serve a customer whom arrived after me before telling her it is okay I can server her I can wait all of what in Spanish thinking because I speak with a French accent I would not understand the conversation Anyhow she finally look at my reservation and told me she can’t rent a truck from what location and sent me to an other location and set up the rental for three days when I never ask for three days I plan to get the rental for 2 days , when I arrived at the new location they have no blanket for rent so it was very poor start then when I returned the truck it was never recorded correctly until 5 days later
Bruno MStaff directs you to virtual check in. Three employees waiting to look at confirmation codes, instead of being able to move a line along. Vehicle was fine.

Nathan NThe app only check in process was an absolute nightmare. It took us 20 minutes where if we were able to simply check in it would have taken 3! The staff was kind, but they could do absolutely nothing except tell us the next hurdle we would need in the app. I will never go to this location again. The app process was ridiculous, I HAD to share my location and personal info with no choices to opt out. Every customer in there was as frustrated as we were. It was horrible

U-Hauls website does NOT make it clear & obvious that in order pick up you will HAVE to check in on line or download the app. Because this is a newer change to their system no one in the store knew it either. It left the person at the desk to tell EVERYONE there to download the app in order to check in. It wasted about 20 minutes of everyone’s time. The website didn’t work to check in so it had to be the app. PUT THIS CHECK IN CHNAGE INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE.

ASHLEY WThe lack of customer service was absolutely shocking. The employee hooking up the trailer was incredibly careless, even slamming the trailer into my hitch without a second thought. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment—just complete indifference. To make matters worse, despite already submitting all my personal information and credit card details online, I was forced to provide them again. Then, as if that wasn’t invasive enough, they took a picture of me—something that made me feel deeply uncomfortable, especially considering I am a loyal customer who frequently rents trailers as part of my business. This experience was beyond disappointing—it was frustrating, embarrassing, and unacceptable. Please update your system immediately to ensure no customer has to endure this kind of treatment again.

NICHOLAS SI did an after-hours return so didn't interact with anyone then, but had called into the location to confirm I could return the trailer after store hours and the employee I spoke to (I believe her name was Annie) was very kind and helpful.

Keith RUpon checking in, I had to wait about 10 minutes. Finally when I was treated, the person was a little rude and short. When I came back to return the vehicle I waited in the return line. There was knee customer in front of me, after waiting nearly 10 min, 2 employees both went to the cars behind me to help them skipping me. After I went up the the clerk and told him I have been waiting here before them he told me I needed to wait till he finished with the other guest.

CARMELY UMade reservation online for my parents to avoid the extra hassle at the counter and they still ended up having to go through it. Employee claimed the person driving had to provide their credit card and they could not use the credit card that was on file. This persons customer service was horrible; bad attitude, not helpful, rude, and gave my parents a hard time from the start. My credit card still ended up being charged even though she claimed they couldn’t use the information we had originally set up the reservation with. My parents said they wish used another location.
Carl FJuan H over charged me and was extremely deceptive/dishonest when answering detail questions. A disrespectful prick that charged me before I even returned the rental. If you’re a decent business professional I would not recommend doing business with him behind the desk.

LIONEL UFirst time I’ve ever driven a Uhual and to say that my anxiety was at all time high is an understatement. I arrived at my reservation time and was warmly greeted by Shanelle . She was quite knowledgeable and reassured me all was going to be ok . Sometimes it’s the little things that matter most ! Her postive reinforcement and supportive attitude was exactly what I needed. She was able to efficiently process my recreation and in a world where something always seems to go wrong I was pleased that all went with no hiccups ! Thank you Shanelle and the U-Haul team !
