In the order/reservation I specifically asked for an appliance dolly because I was moving french door fridge and a large wall oven combination unit. I arrived and there was a utility dolly specifically after I spoke to the service person and she said there to the other person working to put an appliance dolly in the truck. When I got to the location and opened the truck there was no appliance dolly. We then had to build a ramp down the from steps - time was lost and considerable physical effort. When I called this morning, I was told, "How are we supposed to give you an appliance dolly, when we don't have any?" - Why was I not told that when I arrived at the rental location? That was the time to tell me. Also the cargo lights didn't work and we had to finish the work with a flashlight. Do you actually think after this service, I would go back to haul for any future needs? Then think again; there are certainly options. Not once did anyone say today, I'm sorry for whatever - no appliance dolly, no lights - all defensive and poor customer service. How sad.

NO PARKING?? REALLY?? They wouldn't allow me to park my car at the location while I rented the truck. There must have been 30 open spaces yet they told us we had to park on the side street, and even that had restrictions. That is terrible customer service. I suggest you fix that asap if you want people to continue renting your vehicles. It was insulting to see so many open spaces and yet we had to drive 2 blocks away.

When looking at prices online, make sure the trip will cost the exact number it says it will. Don't let the customer get there, the day they move and charge them $200 more than the advertised price.

Booking an appointment was so painful. I tried to use the website booking process. Booked my time, but then had it arbitrarily moved to a time that wasn't consulted on wasn't convenient. The actual appointment time was behind and the staff were rude. Not great to be honest.

Customer should be able to contact locations without going through U-Haul central, that is totally stupid and unnecessary, I called so many times and most of the time they screwed up location including Baltimore when I'm located in Toronto or parts not in and again you couldn't contact the location, it took me 6 weeks to get a hitch installed. What a pain. Again The guys at Weston Rd where great.

My concern is the charge of $9.03 for EZ fuel sales. The gas level reading was altered by the staff before leaving adjusting it down. The fuel level upon returning was above this level. Photos of both the before and after were sent in reply to the invoice sent on Sunday (yesterday). I have yet to receive a response. Please ensure the $9.03 charge + applicable taxes is removed and the credit card charge is adjusted accordingly. Kind regards, Charles Winder

Service was too slow. I came for pick up on a Saturday 9 am and there's a huge line up already. One person serving and the lady was taking her precious time. I spent almost an hour just for pick up.

You can start by having the correct truck size that was ordered, then you can offer the proper equipment. Upon booking you offer many items which when you get to pick up in the store they do not actually carry. Also customer service needs to be improved overall, everyone wants to blame the call centre in the USA however last time i checked you were all one company.

My list of deficiencies: 1. Once I received the confirmation for the date, location, type of rental, I went to the “Online Express Check In”, what a task that was to log in. The page would not allow me to get to the end, so I was forced to register again. This was no better, since I spent over 15 minutes to register a new account. 2. After 3 or 4 tries to enter the Express Check In, and entering all required information and ID, I finally make it out and though that I would save the time picking up the equipment. What a mistake that was. 3. I need to change the date and time for pick-up, and that proved fertile, so I decided to call in instead, but it was a long wait. I left the date and time as it was. 4. When I get to the location to get the equipment, there were three people ahead of me, and it seemed that there was a lack of employees being able to expedite the number of waiting customers. Needless to say, but I had to wait another 45 minutes before I my turn came up and by then there were an addition 4 customer waiting. 5. Once at the counter the representative starts asking me for all the same information I entered in the express check in, so my question would be, where did I save time using the express check in. 6. My biggest complaint would be that I could not drop of the equipment at a different location and was forced to pay for extra days.

The trailer lighting was not working, we waited to have it repaired. The guy who does the service was very rude, he was make comment about us (the customer), because the end of our connection was corroded, i dont think he enjoys his job, definitely bad manners and poor customer service very rude and uncivil tone. We had to wait for him to repair the trailer wiring too, We WAITED ABOUT 45 MINUTES. However, when we return the trailer it was officially about a hour late and we were charged for an additional day. I will not recommend this uhaul location. I will rate the location O star rating.

Would not consider traffic as the reason for a late arrival, (even after I had called U-Haul and was told not to worry about being late) I was still charged the full fee, ( full afternoon, evening, and part of a morning that they had it back and were able to rent to another customer) They did not include the packing blankets I had reserved and did not have the furniture moving dolly I had reserved. In addition, I was sent to another location to get a dolly and after driving there by going through heavy traffic in a city I do not know, the new location had only a broken dolly which they could not rent out. Hours of my life spent and still paying full price for a trailer that was returned 20 or so hours early.

The after hours return (by mobile phone) was excellent and intuitive to use. We rented a 6x12 trailer for three days. There was a discrepancy between the Sunday return closing hours ...6:30 PM. and actual closing time of 5 PM. It is not possible to call and really connect with Uhaul regarding the late return. No one answers or if they do that dont know and put you back into an endless loop. But fortunately we have some common sense and also some comfort with technology. Over the many years I have used Uhaul...it has really improved its operational procedures...except by phone.

Pathetic... Clean the truck, there was oil and left over things from whatever the truck was used for prior to my move.. Have a truck that is running properly. It had a check engine and ABS lights both constantly flashing. The truck had 1/4 of a gas tank making me have to pull over twice to fill up. I also “donated” about $40 worth of fuel to U-Haul as it made it impossible to estimate the amount of fuel I needed. Add to that the fact that i booked for a whole day and the representative said i needed to have it back by 5pm. Very very disappointed by the entire experience.

I expected to pick up my truck at 355 Weston Rd, where I went to reserve it. No one told me that I could not get the truck at that location until it was almost time for the move. This location, 2753 Weston Rd. was inconvenient to get to. The U-Haul department which scheduled the pickup location was not honest or consistent in what they told me. When I called back to ask for a copy of the conversation recording, they said "Sure", but never sent it. I was quite disappointed in how this pickup turned out, especially considering how long in advance I set it up.

Had a time to pick up truck at Keele St. Truck wasn’t on the lot. Nor did the uhual reps help me get another truck. One of the reps hung up on me and said no location has a truck to rent today. Called back and spoke with someone who was super helpful. Had to drive back to Weston rd and rent a truck. People at Weston rd had attitude. Had headphones stuck in their ear, took personal phone calls in front of me and did I mention they had attitude. FIX YOURSELF UHUAL. I’m super disappointed.

I did not booked this location on the first place, it was at 195 Cartwright Ave, North York, ON M6A 1V5. I was organized with a help customer representative in Spanish, and she suggested me a very convinient location for the day I would move. Two days before I received an email with a very different location (2753 Weston Rd Toronto, ON M9M2R5), I did not how to react, so I called to the place and the only solution they gave me was "Do you want to cancel it"

An obvious mistake! I drove the van 14 miles. I put in about a gallon and a half of fuel before i returned it..I was charged $23 extra for fuel! Reason being?the fuel indicator was read mistakenly. It was marked at 7/8 worth of gas. I was reading that gauge while on the road and it didnt even budge the whole time i was driving . Later i realized it when i returned the van that the indicator was actually pointing to the 3/4 mark of the fuel gauge . I tried to explain and argue but it was not worth the time. Lesson: dont trust anyone. And make sure to check everytime before leaving the yard.

Truck electrical connection to the Tow Dolly was not working, As per agent at the location they can't do anything because it is there closing time, though I reach at 4:00 pm they close at 5:00 pm. they even don't provide me any alternate solution for this, manger was not responsive, I don't know how they are doing there business, worst experience, I should recommend other location 100 time over this, because at lease you get working truck and equipment which doesn't west your time. please don't use this location, I hope not but if you face any issue once you take the keys then you're on your own they will not help!! poor rating also they don't deserve, I want to give in negative for this location (worst) U-Haul at Weston Rd 2753 Weston Rd Toronto, ON M9M2R5

Customer Service employee was excellent, knowledge, and competent. Only concern with this location is the on site parking. You have to park your vehicle on a side street while using your rental. Not a very convenient set up.

Has nothing to do with location, but Please honour your reservation that is made via your toll free reservation line for the location and equipment!! This was different location then my reservation was for, time was wrong and had to fight to get it correct! Accepted a smaller unit then my reservation was for, then arrived and had the right size??? Very frustrating and way more stressful process then it needed to be!!!

The trailer electrical was hooked up by Uhaul employee. When we arrived at the destination it had fallen out and was broken. We drove without trailer lights. Car was wider than trailer so we had no choice but to proceed. Also charged cleaning fee of $15 when trailer was returned in same condition. No explanation was given.

The first person to help me was not very nice. I had asked politely about an issue I had as the location was booked much further away that i was told when booking. She was not very nice, I asked for a manager, she said there was not one there, then got another girl to do the sign in. I later heard someone call her Ms Manager. So not sure whats up with that.

Also when we asked they said to park by the building beside them but that building has signs saying no uhaul parking. They also suggest the side street where says no parking ...

Actually, we would like to thank Shantey, this location U-Haul customer service representative, who was very helpful and professionally met our requirements right the next day after the truck rental. She was knowledgeable and prompt in helping us out with some billing issues happened to us. Great job!

The vehicle clean but there was a strong odor as this someone had just been smoking ??, I suffer with asthma I used a can of airfreshner drove with the windows down, but it was of know help. I won't use uhaul againin the near future.

Over billed us, fortunately I took a photo of the dash and we are profound enough to know the total kilometer read of the vehicle. I strongly suggest that the staff should be careful with the billing.

They were rude and very adamant as to the cleanliness of my reservation. I returned everything in good shape and clean but as per them they think I ate in there and there is a food smell unless I go shampoo the van, they will charge me a cleaning fee for spraying it with febreeze. I did spray the febreeze myself but they still will not listen to anything I had to say so I had to just let the charge go through and file a complaint with customer service.

regular inspection of trailers - beyond simple physical potential damage - i.e. the working parts - need regular inspection and maintenance - eg ratchet straps, couplers need regular lubrication and maintainence.
