Waited in line for an hour to pick up a reserved truck! Finally get truck but it's blocked in by another truck??? Same thing happened to the lady in front of us! Guy at desk while friendly had no idea of where trucks where and that they were blocked into our rental unitsâ€¦.Had to get another uhaul staff member very nice friendly young fellow to move the truck??? So am hour of moving time wasted getting truck on the roadâ€¦ yet I'm supposed to have it from 9-5 but it was 10-5â€¦ do I get re-imbursed for my time and the person giving me a ride??? I do not appreciate having to provide a reference that is then called before being allowed the privilege of using your services. Perhaps requiring a reference once (to certify the account) would be a better and less invasive procedure. I stood around waiting a lot for someone to help while others that worked at the location stood around watching me wait. So, I unhitched the trailer and left in in the trailer middle of the drop off canopy. Picking up the trailer was better experience as the staff flipped the ball hitch around on the bar after I mentioned that it the seemed trailer tongue seem to be really close to the ground.Michael C.

When I originally picked up truck was fantastic! Lady that helped me was wonderful! I returned truck after hours and had credit coming back to me. When I went there to get credit owning to me, during business hours, there was only one person working 7 people in line ahead of me. Waiting 15 minutes and line up didn't even move. I got a van that had 9/16 fuel , so this means I need to try and fill it back to that or I get over charged by uhaul for fuel. So this mean I pay too much for fuel and over fill the tank so I feel I am getting ripped off. The tank should have been full and make it easy for me to fuel without waisting money. I will not be renting a van or truck again. It was dirty on the inside as well. I am very disappointed.Adam K.

There are a lot of marks/scratches that was not marked properly, so I suggest that checking together with a staff before turnover must be done which is your SOP before, COVID might change this procedure but just for the best for both parties.Louie C.

I have used UHaul many times however this time was disappointing. I reserved a dolly for my move and they did not have one available when I checked in or at all. They did not provide any straps and did not help me with my blankets. The sales associate directed me to the wrong side of the lot to get my truck. They were not helpful at all and the overall customer service was underwhelming. I checked in late and had to pay for an entire day extra. They website to check in after hours was not working and I had to call customer service to help be. Not a happy customer!!!Tina D.

I made the reservation 6 weeks in advance but when I got there none of the equipment I rented was in the truck. My girlfriend called the morning of our pickup to confirm the order and the staff member she spoke with told her it was all in the truck. Uhaul kept changing my pickup location away from my desired location without my consent. When I called in to make changes to my order or too correct these unauthorized changes, staff members were hostile and condescending. There is nothing that will improve you service enough for me to use it again, I would be willing to pay whatever the difference is from now on to never use Uhaul again.Samuel R.

The truck ramp was full of mud, we had to wash it as it was slippery. The location was far, adding KM's when I originally requested the south location (moved after booking) the customer service was very poor. I was treated very bad when dropping off the truck, scolded for parking in the wrong spot even when an employee told me to park there earlier. I waited over 15 min to get the key even though i did the â€œskip the line, on-line pick upâ€. Overall the truck helped get the move done but I will rent a truck somewhere else if needed again.Johanna S.

Excessively long waits for staff assistance, there were always large uhaul trucks parked in the way of the “drive up storage locker” and would have to go inside and request them to move the truck, and there was mouse poop all over the floor of the unit with no barriers to prevent mice from getting in. I had made online reservations, and for some reason the associate could not find them. I had to go through the whole initiation again with her. I also signed up online for the free lock promotion, but they didn’t have any in stock so I had to purchase a lock. The hold ups and disorganization is a typical experience at this location. When my friends had rented an indoor unit a few months back, we had about an hour of wasted time trying to deal with the swipe card not working for the facility, having to return in and out of the store to get help from an associate as nobody was willing to come outside to help deal with the problem, and the alarms going off constantly. Everthing was good except when the uhaul people in Calgary confirmed our 10 by 15 storage unit for us for 215 then when we got to Edmonton and they said we had no reservation for a storage unit so we had to take a 10 by 18. But it was 240. So we said okay we had no choice cause there wasn't any 10 by 15 left. My only concern relates to your practice of charging for the month. In my case I vacated the storage locker prior to the end of the prepaid month. I expected a partial refund of my monthly payment. I was advised that would not be the case. I am sure U Haul will rent this unit to another client and collect twice for the same time period.
