It was unfair to give the truck with only 1/4 tank of gas. With gas prices, then each person trying to return it with only 1/4 tank of gas but no more than they have to. We returned it with just SLIGHTLY less than 1/4 of a tank and got charged $50. After already paying $800 for the rental, receiving it with only 1/4 of a tank, putting nearly $200 in gas in it, then to be charged another $50? It felt mean.

Joshua MThe only issue was with the return service. I had to do it after hours, and the app didn't work. I was there waiting 20 min and the app didn't work, then I called customer service and it probably was another 10min waiting time. Finally got resolved but it was a long waiting time.

Richard SThere were two issues with the trailer. The first was noticed when picking it up. The ”nut” you tighten to clamp the hitch ball was deformed. It appeared that a previous renter had jackknifed the trailer deforming the “nut”. Tightening the “nut” was difficult so I partially fixed this with a heavy hammer. The second issue was the rear door. I did not open at the facility but when I got home I did and the door dropped at least an inch. I noticed that all the upper rivets holding the hinge in place had failed. I replaced five rivets and the door worked fine. There are more rivets to be replaced but I only had five. The folks at the facility were very understanding and good to work with.

Thomas PI paid the $16 "insurance" fee to protect me in case of any accident or damage to the cargo van I rented. It was not mentioned to me that paying that fee would not prevent U-Haul from charging a "deductible" even if the fee was paid.

Spencer WThe van I rented wasn’t capable of moving my things. You dont rent straps which is CRAZY… so I took the van to the location just to turn around and turn it back in. There was nothing to strap my items to in the back to prevent them from rolling around. The dolly I rented didn’t even have anywhere to go without being tossed around the back of the van.. complete waste of my time and money. Also, the van wasn’t even pulled out for me when I arrived, I had to navigate it out of the parking lot and drive it between other vans that were completely too closely parked. It almost felt like a setup since I didn’t pay for the unnecessary insurance yall tried to upsell me on multiple times. Your website added items to my cart and tried to upsell me things I didn’t even express interest in. And your staff, other than lending me their personal straps, which I couldn’t even use, were cold and very determined to make the sale despite my concern with it not being able to work. Overall, you guys suck. I’ll just ask a stranger with a truck for help next time cause they’ll actually be able to do it.

Marcia KI had a great experience returning the trailer. There attendant was very thoughtful. Walked around the trailer with me expected it. Make sure there was no damage that I made may have had I showed the problems that were found by me and I picked it up in Florida and everything was good at the drop off location.
