I have always used U-haul for my moving truck rental needs and have always been satisfied, but this experience was unsatisfactory. I had ordered a 20 footer for a local move from the closest provider (4 miles) to the place we were moving from. The day before the move I received a call from that location telling me the 20 footer was not available. I was forced to accept a 26 footer from a provider that was more than 20 miles from the place we were moving from and ever farther from the place we were moving to. The extra miles we had to drive ate of the entire $50 credit that I understand I will be receiving, so the credit does nothing to cure the fact that the truck I had reserved was not available. I should also note that having to get a bigger truck was super inconvenient because it was harder to get into and out of the pickup and drop off locations, not to mention worse gas mileage. To add insult to injury, the truck had less than a quarter of a tank of gas in it when I picked it up causing me to have to put gas in it before we could even begin the move. And, not knowing what kind of gas mileage it would get or exactly how much farther we would have to drive it, I was forced to guess how much gas to put in it. I am sure like most people would do, I over estimated not wanting to run out or have to put gas in it twice. As a result, I donated over a quarter of a tank of gas to you. It is unfair for you to put your customers in that position for a local move. I will say that the two employees I worked with on the phone and at the truck location were very nice. But, at this point, I will think twice before renting from you again.MARK S.

There was no one at the store when I arrived. Thankfully they were able to reschedule my trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I was able to pick up my vehicle. There were no wipers on my vehicle, which was quite unsafe when I hit some Rain on the way back, there really should have been a double check by the staff before the vehicle was lent out.GUNNAR S.
My rental experience at this location was fine - Unfortunately, I rented this truck to help my son with a self delivery for a U-box that was supposed to be delivered on the 9th - it was not and no one can tell us where it is or when it will be delivered, so I had to pay for and return this rental essentially unused. Truck had maint lights on when I picked it up, was told it had been serviced but the lights won't turn offâ€¦ sounds odd. Found the wiper blades tucked up in the dash during a rainstorm and had to install them on the side of a highway to be safe! Brake service light came on. Sunglasses were stolen out of the cab in this sketchy location. I will take ownership that the pass door was left unlocked by accident. That said, if you had semi modern equipment, people would have electronic door locks that would avoid this problem. I also got mismatched furniture dolly's and never got our shrink wrap. Location only had one employee working from 7-11. Pickup took a long time because the line was long. Employee was very efficient but just so many renters. My transaction was super fast because I was checked in. Returning equipment was fine as it was unattended return.Martin E.
The staff did not have a cash counting machine to accommodate a large cash payment, and they also did not do a walk through confirmation of the truck. Both of these caused issues -- the first meant it took over an hour for us to pick up our equipment because we had to count the money multiple times, and the second lead to a fee on the back end because the gas tank we received did not match the amount marked on our original contract. In addition to these problems, the store did not have the 2 queen mattress bags in stock that I had pre-paid for, and they sold me a lock that did not fit the truck we rented, The staff was kind, but the location is understaffed and under-resourced for their duties.ELEANOR S.

I returned my truck after hours. It took them almost a week to return my auto transporter. The site was forwarding their calls to the national hotline. It took 5 phone calls (all of them having about a half hour wait time) ton finally get this equipment checked in. The call center kept telling my they couldn't locate my auto transporter.
