Gas tank was little over half way full, when I spoke to them, they told me to just take a pic, which I did while still in their parking lot. They said it would be corrected and to show it to drop off location. The pic clearly displayed the tank level and the uhaul parking lot.

BANDIOUGOU DThe app requires that the secondary contact person answer their phone. That should be known before entering the contact not after. A big pain to switch while standing outside and then having to wait for you to actually call them.
Brian CI made my reservation approximately 2 weeks in advance of the pickup date, and yet when I came to pick up the trailer the location did NOT have items I had reserved, specifically moving blankets (I reserved 24, they only had 7-8), a furniture dolly, and a regular dolly. The employee suggested checking if another location had the items (I would have to go pick them up) but I opted to have the items taken off my bill. Trailer was relatively clean on the inside excluding some old gummy bears and a bag of someone's clothing. The employee who 'assisted' me was not very professional but was nice enough. He did not realize that I had reserved a one-way trip which apparently dictated what trailer I was able to take. I would not recommend this location to anyone who is looking for competence or people who wish to provide the best service possible.
David TEasy after hours drop off, but i screwed up the online check-in, not trying till i was back at the place we were staying. Called the location in the AM and they checked it in for me.

Lenora SI feel I was misled by your employee Musa. When I picked up the vehicle in Philadelphia I informed that the amount of fuel reflected on the paperwork did not reflect the actual amount show on the gauge. He told I needed to contact the drop off location with this information. When I dropped off the vehicle the management at that location referred to the pick up location. I called the 4857 Chestnut Street location and was eventually directed to the manager Mr Musa. I recognized his voice from his assistance when I obtained the vehicle. At first he denied it was him. Then he admitted it and agreed to change the fuel reading. However he did not keep his word. I am most disappointed. I will dispute this. Is this how your company treats customers and their hard earned money?

DAVID FThe self-checkin process should give all steps prior to getting the keys. The staff in store stated that they didn’t know how to do it. The keys were not picked up. When checking out the app didn’t tell me to take a location the mileage or gas status until after you state that the vehicle was returned. There should be an option to switch from self checkin and checkout, but there is not. I will never use it again. Also it’s over 6 hours later and I still have not been emailed a receipt and cannot locate it in the app. Worst experience ever at U-Haul.

Roy WI drove 10 miles to move a single 300lb desk along a flat elevation route and U-Haul charged me for 3 gals of gas. I looked up the gpm on U-Haul trucks and it’s 10-15 mpg. With so many other rental companies using computers to accurately measure gas usage U-Haul should adopt such technology and stop relying on a humans“eyeballing it”. This is not the 1st time I thought U-Haul was overestimating the gas usage but it’s was blatantly obvious on this occasion.
George BThat location I went to was very nice well mannered and very helpful. However, another location had me waiting for 45 minutes and I left.
WILLIAM DThe truck was full of garbage upon picking it up and the gas was at 1/16th. The request additions to the reservation including dollys to move furniture were all missing even after being charged. After returning the truck with the same garbage and socks inside that were there when we picked it up the staff was rude and claimed that the garbage was ours and that we would be charged. Horrible experience.

Rick VAgents need to go to customer service classes. Interaction was horrible and I do not think they know proper procedures at that location. Returned the truck before location opened, left keys in the drop box and the agent called asking where are the keys without checking the box first. Totally did not understand procedures
DENISE JI received a U-Haul truck the was empty on gas and was charged a $26 fee before I drove the U-Haul.They added insurance even though I didn’t also was charged an extra $15 for that

JEANETTE KTruck was clean. Passenger door had a "door open" warning that would not stop flashing. Also, Graffiti on the back of the truck. Not a big deal, but it was there in big black letters.
Edward NI made a reservation via the mobile app days prior and when I arrived, I was first told there were no vans available. Then one was magically found and I was first told I would have to bring it back in 6 hours when it was reserved for 24 hours. Connecting the dots between guaranteed reservations as advertised and managing walk-up service is crucial to retaining customers.
DANA OStaff were courteous and efficient. Van was clean and ready to go. Price was as quoted. My one and only problem was that the dolly that I had reserved was not available because all dollies had been given to other customers already. This is a big deal. Doing a move without a dolly is so much more work than doing a move with a dolly. Without the dolly, I can't give the experience a five star review.

CASSANDRA RVehicle was clean but the headlights did not work
JERMAINE FTrailer was full of somebody else's goods. U-Haul employee had to put them in another trailer. Once empty, the trailer was clean. There is some major, serious problem with the wi-fi network for terminals at the desk. The response is so slow that it takes many minutes to make a payment or get a receipt. Employees have to use their cell phones to do the transactions. Customers had to wait a very long time for service. Other than that, things went ok. Also, I had to pick up the trailer from this location rather than the one I had initially reserved it at. I changed the time to extend a day, and you were supposed to call me if there were any problems. Instead, I learned from the previous location when I went there that you texted me about the change in pickup site, but the phone number I have is a land line that does not receive texts. This caused me a big delay.

GEORGE BThe truck was filthy. The staff were not helpful. The truck drove very rough (it felt like a gear was slipping). During my entire move, I was very concerned about the truck breaking down. When I returned the truck, I informed the employee of the issues with the truck. His response was "I don't care. I don't know what you want me to do about that." I will not be returning to this U-Haul location.
Stacy BThe begin of the experience was cool…very professional rep helped us with the rental. We had the rental for about 3 hours before the battery died. When we called the roadside assistance they told us because we used the hazard lights it drained the battery. We never knew that was a rule but a lesson well learned!! Told me I had to pay 250 to have assistance and the insurance I had does not cover battery issues. We had to figure out something without the help of U-Haul and we did to get that broken truck back to the lot. I won’t be U-Haul again. Thanks but no thanks…

YOLONDA GNothing to do with the location. Your process is horrible. Called at 430pm the day before to confirm the location and pick up. Showed up at 730 and was told the location change, zero notification. So I then drove another ten minutes. Nothing changed between 430pm and 730am that should’ve prevented you all from knowing the location changed. Do better.
Sean MThere was a homeless man sleeping in our truck. The attendant got us another truck which reeked of cigarettes. If there were any alternative to uhaul, I would use it in a heartbeat!

ROBERT WThe only “downside “ to the experience was that the rep who scheduled the appt did not provide “full disclosure “ of the rental amount. When I went to pay for the truck; it was 3x the amount discussed on the phone. Not cool U-HAUL; Do better!
