Drop off process was excellent. Fast and efficient.
Pick up process was unpleasant. Proof of insurance are unclear. Requirements seem to vary depending on which employee you talk to.
If u-Haul own insurance was affordable, I would not hesitate to pay for it and save the hassle of questioning and arguing with employee regarding my insurances.
But starting at 19$ for a block of 4hours! It is overpriced.

There, someone forced me to take out $20 insurance because he doesn't want to give away the truck, yet in the application we have two choices, yes or no. I don't usually take out insurance and I've never had an accident. I am not satisfied with Uhaul .I really won't go to that address anymore.

We had reserved for a truck at 7:30 am. We received a notification confirming our truck was ready. When we show up their at 7:00 am impossible to pick the truck cause the keys weren't in the lock box. Had to spend 1 hour with customer support to get the information that the keys were indeed not in the lock box and needed to wait until 9:00 for a U-Haul to open to finally get our truck.

Le niveau d'essence inscrit au contrat n'était pas exact. Le réservoir au niveau réel une demie plus n'est pas l'équivalent aux trois quarts. Plusieurs égratignures au camion n'avait pas été identifiées avec un collant X. J'ai dû tout repasser avant mon départ en présence avec la gérante. À mon retour, j'ai dû expliquer l'erreur à l'employé sur place afin d'évier un over billing for the gas.

I tried to reach the manager at least 10 times to discuss the fact I overpaid my locker 1 month before moving out. Yandary was impossible to be reached. I went in person, I called and I emailed. I also left 3 messages with her staff for her to call me. After 3 weeks of trying to reach her I finally did yesterday only to hear that she is not interested in giving me a reimbursement even if I moved out of the locker on august 9th and it was paid until August 25th.
I have rented so many trucks from U-Haul this year and also 2 lockers, all I wanted was a credit or some kind of empathy, all I got was that I was annoying her after trying to reach her for 3 weeks.
I could not be more disappointed in U-Haul, I respected your trucks and your lockers but I'm annoying you if i overpay my locker by 3 weeks ... That's very disrespectful.
This was a huge eye opening experience for me,

Aussi, cette évaluation ne peut pas être envoyée en français car les choix des colonnes 2 et 3 (propreté et recommandation) s'efface en pesant sur le bouton pour soumettre le formulaire.

I was surprised I had to pay for insurance as my personal car insurance covers rentals (FAQ 27) I had to prove it to the u-haul (4949 boul metropolitain, montréal). Naturally I did not have the copy of my insurance contract with me ! And also I asked him if it was ok to have parked my car on the adjacent street (ligneris street) he said ok. But unfornately on Thursday we cannot park from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, i hadn't seen the sign, so I got a $97 ticket ! Besides this i was very satisfied with the rental.

This location was so far out of the downtown that it’s a hassle to get to and back downtown to Montreal. If there were closer places you could drop off, that would be preferred. The location was closed when the drop off happened so I can’t speak for the personnel, but I’m sure they’re lovely and very helpful.

Hi Yandary,
I’m reaching out regarding my storage unit 2132 at Saint-Leaonard which I’ve maintained and paid for over the last 5 years, totaling over $10,000 CAD.
Upon clearing the unit this week, I discovered it was contaminated with mice feces throughout. Many of my stored items — including family memorabilia, clothing, and electronics — had to be disposed of due to contamination. This wasn’t just disappointing; it was deeply upsetting given the sentimental value and cost involved.
I rented this unit under the assumption that basic hygiene and pest control would be maintained. What I encountered was unacceptable. I’m requesting that U-Haul take responsibility for the lack of proper facility maintenance and issue a partial refund to reflect the damages and negligence.
Please escalate this to the appropriate department and get back to me as soon as possible.

Malgré plusieurs échanges avec la personne en charge de l'établissement, vous m'avez chargé le prix d'un 10x15 (150pied carré)pour une unité qui en fait +/- 9x12 avec un coin pris par une colonne. Même si les dimensions se veulent approximatives, elles sont plus proches d'un 10x10. La seule résolution proposée était de redéménager tout mon matériel dans une unité plus petite ce qui était évidemment trop coûteux en temps et en argent.

Due to the road conditions, the exterior mirrors were dangerously dirty. I had to clean them with handfuls of snow. Otherwise vehicle & service were ok.
On an aside, we reserved the vehicle on line the day before, we had a screenshot of the reservation, we did not receive an e-mail confirmation so fortunately we could still obtain a truck on the day of the move. The system had no record of our request.

After I went through the all verification process (including a second reference name), there was NO KEYS in the box.
Took me 2 hours on the phone, to finally find out there was no keys in all the boxes
And Uhaul is charging me for the rental, on top of it

The lady who serves me the last time was so rude to us. We return the car later than expected but we did notify the customer service who update our reservation accordingly. She took care of me jun 2022 I was desperate to find a storage space during high peek moving season
She reassured me she would find me a room and she did .
She as took the time to help me with a disagreements I have with U-haul for charging me a full month when I moved out .
I purchased a new condo and only found out 2 weeks prior to the moving date Oct 15th and u-haul locked me in until Nov 11th
I feel it was injust and Micheline reassured me once again she would help me

Madame Beauregard était excellente. Au début l’éclairage n’était pas adéquat. Il s’éteignait au bout d’une demi heure dans le corridor, ce qui fait qu’on ne pouvait pas voir ce qu’on voulait entreposer ou retirer. Je crois que la durée d’éclairage s’est améliorée dernièrement. J’ai toujours été incapable d’ouvrir le cadenas. Il fallait que je sois accompagnée d’un homme pour l’ouvrir.Aussi, je ne me sentais pas en sécurité dans les longs corridors. I would have rated my experience higher as the general facilities outside my storage unit were clean and access was easy. The problem was INSIDE my storage unit WHERE I DISCOVER A DEAD, DRIED-UP MOUSE AND MOUSE DROPPINGS EVERYWHERE! ...AND I had to sweep it up in order to hand over the storage unit clean. Leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Mice invasion damaged my belongings and I ended up throwing most of them along with cleaning them still today as I am writing this review. The very reason why I rented out a storage was because I was away and wanted to avoid repurchasing new stuffs once I came back but looks like I need to buy replacements after all, what a waste.
The online payment system always crashes so it is really unreliable. Also there was a rent increase which I was not informed of.

J'ai loué l'entrepôt un 16 du mois et j'ai été surpris de devoir payer le 15 du mois. Heureusement que j'ai pris mes précautions et que je payer toujours le 15 du mois. Vos avis disciplinaire font peur, comme la confiscation du véhicule si on a le malheur de stocker des gallons de peinture. Il faut faire attention.

My wife and I as anglophone Ontarians entering Quebec to live in the province for the very first time we were warned ahead of time that Quebeckers are not very friendly to non-French speaking people. Our experience at UHaul De Saint Leonard proves that theory to be total nonsense. Courteous, professional and most helpful service was provided by all who were there. Great job and Merci Beaucoup!

The manager, Micheline Beauregard, helped me in a moment of crisis when a rude and abusive mover left my things outside of my storage. She spoke with the police on my behalf and learned more about this mover and had him banned from all U-Haul facilities to protect those who use the facilities. She also checked the video footage of this mover to confirm that he stole two items of furniture from my belongings. After I spoke with the police, the mover eventually came back and returned my two items to avoid arrest. Staff who came later came to see if I needed assistance as well. Excellent staff, very kind, friendly, and professional. I would recommend this facility to anyone.
