I was not told there was an extra charge for not putting in gas as this should have been explicitly stated. There was as much gas in the truck as when I had received. You need to let the customer know about a possible gas fee BEFOREHAND.

DALE WI had the BEST experience with the U-Haul on Williamson. Mr. James was fantastic, incredibly helpful and was working his tukus off. I was so happy with the service I received and would absolutely recommend this location. I have to shout out the location on Hershberger as well b/c I went to that location accidentally and the associate there called around to find out where I was supposed to be. Service at both Roanoke locations was outstanding.

WILLARD NJames runs a great shop! He is friendly, efficient professional and obviously hard-working and it was a pleasure to do business with him. uHaul is lucky (as was I) to have a good man like James running the uHaul operations there at 2618 Williamson in Roanoke VA.

KEVIN WHad to upgrade my reservation to a one size larger trailer at the last minute. They were extremely helpful in making this happen. The larger trailer towed beautifully from Roanoke VA to Myrtle Beach SC. I have had very good experiences with U-haul over the years and always been my first choice for trailer needs.

DAVID BMake sure the tires are fully safe. No cords, no flat spots, no dry rot, that is the main safety of the trailers. Tire on trailer was flat spotted and showed cord

DREMA CQuote I was given was didn’t match what i paid. Ended up $200 more than what i was quoted. Wasn’t pleased by that. Otherwise everything else was ok
BRANDI NDunno. It was about what I expected I guess. The representative took a bit to find us at the counter but I have to assume he was busy tending to the equipment so thats fine, and he didn't take excessively long all things considered. There wasn't really anything wrong, it just wasn't above my expectations.
SEAN HWe have rented from U-Haul for many years and this location is the best by far in terms of both customer service and efficiency. James Stasko does an excellent job and is always reliable and provides top notch customer service. We appreciate his attention to detail and work ethic. Would not even consider using another company.
PERRY PI received the truck with the same exact amount of fuel. Please refer to the photos when i picked it up in Virginia. Extra 25 sucked. Truck smelled and was dirty inside cab and box area.

LEO EI spent almost an hour at this location trying to pick up a trailer I had reserved online and done all the steps through the app. The person at the counter, Mr. James Staska, labelled as the general manager, had to call multiple people due to having trouble getting the trailer that they had attached to the contract. He went through the process multiple times, with the same error occurring. Thankfully, an employee, Rodney, at the location arrived for work and was (within a minute of looking at the screen), able to show him the box he had neglected to click to complete the process. Once this was done, we were set and on our way. I am no sure if Mr. Staska was having a medical issue, was drunk, or just incompetent, but he surely should not be the manager of this location, nor should he be trying to help customers. I was late to an appointment to purchase a vehicle because of this delay. (I would have been at least 30 minutes early if the process of picking up the trailer had gone smoothly.)
Daniel BThe employees were all friendly and helpful, and they didn't try to sell me anything extra that I didn't need. The only thing that I would suggest to improve was that they need a bigger store and parking lot for customers and for their trucks & trailers.
WILLIAM HInstead of checking in my vehicle, the attendant ignored me. She was cleaning windows on another vehicle and talking on her cell phone. Terrible service…she did not acknowledge me until I had to walk up to her and ask her what I needed to do. I have not received email or text confirmation that the vehicle was returned.

DARREN PVery, very poor customer service. Returned truck 3:30 PM on March 1, 2025. Did not get a receipt for days even after several phone calls. When I did receive an email receipt, I got charged too much. Called to try to correct it...no luck
Jonathan BI am not going to pay any of the second transaction made manually on my MasterCard. This is illegal & I am not responsible for the tire going flat & this event caused me to miss my appointment & made me miss my 2 appointments on Saturday. If my payment is not credited to my account I will be going to the police department & file grand larceny charges on U-HAUL TODAY!!!!! MY PHONE # IS 540-355-2394.IM CYNTHIA Quick I will not be responsible for this bill & We want to get our load off that truck asap!!! I called all day Sunday & Monday with no response. This is not my fault!!!

Amy OFacilities were clean and well kept. I rented an auto transport and noticed one of four trailer wheels were showing the tread wear indicator. Trailers handled fine but that tire will need to be replaced.
ROBERT LTruck smelled like pot im highly allergic and general manager was a major jerk towards us when picking up the truck then when returning the truck double payment was charged on my card call them and they kept making excuses to not help me will NEVER use this location again
HOPE SMake sure they can pick up locally and that the truck is clean. We did sweep out the truck twice since this was not checked before pickup.
ronnie bThe gentleman in the office was very rude and unprofessional. Now after w turned the truck back in, they are trying to charge my debit card for $77.97 and that is not my charges and I'm not paying for something that is not mine. I paid everything I was suppose to. The truck was clean and put back with the correct amount of gas like it was suppose to be why am I being charged an ADDITIONAL $77.97? I am not paying it.

TIFFANY MCar trailer strap/rachet mechanism was bent on one side. Made feeding strap in very difficult. Also, made getting the vehicle unstrapped extremely difficult. Took over an hour, causing me to have to return the trailer the next day.
Michael WCorrect boxes were not provided that were purchased with the rental. The Uhaul also had a bit less than half a tank of gas when received.
