The problem I had was mainly with the uhaul reservation system. I rented a 10" truck and an auto transport, or at least I tried to. The website asked me for the make and model of the car being transported and verified that the auto transport was suitable. I loaded the truck and went back for the auto transport, but it was too large for the very small car ( a Smart car). The wheels would have been falling off the edges of the tracks on the transport. The staff at this location was reasonably helpful given the circumstance. They suggested a tow dolly and found me a location that had one. When I went to the other location, the website wouldn't allow the staff member to rent me the tow dolly because it was unsuitable for the car. The dolly probably would have fit, but the staff member understandably didn't want to risk his job by renting it to me after the website specifically instructed him he was not allowed to. I guess the point is don't trust the website when determining whether your car is suitable for towing. Since we already had the truck loaded, my elderly mother had to drive the car halfway across the country.

Tamara EI had a 7am reservation. The location opens at 7am. I arrive 2 minutes before and the location was not open. So I waited at 7:10am the associate drives up honking his horn at me. He pulls in right behind where I’m standing and continues to beep his horn. He then sticks his hand out the window to say I’m here. He gets out the car and walks around the side. I see him go in turn on the lights and does some thing on the computer. He didnt say a word to me when he got out so I’m waiting thinking I need to wait for him to get set up . Around 7:15am I knocked on the glass and that’s when he signals for me to come around the building since the entrance is apparently on the side ( nowhere does it say enter through the side as I was standing under the place labeled customer entrance) once I walk in he proceeds to ask me if it’s my first time I reply yes and so he tells me that door doesn’t work only the side door does. My issue was why didn’t you address me once you got out the car a good morning , please follow me around this way or something he saw I was there when he drove up so why not ensure I am properly communicated with. He also had headphones in his ear which is a completely unprofessional way to take care of the customer . At no time did he apologize for his tardiness or lack of communication and the 20 foot truck I rented was defective the lock in the back didn’t work. Overall the customer service at this location was lacking big time . His name started with a M. My 7am pickup time turned into 7:33am all because this employee lacked time management and simple communication skills . Never again!!!
JEAN RIf some moving supplies have been ordered, please make sure that they are there and we are not given the runaround to go pick it up from elsewhere and then we will drop it a second location

Akaria NHonestly, if I had time to go with another company, i would have canceled all of my remaining reservations with U-Haul. I am so apprehensive about the installation and whether or not I will safely make it to Michigan from New Jersey. Worst experience and will never recommend hitch installation at a u-haul.
Debbie CRented a truck for the day and the cashier/manager did not do a physical inspection with me at time of rental. Once I got to my destination I opened up the back to notice it full of cardboard boxes and trash. I called corporate and showed them pictures of trashy area and was informed I would be receiving a discount. Needless to say I didn't receive a discount or rebate of any kind. Also upon returning the truck I told the manager who rented me the truck about my issue. Instead of taking it up with his staff he kinda insinuated that I staged the incident and told me I should he done an inspection before leaving the area. I'll never use that U-Haul or maybe any other U-Haul again. Completely unprofessional on all levels

DaWanda Wthe mirrors were locked so you could not adjusted toward the viehicle. I basically drove a 20 foot truck through Philly with no working mirrors
Adrian RI specifically chose this location because of proximity to what I needed it for AND that it had dollies to rent. I wanted an appliance dolly for a reason and they didn't have any nor did they have any other dollies. I ask if I could use one that was in the front office space and they said no. So based on the customer service interaction I likely would not recommend this location.
GOLDIE LWhen I told the location of my starter issues, they tried to blame me for incorrect gas. (I always put in correct gas according to the instructions, and this issue started before I put any gas in the tank)
LEHMAN Mright side secondary mirror was broken, but the main mirror was still in working state.
Tsotne GUpon renting a U-haul my ramp didn't work. The U-haul was dirty. And the check engine light was on. Dents on the truck..and I've renting from different U-hauls before in the city. This location not quite what i was looking for.

The associates are some of the best. They are professional, courteous, and welcoming. My overall experience here is always one that keeps me coming back.

PATRICIA WI noticed that the mileage indicator was changing after driving 6 blocks in the streets of west Philadelphia, which is short of 1 mile that I was being charged for $1.29/per mile. I returned the truck back to the store the next morning and explained to the representative what I had encountered with that specific truck. I was told by him that it was above his pay grade and that he really wasn't trying to hear this at 7am in the morning. I asked for a manager and was told that he will be in around 8:30am. Came back to the store around 10am and the asst manager was there, so I explained my concern to him. He said that they will look into it and get back to me. As of now 6 days have gone by and no one has contacted me.

ANdrew JThe install guy was great. The problem was that your online system doesn’t communicate with the location well. I made an appointment for 2pm. Showed up and the guys looked at me like I was an idiot because the hitch installer was gone and I should have known to call instead of relying on an online appointment.
Mark GU-Haul, needs to stop advertising 19.99, cause they charged me 41, before I even left there lot, then you get charged for mileage you supposedly went over, seems like false advertising to me, otherwise everything else went smoothly, good customer service in the location

JOHN S1.) quoted 90$ out of location return, 36$ in person. Then I was charged 172$ out of location. 2.) opted out of insurance, charged for it anyway. 3.) rented before Labor Day, no one was open to return. I called and was still charged 40$
