I made my reservations and got a confirmation for the Clinton Hwy location. I drove there and they did NOT have the trailer I reserved . They said my reservation had been moved to West Town which was another 30 min drive out of my way. NO apology, just "we dont' have those trailers". Very pissed at the staff there. I phoned them and made the reservation with staff there at Clinton Hwy. I'll want to try another company next time, very poor customer service. However, West Town is great, just understaffed, have to wait a long time for them to get off phone to help customers.

Don't charge .69 cents per mile for extended trips on the trucks. How do you expect people that are moving to pay for that? Also, why is there a fee if you do not return it to the same location you got it? On top of all the stress moving takes, you add all of these hidden fees!

Please make sure that ALL employees are trained to answer same questions. I was not told about an additional deposit, even though I was using a card. I was told $100 is cash. Usually, when I use a card, there is no additional deposit. I did this time and it overdrafted my account. Need to be on top of that.

Make sure the equipment is usable and safe...i rented a car hauler and when i got to where my car was at i could not use the car hauler because one of the straps that hold the front tires down was broken

I tried to extend my rental, and was told i could keep the truck one more day, and that i could also pay with a different card than the one on file when i returned the truck. Apparently, there was a miscommunication between the call center and the store, because i arrived back at where the truck was parked the day before itnwas supposedly due back.....to find it being towed with all my stuff inside! They told me the store called, said it was past due, and to tow it. I had to beg them to let me quickly unload my stuff. It was 105 degrees that day, and im 5'4", 110 lbs....it about killed me to heave all my stuff out into the street in under 20 minutes. Then, I kept calling to ask them to PLEASE call me to get my other card info for the final payment, bc the one on file could no longer the cost. I was told they would call me before running my card, but that it could not happen until the truck got back to the lot. I called for 2 days, and no one knew where the truck was. Finally, on the third day, i noticed that the card i had asked them NOT to run..had been charges 435.77, and was overdrawn by as much. I called around until i found the lot where it had been towed (not even in same city as where i picked it up.) They claimed to have no knowledge of the payment request. They did, however, reverse the charge & take my alternate payment. I still have not received the refund in my account, and as a result, i have incurred 5 fees of $36.00, which is the penalty applied each time a charge comes thru. There had been 167 in my account, out of which i had made several debit purchases, but bc they take time to process, they didnt go thru until after that first uhaul charge went thru. I will ask my bank to remove those fees, but if they refuse, i will be calling uhaul to request some type of reimbursement. I use your services frequently (once a month at least), so i want this to be settled to everyones satisfaction. Thanks:)

my responses were customer serviced based. There was a younger man helping me who was very kind but when I went to return the truck the older gentleman working acted as if I was a burden. In fact, he didn't even acknowledge me until I finally asked him if this was where I turned in my rental.

We did have a problem with the truck AC system, which was frustrating, The store owner James Weaver, store manager Kyle, and especially the regional manager Patrick Spencer handled the problem wonderfully. They all get a rating of 15 on a 1 to 10 scale..They all very customer focused and should be commended. Get more people like them and reward them -- they turned a bad experience into one where I strongly recommend UHaul. I also called the customer support phone number and they couldn't do anything to resolve the problem, they had no power to do anything. Rating for the phone customer support is about a 1.
