We were given an extra day from the pick up location and it was in the file to not charge us for that day. But with a disregard to the note in the file, the drop off location in Vallejo charged us the extra day. Other than that, they were awesome!!!

Ashley RSolano Ave, Vallejo CA - I've used this location to rent U-Haul equipment in the past. They are badly understaffed for the volume of rentals they handle. Had extensive waiting time both on pickup and return. However, existing staff are friendly and competent, and equipment was in good serviceable condition.

Shelby CIt would be good if all your locations would estimate the amount of gas needed for the rental period. I rented a 26 foot truck and put way too much gas in it at the beginning of the rental because there was probably not enough gas in the tank for a round trip.

I have not had one bad experience here after several visits. Please encourage the employees to keep up the great customer service.
George CThe mobile check in sucks, the amount of time I had to reenter my information. I stood in line anyways and by the time it was my turn it still wasn't working. The gentleman ending up helping me finish the process. He was the only one in there and it was busy he did an outstanding job, communicated to us all in line and very polite.

At times, they (two gentlemen: I think one was named Lewis (?) and the other was a young Latino (?) man - it was a Thursday afternoon) were helping two customers at the same time! Even though the office got a little busy - phones, a long line, lots of questions - they kept their cool, kept things running smoothly and even kept things light with their sense of humor.

Antanea HAll the employees were nice and friendly. I’d use the fast track reservation filled everything out online and when I got to the store, I filled out even more information, taking pictures of my drivers license and a headshot. After all this, it said that they couldn’t take my reservation that way. When I went to the desk, I had to give them all the information again, including credit card number. It just felt very sketchy. I had reserved a van, but when I got there, all the vans were gone. They had to give me a larger 10 foot box truck. They told me that the tank was a quarter full and I need to bring it back at a quarter full. When I got in the tank read 1/8 full. Took a picture and submitted it to the online information. Hopefully I won’t get charged. Also the mileage and in 244. When I drove the car a block it jumped up to 245. I hadn’t even gone a mile. So the ending showed that I had gone a mile further than I actually had. I had only needed it for less than 3 miles. Hopefully U-Haul can fix the automatic check-in or just say they don’t have automatic check-in for this site that would be a lot of help.
Andrew PI did a mobile pickup and the truck that was assigned to me has a broken AC so I had to ask for another truck in their office. Also, there was no dolly in the truck but I was still charged a dolly rental fee online even after requesting to remove the charge.

daniel cThe only reason I did not give a 5 star was due to the drop off mix up. I had booked online for drop off in San Diego. This was mixed up and I was required to haul an empty trailer back almost 500 miles OR pay an over $400 unexpected drop off fee. Perhaps always confirm the drop off verbally with the customer moving forward. This has never happened to me in over 50 years of renting items. BUT overall the customer service and the condition of the trailer was excellent. And the manager of the location worked with me to allow a few extra days without a charge.
