I booked the Uhaul at 7am as I needed it early in the morning, I was informed the 24 hours service would be available and I could do all from my cellphone, and the thinsg that I rented with the truck would be available inside it. But when I went there to grab it, the things I had booked with the uhaul was not inside the truck and I was informed I would need to wait until they open to get my things (such a frustration totally avoidable), by the end they also try to charge me for the things they haven`t offered by the time I took the truck.Diego Roberto C.

Rented a truck, the driver seat did not adjust up or down, I had to sit on clothes in order to see over the dash. The most uncomfortable drive I have ever had. The heat did not work at first, and the headlights didn't work either. Had to drive with my high beams on the whole time in the dark. The agent I dealt with in this location was terrible and had the worse customer service over the phone. Not willing to listen and understand what a customer problems and concerns are and ontop of that, they charged me hidden fees that where not communicated clearly and they charged my credit card twice. Clean your trailer. I noted how dirty the trailer was prior to removing from the U haul lot. I was thinking that most of the dirt was permanent markings. Upon loading I found that the dirt was oily scum. I had to rap items in plastic to prevent staining. I called the rental location and they attempted to find me another trailer. They were successful but it was too far away for the timeline I was working with. I stayed with trailer and returned it early due to its dirty condition.Andrew C.

When I got there, the vehicle i was to use was being used by someone else. The woman who "helped" me was extremely rude. Got another cargo van, but they didn't even bother to take the $19.99 huge cardboard window thing out. And $68 fir an hour and 48 km is disgusting. Could have hired someone for that. A little better knowledge required for wiring as he couldn't do the wiring after hitch was installed as he was a little intimidated by the finished interior of the old van. I took it to my son-in-law( mechanic) on the way home and had it done in about 3/4 hour. Very nice guy that did install and I understood his hesitation but my son in law just popped the buttons, unscrews it and did the wiring. A bit tricky as everything was done from behind taillights, both sides and if you had lens cover off it created a false short so just needed more knowledge. Great job on hitch installjeffrey W.

I did a reservation for a van and when I got to the location it was there, I had to take a truck which resulted in having to make more than one trip and more kms, I have a brain injury and so even having to tie things down is too hard for me to remember I just wanted a van, I took a appliance dolly with me and the next morning I dropped off the dolly as I only had light stuff left to move that I couldn't move in the truck, as it wasn't right for the task at hand. When I returned the dolly(went inside and gave them my contract ), told them I needed the truck for 1 more day as I am couldn't get it moved because of my brain and went back out to the U-Haul truck, I got berated by the customer service rep as he said I had to have it back that morning no ifs ands or buts and I told him this truck is not what I ordered and they should not be like that..HE ordered me back in side and ingot mad as I had to go move my stuff and yes I yelled as my brain was at capacity and couldn't deal with him, I asked to see a manager, he took the keys and I lost all my stuff today ... On 3 different occasions in 3 different years, there have been problems with the computer system causing long waiting periods. The location on 50th Street in Edmonton desperately needs more staff inside as I have been there at different times at people have stood almost 5-10 deep waiting as there were only 2 available, one doing only truck pickups. I was late with a payment and phoned beforehand to make a payment arrangment.My unit for storage was 135$ a month. I was charged 50 lien fee a 50 pre lien fee and 2 /10$ late charges and a 15 dollar late charge. 135 in late fees. Absolutely ridiculous. I used to use Uhaul quite often. I will never frequent this buisness again. I have found a unit with another company that is 3x the size for the same price. I set up my unit in person while I was renting the trailer I was using to move. The front desk attendant took my credit card, and I asked if the payments would be automatic. She assured me that they would. My first month's hadn't come out and when I called I was told was told the first month was overdue because there was no automatic credit card on file. I asked them to make a payment and set me up for automatic payment. My second month was also late and when I called, the attendant told me that it was because no one activated it on the account. Since then, I have paid for a facility where food and items were left in the hallway, and the alarm seemed to always be going off when I got there. When I asked if I set the alarm off, the attendant said that no, I hadn't, and that it just goes off every time something happens. Which appears to be 6 times an hour during busy time. I came in to check into my unit about 25 mins before closing. I was trying to get there earlier but this move has been very challenging. Robyn helped me and was amazing. She helped me make sure I had the right unit that worked for me and easily able to move in. She even directed me to McDonald's while I waited for my brother to show with the truck because I hadn't eaten all day. When I went to eat I saw a reflection of myself in a window and I was an aweful disheveled mess. Yet when I was checking into unit Robyn still treated me great. Latch on door was bent and very hard to open and close. Staff were aware but never fixed it. Only issue with staff was when I moved out I was driving a large truck and when I went in to close account I didn't realize I had parked in front of disabled parking. I made a reservation at the facility in 154th street, on arriving there, I was redirected to 50th street without letting me know the prices are not the same. I arrived at the facility (50th street Edmonton) the first sets of staffs were helpful, after storing my items, I went and gave the keys to the front desk, she insisted i return it under the blue canopy, of which i did and went back inside. I gave her the keys but she refused to collect it , she said I didnt park the truck under the blue canopy, that I parked outside the facility, I explained that was another dark skinned guy that she should collect the keys and verify , she insisted and told me she would loose it if she found out I was lying, she eventually checked and saw my Truck parked under the blue canopy but she didn’t acknowledged her mistake or apologized for threatening and calling a customer a liar. After I paid for the insurance and everything and I seen the damages where the wreck was done but nothing was done or said about it and the employee ended up with a raise! TERRIBLE SERVICE. wouldn't recommend or want to use this service myself ever again. All personnel from the in-store staff to customer service seem very incompetent at their job. Some of the most clueless people I've ever talk to. First they send me a notification that I had checked out of my storage unit when I wasn't even in town and still had 2 more weeks left. I called them several times but no response, eventually I had to drive 3hrs back to town to make sure all my belongings were still there. When I got there they told me my locker was broken into and was empty so they replaced the lock on it. They went looking for the keys but 20mins later couldn't find them. The staff I was dealing with didn't look very intelligent so I lost confidence in them and took it upon myself to walk to the locker and have a look myself, sure enough my key worked and all my belongings were still there. Then 2 weeks later I was moving my stuff out and had made a reservation for a truck a month ahead of time, the day before my truck rental I received a call and I was told the truck I had made the reservation for wasn't available and I'll need to drive 60km out of town to pick one up. I didn't have a choice so I went to pick up the truck, but when I went to return the truck to the location I had picked online, I found out that they had also changed the drop off location to a place 40km away from the location I had reserved online. Called customer service several times to resolve this issue and every time I called I came across someone with their age higher than their IQ. One of the worst services out there that shouldn't be allowed to exist. I was told I had moved out when all my belongings were still at the unit. I was out of town at the moment. When I found out I had supposedly checked out I called the office but nobody picked up the phone for 6 straight calls. Then I made the trip down there and went to see it in person, there they told me my locker was empty and I had checked out. They couldn't find my info in the system.
