FLORIAN DMore a minor annoyance but the truck had an odd metallic rattle sound from the engine. Also, although I understand the old trucks aren't equipped with rear cameras (sure would be nice) I thought a back-up "beep" was required? A safety must-have with a 15-ft truck.

DAVIS KI did order the furniture dolly and it wasn’t available when I got there and so I ended up using the regular dolly. Disappointing but the young man finally did compensate me for being inconvenienced. I think the system needs upgraded to assist in this online orders and in person pick up. That way they know the inventory or what to give out and what is already available.
JAKE HI went to return the vehicle and there was quite a few young people working there just standing around chitchatting lollygagging. The girl at the counter was literally eating a pop tart I asked if they were going to check in the vehicle. She said they will get to it. Nobody was doing anything but standing around. I told her I wanted a receipt so I know what my charges are before I left the building, I went outside. I waited for a while and a kid came out and checked in the vehicle and said $93 so I asked how much was mileage. Was there a gas charge since I brought it back with the exact same actually a little more I went back in the girl was still sitting at the counter, helping customers eating a pop tart and not actually helping anybody just consuming a pop tart right at the front counter. Totally unprofessional, total, juvenile arrogant attitude from the people that worked there I will not rent from this location again this is the second time that this kind of behavior from the employees happens.

JUAN AI always recommend this location. All the people have always been really helpful. You guys have everything that anybody can think of. As far as any packing material if you don’t have lights for your truck or any of the hook ups, you guys do that as well you guys have all kinds of tongues and hitches. And you guys always have every piece of material on deck, whether it comes from a truck right down to a car dolly or any trailer. I never go anywhere else whenever I need something I go straight to this location.
DAVID RMy experience with U-Haul was a disaster. I reserved the truck and trailer weeks in advance. The day before my pickup was scheduled, a rep called me to tell me they were out of vans. I had a reservation! The reservation keeps the van theee! So they sent me to another location further away which delayed my departure time and caused me to have to pay the moving help for time they spent waiting. Then when I got there, nothing was ready. What should have taken 10-14 minutes took nearly and hour. Which caused further delays. Then to make matters worse, after I loaded the van and car hauler, I didn’t get 10 miles from my house and the trailer had a tire blowout which left me stranded in the side of the road for over an hour until roadside came. These delays and disorganization from U-Haul caused a delay in my move by a whole day, costing me time and money.

Scott PThe drop off was the issue. We had a drop off location at the Pony Express on Lakeview and went to drop it off on the 11th (Monday). The location was closed due to a family emergency. I called and left a message. They instructed me to take it to the location at 860 South Placentia, in Placentia, CA. I did that on Monday afternoon (November 11th). I asked repeatedly about checking it in and they said they had done it. However, I then got charged for an extra day (Wednesday, November 13th) for a late check in. Someone didn't do their job correctly!!

Janet cNo sense of urgency at all. They lost my ubox and I've had to bend over backwards to try and find it. Absolutely garbage customer service.
Huy PTrailer and pick up was fine. I used the app. I used the app for drop off too and was following the directions when some employee came out yelling “sir, sir, don’t do that” as I already had the trailer unhooked and the gooseneck in my hands, lowering it to the ground. Then he rudely says “didn’t you hear me?” I told him I was following the directions on the app to which he replied “that’s only for when we aren’t here. I woukd have just had you back it up.” It was a 5x9 open trailer, I could have moved it myself. Also guess I misunderstood what 24/7 means on the signage and the app. Anyway, a gal came out to help him move the trailer and was much more friendly. That guy can KMA.

LOURDES AThe truck “reserved” was not available so the “upgraded” the truck to a 26 foot truck. They assured me it had the same gas mileage, but in the end, it could not maneuver as well because it was so big.

BURT AI had a 7:00 AM truck reservation at your location, and per U-Haul policy, there is a one-hour grace period for pickup. However, at 7:20 AM I received a call from one of your store representatives who scolded me for being late and threatened to cancel my reservation if I didn’t arrive immediately. When I arrived shortly after, the store was completely empty except for the same clerk and the general manager. The clerk continued to be rude and condescending in person, even as his manager stood nearby and overheard the interaction without intervening. This experience was completely unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile. I expect better treatment as a paying customer and would appreciate if this incident is addressed appropriately with the staff involved.

FRANCES RMy issue is not with the location but with your customer service, I made my reservation the week before to pick-up the trailer near my home in Cypress, I received a call the night before stating Cypress did not have a trailer, I would have to drive further to pick-up in Placentia not ideal but I made the drive, the reservation was also to drop in Parker AZ and again late Friday I received a call stating I could not drop the trailer in Parker customer service was asking me to drive 49mi to Lake Havasu to drop it, to go 1hr each way to drop the trailer. I refused and insisted on taking the trailer back near my home, they asked me to take it to Westminster which I did but this whole thing was wrong every step of the way.

Monica MMy van was not clean and also making a lot of noise when I return. I make sure that I put more than half tank gas and they still charge me for additional gas.

Sonja SThing were great until they decided to rip me off on a fuel charge. I literally drove the truck just 5 miles. Total nonsense and clear tactic to steal money. Soured the entire transaction.
JEFFREY RI was unfairly charged for a half tank of gas even though the truck was only at about a quarter tank when I got it. I also noticed an error in the mileage they recorded. I showed the staff a picture I took of the fuel gauge and mileage when I dropped the vehicle off, but they refused to accept it and were quite rude about the situation. This was the worst possible experience

WAYNE FI made a reservation via the texting number for a ubox of mine to be on a trailer. The person I was texting said they’d call the night before to see what time I’d be showing up. They never did. The reservation was made for midnight, so I figured they’d just have it ready to go regardless. I showed up and said I had a reservation. The girl working the desk rolled her eyes, said that she didn’t have it ready because she hoped someone else was coming in and they’d take care of it. She smugly said that ‘it’d take a good minute, because they were buried.’ I waited 45 minutes for my box to be ready on a trailer. That is completely unacceptable. I already had to drive 30 minutes to a location I never wanted my boxes to be brought to. Originally my boxes were in Midway City, and now to get a box and return it is already over an hour. She was completely unapologetic, zero regard that she was wasting my Sunday that I had slated for moving. This is not the first time this location has blown off a reservation. A few months ago I had done the same thing, made a reservation a few days before, brought help with me, only to wait 30-45 minutes for my boxes to be brought down. This place needs to get it together. I was 100% impressed with uhaul before ever going to this location and now I’m hesitant ever using them again
