jose aI made a reservation for a 26” truck a month in advance for moving. One hour before moving they informed me that they didn’t have my truck. I had already hired movers and taken the day off from work. They gave me a much smaller truck and it took 2 days! Unexceptionable ! What does a reservation mean? It is the second time that this happened in 2 years. I will not use them again.
Elisa GMy complaint is not with this location, it is how U-Haul rents equipment. I had reserved a 10 foot truck for a one way move. I had a confirmation to pick up at another location and when I called to inquire about coming to get that vehicle they informed me that they did not have one available. I was passed off to 1 800 U-Haul for traffic, and I was directed to the location I picked up at, but was informed that the only one way truck available was a 26 footer. They would rent it to me for the same price but that was the only one available. It does not seem right that you go through the steps of reserving a truck for a pickup at a specific location, have a confirmation number and then be told that you have to to another location and not get what you reserved. This ordeal made the beginning of the move very unsettling and stressful. I believe that corporate needs to improve the way things are done, moving is stressful enough without having to deal with whether the truck you rented with confirmation is available!!

LAURA SI literally only go to U-Haul every single time I'm moving! YESs I have moved a lot but every single time I try to compare prices if UHAUL IS out of the certain size truck that I want I still go back to U-Haul /WHY....Well because Everybody by hundreds of DOLLARS isnt close for a 10' ...in my book Uhaul has always been approved and thats why they've been around so long [duh] and that is why everyone goes to them!!!!! [DuH]

Donnye VAlthough this location had what I needed and they were very professional, I did have to drive to this location. My original location was for a truck just two miles from my house. That was a bit inconvenient to drive to this location. Again, the location for pick up was professional and had what I needed

VALERIA JI 'rental' 2 dozen furniture blankets and when I picked them up, I was not told they must be folded neatly to avoid $25 cleaning fee. When I got the receipt and then called UHAUL customer support, they said that is in the 'online' rental agreement. And that was a long document that I feel when I picked up the blankets, the service person could have said something (and should have).
David CThe experience was very smooth. My reservation had been transfered to another location and they were able to switch it back and get me all set. Probably my best U-Haul experience.
Blake CDidn’t have the size truck that we booked. Customer service is bland. Staff at pick up and drop off locations were both unwelcoming.
Thad DI was asked to drive a truck by one associate that had a warning on dash “check brake system”! When he was notified he asked me “do the brakes work?” Another associate stepped in went looked at the truck then told me he would get me another truck! One was great 1 wasn’t!
DOUGLAS GIt had rained the night before and we didn’t notice all the water at the back of the bed and we put our furniture in, including mattresses and canvas pictures and they all got wet. The truck shouldn’t have leaked like that.
RADIA SStaff was very helpful. Chuck at the West Town location was especially helpful to me. He was very knowledgeable and helped me load my car on the tow dolly. He explained every step and made sure everything was safe. Anytime I’ve used the phone system, whoever I’ve talked to has been so nice and helpful as well. I’ve used U-Haul multiple times in my life and won’t go anywhere else.

JAMES SThe guy who checked me in was AMAZING. So friendly, complimented me for cleaning the truck well. Afterward, he called to say I had left my headphones in the truck, which was so kind! Turns out they weren't mine, which just goes to show that the people in New Orleans where I picked up the truck had not gone through it properly. The difference in the New Orleans location and the Knoxville location are night and day. Props to the Knox crew!!

Justin PI reserved online and chose “pay at store (time of pickup)”. Assuming that signing the paperwork was merely a formality as I had already made my selection. I later found out they slid in safemove charges which I specifically did not choose online. Of course they were unable to remove that once I noticed..
Gregory JPulled loaded trailer 400 miles no problems. Check in and return very easy and quick.
ROBERT PThe rubber links for the safety chains on the dolly were missing resulting in one coming loose and getting chain hook and part of chain ground off, right side tire on dolly was questionable but made it.

MARK CFlexibility with vehicle availability around the area. Vehicle size reserved was not available at pick up, but saw multiple vehicles throughout the Knoxville area that could have met my need. Instead, Uhaul had to provide me with a larger than reserved vehicle.

Matthew RHave a staff trained on a quick check in. Clean the U-Haul. Don’t charge customer $22 when they don’t have a phone charger and have to be on the phone with U-Haul for an hour. Act like they care.

Taylor NBecause they didn’t put back all part belongs to the car. I had to drive all the way to pickup the part he did not install. Technically said could not fit. He didn’t try make it fit. I had looked at YouTube said it could be fit back on. I not sure about comment hitch service next time.
Fred MFuel was considered “1/4 tank” in the contract. Right when I drove it off the lot, the gas light came on. When I returned the truck in FL with the fuel light on, which was the accurate amount, I got charged $75+.
