Was given a truck on empty with the light on. Had to fill up to 1/4 for return but that’s not how it was received so had to pay for extra gas

Sara was very helpful and makes it easy to rent a u-haul even tho the trailer was clean and a bit dirty with dirt stain but it does the job and that’s all it matters.
PANG KI originally reserved the 4x7 trailer at the Tamoshanter location, but was sent to California Street location. Wilson Way was closer and had one for me to rent. The Tamoshanter location had a 4x7 on their lot, but said someone else had a reservation. I had a reservation too and was there first, the other person should have been sent to another location instead of me. This is the second time this has happened in three months.

JAMES DMake sure your trucks are up to date with the maintenance I had to change trucks before I could leave it made me late for my appointment because the maintenance on the first truck was a big risk

DANA Cthe two people (a young male & older woman) who were working during the time i came to pay for the unit I was renting were both so friendly and gave me tips on purchasing with u-haul for the future i really appreciated them and their insight! When we asked them to sweep the unit they had no trouble doing so, it was still dirty ( not their fault) but they slide their best to get it as clean because i was going to bemoaning my king bed and bed frame in it. i also appreciate the low cost of $37 & some change to rent the unit for 24hrs

ALICE JWhen I picked up the truck, the gas level didn't match what was on the paperwork. The guy did fix it. I drove it 4 miles home and parked it(we were using it the next day). And I decided to check the mileage, it was 50 miles off. I called and they did fix it. But make sure before you drive off, that all the info is correct. Because if they didn't fix it, I would have had to pay much more.

JOSE QI booked my truck a week in advance and was meant to pick it up at Livermore, but less than 24 hours before my pick up time they called to tell me they didn’t have a suitable truck, and I would have to drive an extra two hours to the Stockton location to get one that matched my needs. Obviously, this had a large negative impact on my schedule. This was a really frustrating experience, and the Livermore agents were particularly uncaring and dismissive. The Stockton folks were a little more apologetic and tried to help. I have since been informed that this is a common U-Haul tactic, of confirming and “guaranteeing” a truck, but then at the last minute when you have no other choices, they just switch it out on you and leave you scrambling, and when you ask about the guarantee proudly advertised on the U-Haul website, they simply point to the fine-print and say no guarantee was actually made, and you only selected preferences. Deceitful and shady behaviour. Extremely disappointing overall, and U-Haul will be my last choice for truck rentals going forward.
PHIROZE DI asked to pick up in Lodi. I had never been to Stockton and never plan on going back. What an awful area for a U-Haul. It was scary and I felt in danger the whole time. Luckily the staff that worked there was amazing! But the location itself felt very dangerous!

JAMES BLewis was extremely rude and simply unwilling to provide entry-level customer service. He made me and my daughter not only feel uncomfortable but unsafe. He started at us and was unresponsive to my questions and refused to call corporate. He also refused to pull the truck out for us, it was parked in a difficult position to pull out. He should not be a manager.

MONEESA MI reserved a 6 x 12 trailer for pickup at the Tam O Shanter location for a move that morning. I showed up at 7:30am to find out they didn't have the trailer I already reserved. I had to then drive to another location and pickup one there. I had family waiting at my house who were on a tight schedule, so the trailer not being there was upsetting. It was unprofessional not bothering to give me a call that morning letting me know it was not available, thats customer service 101.

JULIO FVet out the moving companies you offer to clients the first company we hired never called us back. Being more clear on your website about the process. Our U-Boxes had to stay in a parking lot overnight because the movers couldn't get them there on time. Overall it was a very frustrating process.
