I made a reservation via the texting number for a ubox of mine to be on a trailer. The person I was texting said they’d call the night before to see what time I’d be showing up. They never did. The reservation was made for midnight, so I figured they’d just have it ready to go regardless. I showed up and said I had a reservation. The girl working the desk rolled her eyes, said that she didn’t have it ready because she hoped someone else was coming in and they’d take care of it. She smugly said that ‘it’d take a good minute, because they were buried.’ I waited 45 minutes for my box to be ready on a trailer. That is completely unacceptable. I already had to drive 30 minutes to a location I never wanted my boxes to be brought to. Originally my boxes were in Midway City, and now to get a box and return it is already over an hour. She was completely unapologetic, zero regard that she was wasting my Sunday that I had slated for moving. This is not the first time this location has blown off a reservation. A few months ago I had done the same thing, made a reservation a few days before, brought help with me, only to wait 30-45 minutes for my boxes to be brought down. This place needs to get it together. I was 100% impressed with uhaul before ever going to this location and now I’m hesitant ever using them again

Tami TNot sure what happened. Went into pick up the equipment, they would not give it to me even though it was sitting 10 feet from me. They charged me for it. Not sure why it said come back the next day at 12 o’clock. I came back the next day. I showed him that it was already charged and they said that doesn’t matter they had to charge me again so I ended up paying double for the trailer. They would not do anything about it would not recommend this U-Haul.
KERWIN MJust wanted to drop this little tidbit of information I rented a trailer. The first time went smooth. Guy did a great job. The second time I went back to get the trailer. They said the trailer wasn’t there and it was sitting right in front of me they wouldn’t give it to me, but they charged me for it. They said I could pick it up tomorrow. I picked it up tomorrow then they charged me for it again. Disappointing would not recommend this U-Haul.

JONATHAN STerrible experience! I booked online for a mobile pick up at 7:00M. I also called after I booked online and spoke to a person who verified that I booked correctly and the truck was already ready for me for the next day. When I arrived at 7:20 and followed the instructions sent to me it stated that I had to wait until the store opened at nine. I called customer service who wanted me to go to a new location, when an employee showed up early for work. He ended up helping us before his shift started. I appreciate his help, however, the truck that he gave us had no gas so now we were already very behind schedule and had to stop for gas. I don’t know who runs a truck expecting it to be on low fuel! This was a terrible experience and I will let everyone I know know about this.

THANG DThe driver that delivered the containers to my first location did not call me when she was on her way even through I was told she would. She did not acknowledge me when she arrived at my home even though I went outside when I saw she was there. The entire time she was making the delivery she was on the telephone with someone else. All over interactions with the company were friendly and helpful. Everything arrived in the same condition that it was packed. Nothing was damaged. An overall great experience.

Mario ALocation was fine. I don't think your computer software is up to date. The guy working the computer was having issues with your system loading information in a timely manner (I think at one point we were just sitting there waiting five minutes for it to load). In transit, a few of my items were damaged but not to the extremes I would complain. This taught me more to secure items down using more straps or rope. The Uhaul Placentia had my U-Box ready to be accessed before the time I requested so I appreciated that.

SHADEE AI was at the door when the U-Haul store on Placentia Ave in Fullerton, CA. One Clerk and six customers.. I am a veteran with a military disability. And I asked if UHaul gives a discount clerk said he would do so when I checked in the truck the next day. I waited for 30 minutes after returning for the answer that there Uhaul doesn't do that. As X Army, I should be good at waiting, I'm just not. The Truck, the service from the staff, other than that, was top notch.
STEVEN HRemove the advertisement sign from the truck before renting it to customers. Check the turn signals - from the moment we got the truck, the right signal wasn't working. Employees were not very professional, and two of them were openly talking with their boss about showing up late to work in front of customers who had been waiting a long time.

BARBARA GI constantly get either teased or harassed that I come to the UHaul 15 minutes before closing. Whether its to rent a truck or to return a truck. There are 2 employees here that seem to have a problem. One of them is a nice guy, the one that was working today at the time of return. I showed up at 620pm , waited behind a customer who he was helping for 10 minutes and then had to ask him if I should just do a mobile return. He thought it was funny to say "oh your the guy that always comes before closing haha". Now I actually like this guy, not like the other guy who actually gave me massive attitude last week. But for him to think he can joke like that in front of other customers and embarrass me pisses me off. I pay uhaul fucking money to rent your shit. I comply with reservation times and your website clearly lays out slots of when I can and cannot rent equipment. So your people at Uhaul of Placentia seem to think they work in a government position where we customers are blessed to have them help us. You guys are a private enterprise and we are your customers, this is total BS. Your culture has problems and you guys dont staff enough at your location here so maybe they are overwhelmed. You guys need to fix it. Again I like the guy from today. The guy who really pissed me off was last time, he was an African American gentleman and when I came for returning a rental last time he makes a comment to the guy who is actually helping me , and says you should make him do mobile checkout. I looked at him and said wow that's harsh and then he says im just trying to get home to my family. Later when I was saying bye to the guy who helped me I said bye to him too and he looks at me , doesnt respond, and keeps walking like he's angry with me. Talk about hostile culture. I really do like the guy from today though, but he is now starting to think he can make gestures or jokes about me coming towards closing. When infact I came at 620 not 7! So I went ahead and offered to do mobile return and as I was walking away there were 2 customers who just pulled up and another one still there. Is he going to make the same comments to them? Fix your culture at this location, offer them incentives or do some training and staff properly. They are entitled employees and forget who the customer is.

BRION BMy 15ft truck reservation was moved to this location, so I called the store to confirm and asked for an appliance dolly. When I arrived, the employee said they didn’t have a dolly and argued that I had called customer service, not them—even though I called the store directly. Instead of resolving the issue, he kept stopping mid-conversation to help other people, leaving and coming back, which made the situation even more frustrating. The truck was fine, but the customer service was unprofessional and dismissive.

GUY MThe girl didn’t review my contract with me and gave me a contract for a return vehicle when I needed a one way. I told her I was driving 350 miles. Why would she put me down for a return vehicle? She never mentioned anything about it to me and I was left with a surprise $600 charge.

ROBERT MAbsolutely no effect on usability, but outside of front trailer was muddy. Inside of trailer was clean. However, this meant I had to take pictures for the record just to make sure I didn't get blamed and charged a cleaning fee. A minor inconvenience. This could have been avoided if trailer was washed down before rental. Otherwise, service and speed at pickup and return was excellent, absolutely no complaints. I always use this facility and they are generally great.
Anthony RFirst of all . I had reservations for a pick up truck at one location close to my house. When I arrived at said location the worker there told me that the vehicle that I reserved wasn’t there. So they redirected me to another location a lot further away thus adding more miles then I had originally planned. Was very upset and frustrated not a good experience.

When I went inside there was 1 employee helping a customer check out a rental, 1 employee on the phone making an out of state reservation and 2 employees (male & female) laughing with each messing around no care at all to help me. Plus there was another customer waiting behind me! They both walked out of store together & the 1 employee that was on phone muted the call and said to the 2 walking out the door " really you both are really going to walk away" I was so frustrated that I downloaded the Uhaul app and rented the truck! *Also not happy about the pick up truck fees! I did not know I was going to be charged $89.00 day because I went over 100 miles! I thought it was $19.95 included 100 miles and pay additional per mile over the 100. * Ridiculous to pay $137 to rent a pick up truck for half a day plus $30.00 gas replacemt! Total $167.00 not worth it
AMY MThe U-Haul location in Placentia was ok; nothing to brag about. The U-boxes were not ready for the movers to move along quickly but I had the worst experience ever at the U-haul location in Garland. Very disorganized; unprofessional, clueless, oblivious and don't care; the U Boxes were late. Spent a whole day calling them several times to find the boxes on the date the movers went to pick them up and they couldn't find them. Finally, toward late afternoon, they located the boxes but it was too late for the movers to pick them up so we scheduled for the next day. On the next day, the whole story started again when the movers go there, U-Haul was not able to find the boxes and the movers waited for about an hour; then had a flat on the rented truck. Toward the end of the day, U-haul employee could not find the last box and I was told on the day before that they found all 7 boxes. The movers waited about two hours and U-haul told them they can't find it and to come back the next day. I called U-haul for assistant and everyone who answered the phone send me to another person with no luck. I drove down to U-haul but by the time I got there, they have found the box and the movers were nice enough to wait for it and complete their job. This type of business is unacceptable!
