We booked this uhaul 3 weeks in advance. We arrived and they told us they didn't have a truck for us. I got on the phone with 1-800-uhaul and they had to convince the store manager that one of the trucks he had was in fact a 1 way truck, which was our rental. It was a 2 hour process to get them to let us have it, and we almost missed our movers coming to load the truck. On top of all that, the customer service was very poor. The employees were not helpful and rude. I would never recommend this to a friend.PAUL C.

My selected location could not take drop-off. Went to a second location that looked up a location 18 miles away. Raced in traffic to get there 15 minutes before the close time. Open sign still flashing. Employees would not come to the door. Called customer service and told to leave the trailer, but to go on line and do return. The web would not show my location. We put a deposit down when we got the truck in Arkansas but when we return it back to the one in Decatur THE GENERAL MANAGER at first refuse to give us our deposit back he told us it was not he's problem we did not give him the money we gave it to the people in Arkansas,well don't you guys both work for U haul?It took us over a hour to get our deposit smh I can go on and on about THE GENERAL MANAGER this location is ghetto and rude Me and my Family will never use this location again He Really did stereotype us!!!!!WILLIAM G.

The whole process was out of order. The initial appointment was cancelled, i was sent over 25 miles to a new location that for the same order. However, i was told that they did not have a one way truck for me and i would have to return the truck and would have to pay for miles. Because of this i was not able to use my 1 month free storage fee. I would never advise no one to use this service and I was promised that this would be handled and it still has not.Tawana R.

I like being able to handle the pick up and return of rented trucks online. I like the 24 hour access. However, twice, while I have been returning a truck during nighttime hours, I have been scared or accosted by several different vagrant men wandering between the trucks. I don't know what could be done about it, but thought I'd mention it. Otherwise, everything was fine, and I would recommend and use again.Elaine M.

Y'all need to get your life together. Holding me up for a so called dept of $1.71. That was humiliating and embarrassing especially at this busy location!!! I don't appreciate it at all. It was stupid and uncalled for. Stop someone that owes $171.00 or $1,710 not no damn $1.71. I shoukd humiliate your business by using my platforms! How'd you like that as well as reporting you to BBB and leaving a punlic review on your websites! My pickup location was switched twice to locations that were further away. The first time it was switched, someone called me. The second time, I just received an email. Employees were very nice, helpful, and fast, so I would recommend it, but please clean and maintain trucks. First truck was very dirty inside and had an engine light on and the employee initially said they thought that was the truck where that light always stayed on. (Not in a rude way, just thinking out loud.) They did give me a 2nd truck which was also dirty inside and smelled very strong of marijuana. I've never smoked anything and I have asthma which made this irritating, but I didn't want to go back for a 3rd truck. I'm a time of still dealing with a pandemic, I would feel a lot better knowing the trucks were being cleaned between use.Vickie J.

However they informed us that U-Haul doesn't care that we stuck to the original dates we requested Sat-Mon. That you still give us 5 days and there's no refund for making your equipment available for rental again 3 days early, clean and ready for you to make money off of. When dropping the truck back off we realized we forgot to put the dolly back into the truck. The lady at the counter said we could go back to get it and bring it back or buy it for $75. My husband came out to the car to see what we wanted to do and when he went inside the lady already ran our card for the whole rental plus the $75 for the dolly without waiting on an answer. Her response was, â€œyou walked away so I charged your cardâ€. She said if we want to bring the dolly back they will refund the $75 in 30 business days. She should have waited until we told her what we wanted to do before charging our card.KAYLA C.

My entire experience with Uhaul this weekend was very disappointing except for the dropoff. I was first sent to a private dealer who didn't have any of the equipment that I ordered. I made a separate reservation for a 10' truck, utility dolly, and furniture dolly. When I arrived at the Candler road location, the equipment was not included. I paid extra for another utility dolly and when I opened the back of the truck there was already a dolly inside of it. I'll be calling customer service to get some of my money back. The inside of the truck had dog hair all over the seats and smelled like dog and cigarettes. The gas meter was supposed to be on full but when me and the GM checked over the vehicle it wasn't and he was supposed to update the gas meter but didn't so I got charged 42$ for not filling the meter to full.JAMIKA O.
Never had a bad experience with U-Haul till today. First my order was cancelled . So I set up another pickup. Went to pick it up , and was told I couldn't because the truck was for sale and not rent. So the clerk( she was awesome) referred me to somewhere else to pick up a truck 3 miles away. Went there and someone was already getting the truck. Went back and finally got scheduled to pick up a truck at 1:30!!! My original start time was at 8 am , so you could imagine after all of this my entire move in was thrown off.
