In general, for longer mileage and interstate moves, the trucks are very uncomfortable. There isn’t any insulation in the cab and the noise from the engine is quite loud. You can’t have a conversation or hear the radio. Not too mention the whistling from the aerodynamics. The worst part is the truck should have some basic automotive functions, like cruise control and blue tooth capability. After 13 hours driving the lack of cruise control is ridiculous. These are basic safety items that longer moves should have, especially for how costly it is to rent the truck to do an interstate move.

The girl that took the car at the one 800 number was a complete rude lady And I didn’t get the trailer I wanted that I said I wanted and then the guys at U-Haul said that the trailer was reserved and sat there until the next morning when I return the other one thank you so much U-Haul for another stupid horrible experience

I'd ordered furniture pads, but once I was there, I was told they didn't have them. He then found half of what I'd ordered, which helped. I wasn't able to check out on-line as I'd been told; the previous day I was told to go to another location, so maybe it was only the previous place that allowed on-line checkout. I had to wait 20 minutes past my reservation time to be helped. You need more staff to check people in, especially on a weekend. I was moving out of state and was on a tight schedule, so the delay was inconvenient.

After 20 minutes of trying to log in to return the truck via Uhaul Share 24/7 and 15!minutes of waiting to speak to a representative (after hours) we realized I couldn’t return my equipment because I was registered the incorrect truck. (This was 8:30 pm) No apologies, no discounts... just rude customer service and charged more than I was quoted!

UHaul changed the pickup and drop off location. No email was received on the drop off location change. The distance between the reserved pickup location and where I was redirected was 27 miles away, but offered only 20 miles as compensation. When the truck was returned the odometer was ONE mile above the limit and UHaul charged me $0.40 plus tax! What a business model!!

The right side mirror came off when I tried to close it. It had no bearings and was just stuck on the pole. Luckily we were moving just a few blocks. the inside of the truck was clean and everything else was fine.

The online pickup with the phone is a great concept. I'd say prep people for how long it takes to complete the process, it took nearly ten minutes for someone to tell me they were checking me out. I didn't mind the time, I just didn't no what to expect and wondered if something went wrong. Then something did go wrong, it wouldn't let me update the odometer or gas or anything it just said I was good to go. So I left, I took a picture of the odometer and gas just in case there was a dispute. Also there was no furniture dolly in the truck even though I was charged for it. The guy who checked me in when I dropped it off was super chill. He laughed and said he knew there wasn't a dolly in there because he didn't put it in the night before. He said not to worry he would just check it in as if I got it, no harm no foul. I noticed later I still paid the ten bucks for it even though I never got it or used it. Not about to go through the hassle trying to get ten bucks back. I'd just say that you need to make sure the staff puts everything in the truck that is requested or let me know that I need to go inside and get it. Maybe you told me that and I didn't see it. Either way, I'd still recommend you guys, I was thankful everything went well and I was able to return it early and not have to pay for the additional day. So it that was nice. Thanks!

I was supposed to pick up in Manteca. Go pick it up, find out I have to go to Stockton to pick 1 up. This is crap. Let alone the extra miles going back to Ripon.

I ordered a small 19.95 truck in Modesto. Had to go to Stockton to get it. Then I didn't get the 19.95 truck, they gave me the 29.95 truck. So I had to pay mileage from Stockton to Modesto and back to Stockton. I didn't get what I wanted and had to pay more than I thought. I thought I was going to get the small truck and pick it up in Stanislaus county. Not a happy camper for sure. I have heard from others that this is how they are.
