It took me a 45 minute wait to pick up a truck that I had reserved in advance. When I first arrived, they were so understaffed that there was no one even at the front desk. Once that one person finally arrived 5 minutes later, it took another 20 minutes for the first person in line to be helped, and this didn't lead to a resolution of their issue but only a promise (from the regional manager on the phone) to resolve it the next day. The wait in line at this location is always long.

I had a blown reservation at the Havertown location. Made a quick call to the University City location and no problem. The manager ( Lashanee sp?) squared things quickly while handling other customers. :-)

When I rented my van, I was given a paper and told to sign it. I then paid for the van. I was then handed the keys and was told "that's your van." I left the store. It turns out that the paper I signed prior to even knowing what vehicle I would be renting was signing off on no existing damage to the van. How am I supposed to sign off on this prior to seeing the vehicle? This is a dishonest and deceiving practice on the part of U-haul. Walk-arounds should be done by customer representatives with customers prior to asking them to sign these papers.

If I could rate 0 out of five I would have. Customer service is beyond poor. They are rude and hang up it your ear. Online chat abruptly ends conversation even if you haven’t finished conversing. The truck broke down on the highway and we waited close to 6 hours for roadside assistance. All the while their automated messages tell you “Your in control” when clearly no one not even U-haul themselves were in control. Never again!!!

I reserved a truck on Thursday for a Friday pick up. I was given a rate of ,79 a mile. They charged me .99, spoke to manager 2x about it. Lanesha promised 2x she would fix it, but never did. Now i will have to dispute with customer service and my bank. I am due a $8 refund

I was told the gas was 1/2 a tank but it was less. The truck transmission ran very rough. The people that work there are nice. I had a horrible experience with u-haul when trying to make the reservation. Why do you offer a recording of the call if the people who work for you refuse to provide one. A truly horrible experience.

Employee lied and told me that I can bring the vehicle back before a certain time which was a lie and now I had to pay for a second day instead of just one day. Now the money that was suppose to be on my card after the renting the vehicle was for my daughter clothes and now I have to wait to buy her some new clothes.

Upon return, rep told me I had to wipe the floor of the cab and mop the back to avoid cleaning charge. I have rented many trucks and several from this location and never had to wipe or mop anything nor does the agreement state any such requirement, only broom clean.

There was no key for our initial truck at Havertown location. A worker took it home as is his habit. The manager Anthony was supposed gobe helping us but instead disappeared for a half hour. We watched while other people got their trucks. They had a truck our size but would not let us have it because it was reserved for someone else who had shown up. It seemed they must have been a friend to Anthony so we were screwed. Anthony offered us a $50.00 credit if we would go into the city. It was our only option and were moving that day. So, we were transferred to University City where the manager Laneesha skipped over us in line because we were a transfer. Then, instead of allowing us to drop the keys off after hours, as we were told by Anthony that we could, since we lost so much time, Laneesha forced us to bring it back 1 hour early if we wanted to get the credit they offered us in order to switch locations. Unbelievable. The truck wasn't cleaned out and still had the paperwork from the previous person. It had a large spill in the back and not swept out. There were cashews in the seats, cp holder and on th. I called them right away, came back the next day and they still threw the item out. I will NEVER use U Haul again. It was the worst experience.

I don't think it can be improved. When I returned my vehicle, the staff immediately processed what had to be done to let me go. It was within minutes. Very pleased about that.
