Dear U-Haul Customer Relations, During my first U-Haul rental on January 3rd at 7:00 AM at uhaul westview I completed all required steps in advance: downloaded the app, booked my reservation, checked in, and uploaded payment. I arrived on time via Uber and checked in through the app, only to find the location closed with no employee present. This was early morning in the middle of winter, and I was left standing outside in freezing temperatures. I contacted customer service and was eventually transferred to the local manager, who told me the employee was “two red lights away.” By that point, I had already been waiting in the cold for over 40 minutes. I expressed my concern and was offered a $50 refund, which I feel does not adequately compensate for the delay and inconvenience. Please keep in mind the refund hasn't been processed yet. Im still waiting ... This experience was extremely frustrating, especially as a first-time customer. I am requesting that this situation be reviewed and that additional compensation be considered. This is a bit misleading as you all had to send me to three different locations to fill the request. The first location had a 4 x8 in which the left rear light didn't work and they said it was my truck. I went and got a new fuse, replaced it and went back to the U-Haul and it still didn't work. I plugged it into a 5 x8 and it worked and therefore it was the trailer not my truck and I lost about 90 minutes of my day. I think a refund in part is due for the inconvenience. Thank you. Dave

Your app is very frustrating. It doesn't work properly. You have too many advertisements promoting additional products and it doesn't make sense that once I do the online check in ,I need to provide my info in the store. Your company promotes this app, however ,its not easy to navigate.This process is a waste of time,whereas customer service should be the primary thing that should be promoted.

First, they gave away my reservation. Secondly, I ended up having to go to another location where a $20 rental turned into a $105, which I did not appreciate I only had the talk for 4 hours. The 2520 excuse me, the 1995 truck rental supposed to be for 24 hours. I brought it back in 4 hours and got charged a $105. I didn't appreciate that that's not what I was looking for.

The truck I rented was clean. However it does need some mechanical maintenance. Transmission sticks and brakes need servicing. My overall experience was phenomenal

The young man who assisted me was very cordial. This was after having my worst experience with Uhaul at the Capital Heights on Central Av. It was quite an ordeal dealing with a truck that was half full of junk then having to drive 30 additional minutes to pick up a clean turck. Despite that this location made it easier on me. I much appreciate the staff here.

Truck was in pretty good shape, but when I went to tie down an item I noticed that the wooden bar you tie to was broken. Not a big deal as I could use the other side, but could have been a problem if I had had a larger load. I will say that the gentleman that I interfaced with did an excellent job.

Truck motor was under powered or had transmission issues. I only needed fo 15 miles. Got to the facility & spent 30 filling out things online. For some reason I have to do this rather that give the employee my ID to do the transaction. This was annoying & difficult.

The self-service checkout can be a bit arduous. I get that taking photos is a win for everyone, but a handheld scanner for example might be easier for someone. Just point and press. Other than that, the process is efficient. The staff at this location is attentive and knowledgeable.

It took almost two hours to pick up my truck, with a prepaid reservation. The truck they provided had less than a quarter tank which meant I had to stop immediately to fuel it or I would have to stop after it was fully loaded. Definitely not how you want to start days that are inherently long and stressful.

I did not recieve the dolly I purchased and it was never refunded. I was very unhappy with that. I had to pick up at a sight out of my way and return to an entire notger location when a haul sight was 2 blocks away.

It should be stated online that this location you can only reserve online. Also when I dropped the U-Haul off the employee demanded food in order to “help me out to save money “ then I cussed him out I won’t ever use this location again

Its been a while since I've rented a truck and I would say I was slightly frustrated and annoyed by my experience. First and foremost, it took me 30 minutes to get checked in because the agent was busy dealing with other customers (which is annoying because I rented the truck on a Saturday morning and they only had 1 staff member working during the busiest day of the week). Then, I was having issues checking out because these businesses dont feel like dealing with their customers so now they make everyone do the whole check out process on their app. I think there should be a way for the agent to complete checkout on their end if the customer is having issues with the check out process online.

The day I went in to pick up was great (both gentlemen working) Saturday (end of month/labor day) on the return the young man was working by himself. He was absolutely slammed w ppl in a line out the door and he managed it like a champ and even kept a smile and a great attitude. Outstanding customer service. I'm js sorry I didn't get his name bc he was so busy. Monday I'm gonna call his manager to let him know.

The reservation was set to be at the counter but we got an email stating it was changed to the u-haul app, which i was disappointed. But after arriving at the location for pick up, it was a mad house. The counter had about 10 people waiting to be served. So me and wifey went into the app and set up our pick up which toke about 5 minutes once we got the approval! The app allowed us to pick up our vehicle with no need for a customer service rep and take care of our business for today! The no parking for customers is crazy I didnt even realize that until we returned the vehicle and noticed it on the app somewhere. The vehicle was dings and dents everywhere. The oil change notification kept coming on! I have mixed emotions about this location for future rentals!
