Takisha FWhen I arrived for my pick-up appointment 5 minutes early, the building was closed and no one was present. After approximately 15 minutes of waiting and getting no answer when I called the number on the window of the building, I called U-Haul directly to figure out why no one was there and why the building was closed. When the gentleman finally arrived, about 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I had already hooked up the trailer to my vehicle myself. I never went inside the building at all. The gentleman who assisted me was polite and professional but he mentioned that he was actually thinking about closing down his facility because there were several other U-Haul rentals within a close proximity.

jose mThe manager/owner of this facility goes over and above expectations for his customers. However, he could do a better job returning text messages, if not phone calls.
Elliot POne of the rear tires was completely blown. There was supposed to be a key under the drivers seat and there wasn’t. We called U-Haul and the numbers provided nobody picked up and there was an hour long wait time for U-Haul. My husband and I were at the location for 30 minutes before someone finally showed up and gave us the right key. And then to top it off the U-Haul leaked and soaked our couch and our bed on the drive to our new location. This was a terrible experience for U-Haul and the pick up location.
Yan NI gave the information about my car. Coming from out of state. After Arrival then I was told what I needed for the trailer. If aware, I could have drove another car.
Marsha RNearly IMPOSSIBLE to find at night. No lights on at location, very small signage, not visible from the highway at night. Drove right past it twice, The UHaul App doesn't work to check in the truck because there is no cell service.
Joseph PThe owner was great. The truck had less than a quarter tank of gas in it. We were given a credit but I was scared I was going to run out of gas.
Melissa AFirst off this location was given to me at the last minute which was 63 miles from my house the truck had the bare minimum of gas i. The truck.. like 3/8 tank of gas in it.... I had movers waiting to move me and this was MUDDY/ dry mud on the inside... my furniture is mud stained from this this will be my last time dealing with U- haul...

Asghar SI returned the trailer Sunday and have still never gotten a return phone call from them. Called everyday multiple times a day. They are absolutely impossible to get in contact with. This isn’t the first time. I’ve tried to rent from there too. There is never a answer or call back when you leave a message.

Amy SThere was no one there. We had to make several calls to get a key, The gas tank was EMPTY and we prayed we could make it to the gas station. The drivers door wouldn't stay closed which caused a safety issue though out the trip. Shocks were bad and there was only 56K miles on the truck, Moving made easier, no.
Cheryl PIssues verifying and giving me the code to get the keys. Sat in the parking lot for for over 30 minutes trying to check in, but there was an issue and it kept giving me an error code saying “there is a problem on our end, please try again in a few minutes.” Nobody on site so I was texting the owner who kept telling me to keep trying the app. He had all my info and I had already paid, I just needed the code to get the keys out of the lockbox. After several requests asking for the code bc the app wasn’t able to check me in, he finally texted me the code. It should not have taken that long. I clearly had the reservation and had done everything I was suppose to do on my end.

MEQURIT SWe originally scheduled a one way rental from Fredericksburg to Drakes Branch. We were called on Thursday and told that the truck would have to be picked up in Front Royal Virginia because it was returned to the wrong place. We were then told that there would be no additional mileage given and that there were no other trucks available within 50 miles of Fredericksburg. We had to cancel the reservation and had to do a “local” move driving all the way to keyesville virginia to pick up a empty truck, drive to Fredericksburg load then drive back to keyesville va. What should have been a one way trip costing us @ 350$ ended up costing us well over 500$. As a prior active duty service member who has used Uhaul services many times before I was appalled and sadly disappointed. The phone center whom I dealt with regarding this move was rude and unpleasant. I will not recommend dealing with the phone center. Had I dealt directly with a Local Uhaul representative I feel I would have had much better service.

DENEICE PI transported one sofa. The drop off location advised, because the inside of the bed truck was dirty I was gonna be charged $25 for cleaning, that was the condition of the truck when received.

Clark BCalled a day before rental to leave a message and never got a return call. Hours of operation are incorrect online, as sign at location says Saturday was by appointment only. Had to do online Truck Return. Every call made on Friday & Saturday goes to voicemail.

Gary MService was crap...I reserved a truck and they didn't have the size I needed so had to get a smaller one and couldn't get all our stuff. We now have to make another trip ..very disappointed ...the guy that works there was very nasty....we were running late and he wouldn't wait he made us do it on line...I will never go to this place again and I dont think I'll use uhaul again...

MICHEAL PTerrible experience. I was promised an express pick-up at Johnson Tire. Even received an email the day before with instructions on how to do the express pickup. Arrived at 7:45 a.m., and then your online service tells me that this is NOT an express location. Local owner is unavailable. Phone inbox is full. Was redirected by TruckShare to Udoit, which was supposed to open at 9:00. We waited there, and they did not show up until 9:30. Fibally got a truck at 9:45 a.m. - two hours later than promised. A MAJOR problem for a move we have been planning for weeks. I will be very reluctant to use Uhaul again.

Eric JReduce cost for car dolly. It was cost prohibitive in addition to truck rental expense and I had to find a friend available and willing the same day to drive my car to where I was relocating.
Terri PThis was one of the worst rental I ever had. No one was present when I showed up. Had a 20 minute wait until I could get my equipment. The truck was not clean in the back. I requested 24 blankets, I was charged for 6 and received 4. I had to get more blankets. The straps on the car dolly were not long enough to strap my jeep down which had stock tires. I had to deflate the tires due to this. I had to have someone locate some spray lube to fix the rackets on the car dolly as they would not work due to rust. The new format of not getting a full tank of gas is crap. Not enough gas to even start a trip and not a great way to estimate the return without over filling which works to the advantage of u-haul. I would not consider u-haul again at this point.

Jane BCheck engine light stayed on from the time we picked the truck up. When I tried to open the hood to check the oil, it fell forward because the right front hinge bolt was missing. I had to catch it to keep it from hitting the ground.
