Had a woman who was brand new a I believe she required more training before letting her on her own. As i was stanging in line noticed she was a struggling with each order from each customer. I waitied in line for 20 minutes. There was six of us in line and 3 agents.

Make your reservations site say that there will be taxes and other charges added on when picking up the rentals. It's very misleading on the actual price??

Very disappointed. Only 1 person working, stood in line for over 45 minutes- finally got the truck but because we were rushing to get back to the house where people were sitting waiting to help us move we didn’t mention that the fuel tank wasn’t full. We only drove the truck about 7-8 miles and ended up having to spend much more $ in gas because we had to fill the tank to full even though it was under full when we got it. We tried to mention this to the workers and they would not work with us to take some money off the price. Not happy with my experience and will not recommend this uhaul location to others or use this location again.

I received a text link to images so that I could verify all damaged is marked with an X decal or add new photos for unmarked damage. I clicked on the link as soon as I received it and the link said it had expired. I didn't need the link because I did not identify damage but I thought if I or others would need it, it should be working.

Not a thing. When I dropped off the trailer, the lady I worked with was excellent. That goes the same with the young gentleman when I dropped the truck off with. Perfect. The lady was bragging about how great U-Haul was and I could tell how much she enjoyed her job. I have not seen that in a long time. Plus most people her youth is not great full for anything . You better not lose her. She is the backbone of that branch in Glendale Arizona.

customer service was awful. No one greeted us when we came in. Upon returning vehicle no one greeted us again or asked us what we needed. Then told us we were in the wrong spot and sent us around out back where again we were left waiting for 10 minutes, wondering what we were supposed to do or if we were even in the right spot. Had to go back in the store again where they helped someone else before us.... just bad customer service and employees should not assume everyone knows what to do and where to go upon returning the vehicle. Thank you.

New GM at this site. I got the opportunity to sit while they installed my hitch and wiring, and listen. Very impressive. New leader is motivated and proud of his shop and it shows. Every contract was positive. I heard him address any complaints that had come in online over night and discuss with his staff. Each was addressed as legitimate. Great job on my installation.

Ok, you asked for it! When I first stopped to return my trailer rental and get my storage room they (Glendale location) could not find my reservation which was done via the web 2 weeks earlier. Got that straightened out, then 3 weeks later went to utilize the U-box I ha reserved (again online) and that day the gal (service person) obviously had a bad day because another customer had been waiting 2 hours to deliver a U-box they were contracted to haul and the service gal was complaining to ghem that she was stressed out from working too much overtime there. Got my U-box loaded and spoke to a young man at the counter to tell him it was ready to ship. He said "ok, but we cannot give you a receipt right now because our printer is down, but we will e-mail you the receipt." I was leaving town the next day, so said ok and left. Well a week goes by and no receipt, so I tried to call them. Could NEVER talk directly to anyone at the location- ALWAYS had the call transferred to a call center. The call center would take my info and told me they would have someone at the location call me back. NEVER got a call despite going through this process several times over the next 2 weeks during our cross country travel. Eventually our "guaranteed delivery date" passes and we have still have not been notified that our U-box had arrived at the destination. Called the call center and started a process of trying to locate my U-box, took about a week of calling back and forth to learn my U-box had never left the Glendale location. Also was told that the management had changed at that location recently. Finally almost 4 weeks after original "guaranteed delivery date" my box arrived! So to say I am not completely happy with my experience is putting it mildly... NOT sure if I ever will use U-haul again...

I had checked in online and arrived at 7:15 and had to wait in line for an hour with one person working behind the counter. The importance of checking in online should be stressed more to everyone. There should be a separate line for those who checked in online or more staff working to check people in. I also received a text link to evaluate the condition of the truck and it was the completely wrong truck.

The cons: I spoke with 4 employees who were rude enough to deserve some street justice. I spoke with one young man who was very polite but didn’t know enough about his job duties to be of much assistance. And I spoke with a manger, Dawn, who basically cleans up the messes that her terrible employees create for the company. I could go on and on about the details, but I’ll save you the time. I will not use, nor recommend, this location for moving needs. Moving is stressful enough without interference from incapable, rude, and worthless employees. The pros: The trucks were well maintained with no issues. More importantly, Dawn, the manager, saved the move. She smoothed out the issues for me and avoided the catastrophe of dealing with the morons behind the counter. Dawn, I hope you see this review. Your skills and abilities should land you a much better gig than cleaning up other people’s messes. Don’t hold yourself back! Also, your beauty, compassion, and professionalism makes me want to cook you your favorite meal by candlelight.

I booked online so my visit was , even the slightest bit, easier/quicker; I still didn't get my truck till 45 min after the scheduled pickup time. Their online 27/7 share didn't save/forward my info to the pickup store. The sight said I could pick up at one store and drop at another, not the case according to the lady checking me out, so my out of pocket doubled. Then, that lady had an issue with the computers the entire time, trying to get my info to save while blaming new management. The milage on the truck was different from my paperwork but I didn't want to wait any longer then I already did because they still wanted the truck back at the expected time tho they cut into my time. Horrible experience!

We rent two 26’ trucks. One was in great shape but the other was very old and ran rough. It got the job done but was very dirty (in the cab) and warn. I also wished the dolly was not pre loaded in the back of the uhaul, as I had to break the zip tie in order to load more of our items. It wasn’t used but I was still charged the free for breaking the tie.

when I showed at store by appt. to pick up the trailer there was one person working he was doing his best but One guy can only do so much it waited about 1 hour to get trailer. When he was hooking trailer up the so called manager came out of the back she could have been helping or called in more help. I have used this location four years 4 to 6 time a year and I never seen customer service be so bad. The reviews on line are 100% true new manager does not have the no how to manage your store. I will be looking for a new location till something change . Good luck

When making my appointment< I told the representative I need a tow package for travel trailer - Hitch, 7pin receiver, electric brake control. Went and had the install done. Ended up with four pin plug and no brake. I can pull a utility trailer with that.They need to educate the people on the other end of the phone about the product they are selling. Will buy the control online and do it myself.

Make sure the trucks don's smell so strong of cigarette smoke. It was really bad actually. And the wait to get the truck and drop it off was really long. I waited a solid 20 minutes for pick up, and over 40 minutes to drop off. I finally just gave the girl at the desk my key and contract and said to send me the bill. She was very nice and apologetic. SEVERELY understaffed for the number of services that UHaul is attempting to provide now.

We received an auto trailer that didn’t make it to Florida from Arizona without two separate blow outs. I recommend checking your trailer tires before a long haul. Also our emergency break chain was broken for the auto trailer but they rigged something up for our move. We did receive a brand new 26’ uhaul which was amazing.

I will never use or recommend UHaul again after 14 years of using UHaul. You nickel and dime to death. Check in process is lengthy and even invasive. Not only asking for 2 emergency contacts. But calling them up as I was standing there. The truck has electrical problems and it costed me $401.11 with gas in total to use it for several hours. No thanks... I’ll take my business elsewhere after an awful ball busting experience.

I had to move furniture to 3 locations and drove almost 300 miles and the 20 foot truck I rented was reliable and amazingly gas efficient. The Uhaul staff were fast and professional as well as helpful. 5 star!

Your website does not clearly state when payments were going to be taken out of my account. Yes, there was a contract, but I was under the impression we pay when the box arrived based on your website. Box got delivered to my house, and surprise you owe money. Fine I paid. They forklift driver then tells me fund will be taken out of my acct. Upto 5 days prior to delivery. I asked her what I'm not going to have them until delivery. She it's ok, the box will get delivered. I arrived at my location and so did the box, and I spoke to nicole. I made my payment, and then she tells me I have to hire professional movers if I want the box delivered to my location. 400 plus in charges. I advised her the that my home should be in a delivery location, and she said sorry. I then told her I need to make arrangements and I have an email about getting a free month I'd like to use. She said she would talk to her manager, and I would here back in 24 hrs. I did not here back. I then raced down to the box location in Litchfield az, not the location I was initially told my box would be (anthem, az) and got some stuff out, and spoke to workers who told me the box can be delivered. A gentleman there said it needed to be moved to bell and 67thave. I asked him to put that transfer in immediately. I then called your customer service line again. I asked about the free month and advised of what happened . I was then charge for the month, and a late fee, but didn't pay it. She told me she would resolve the issue, and get the box transferred and credit my acct with manager approval for the free month. She told me she would call me back at the end of the day, or the next morning. I waited, to here back, meanwhile the money was taken out of my acct, and the box was never moved. Finally I called and demanded the box be moved immediately to their 67th Avenue and bell site in Phoenix. It's a miracle something you said you were going to do happened. I schedule delivery and got it in 2 days. I was receiving calls to have to box picked up. The messages said I need to give verbal ok. I last Tues the 10th at 1:30my lunch hour told them to get the box. They said they would be here Thursday. I get home and the box is gone. I talked to my father in law he says you guys were here at noon on Tuesday. These are terrible and shoty business practices and an awful experience. I won't ever use your services again, and for recommendation I'm instructing what my experience was, and to use someone else.

The people here scored A++++. I went into the location because I was on hold for 45 minutes by phone trying to make a reservation. But when I got to the location, they acted like I was the most important person in the world. I truly enjoyed the experience with the workers here. Thank you! I will definitely go back here when I need to rent another UHaul vehicle.

The truck eas supposed to.be new...NOT 150,000. One of the headlights fell out someplace around alberque new Mexico.. so no night drving, which cost us extra hotel and lost tome overall. At some point the horn fell off and was dangling..there appears to be some sort of fluid tube sticking out of a wheel well. The trailer evidently wasnt attached well.. as we returned to a location that couldnt tske us noticed that the trailer was un hitched and we were pullit it by chains only... good thing we didnt kill anyone. Brakes were squelling wildly.. and a perodic smell of burning electrical in the cab.. will never ever use uhaul again... i will be sharing my expirence on social media.. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

The trailer that I used was absolutely brand new everything worked great the only thing that I was concerned with if somebody rents a storage unit like the one off of 67th Ave. and Bell Road as far as a storage locker if you will you make it kind of difficult for people to get their items from the ground floor to the second story there should’ve been some kind of an elevator that people could use to bring the stuff upstairs on cards and roll it to the rented unit

Understaffed at the time of pickup. The 15 ft. truck was a champ, though. Nearly 2400 miles over decaying U.S. infrastructure, and she handled it without incident. Note, the 15 ft. cab does NOT seat 3, despite what is advertised. It did fit two adults and a cat for our trip.

Get the 24/7 pick up situation fixed. I was sent a lock box number that doesn’t exist, and a password combo for the lock that was different from what was sent to the site. After wandering around a dark building for 15 min looking for another area for boxes because I thought I was in the wrong spot (no photo) I noticed the staff was in at the counter counting out. They had a service door open so I asked for assistance locating the box. I was given Box 8. They had 1-3 and my keys were in Box1 per the info they received. The gal told me to put the combo in the lock that I received in my email. When it didn’t work, she asked to see my contact and then entered the combo they were sent. Grateful for her customer service after hours, frustrating to know if I had been a few minutes later I would have been stuck.

The truck mileage was entered incorrectly on PU. When I turned in the truck after having it for less than 8 hours and spending 6 hours loading it, they tried to charge me for a couple of hundred miles. Actual mileage less than 20. The person in charge said I should have photographed the odometer before I left. WHO DOES THAT? In the person's defense, she said she would let it go this time but... Who Rents and loads a 26 ft truck then drives it over 200 miles in less than 7 hours.

We reserved a 17 foot truck. When we went to pick it up they said that they only had a 15 foot truck. In the end the size of the truck did not effect the actual move, but I think if you are not going to follow through with the original reservation then you should notify that person, or give some sort of coupon/discount. Otherwise the service was good.

Give them the correct information like you stated you would. Not make people drive 30 miles out of their way because you have no communication. Not waste peoples money and time and add on extra charges that were never discussed.

WE completed the mobile application rental process and was told via the app to ‘skip the line!’ And go pick up the key. The person at the key counter asked ‘who is next in line’, rather than ask if someone is there to pick up a key. We ended up in line for the next 15 mins or so. Once someone helped us, we were told that the key was missing, so the whole rental process began again. We were then told that someone will come out to take pictures, which again did not happen. We went inside to ask what’s going on, and only about 35 mins after arriving did we actually leave with a truck. Will likely not come back.

Manager butted into a conversation with questions that already been answered in a previous conversation I had with gentleman at the counter. When i tried to let her know her help wasn’t needed, she developed an attitude. I felt she had no confidence in her employee and later told the gentleman. He did an excellent job. There was a lot of play in the steering and the brakes on the truck squeaked - told gentleman at return. I felt the time frame to return the truck was lengthy.

The agent said the gas was at one notch above 3/4 but when I got into the truck it was perfectly on 3/4 not above as stated. I took at picture since the agent was alone in the store and with another customer at the time and the truck was running. The gas calculations should be more accurate at the time of pick up. The receiving agent did not charge me extra since I showed her the pic but it was very annoying to have to deal with this. I used your chart which said to fill with 2 gallons but I actually put 3 gallons into the truck to make sure I had filled it enough. Either fill the truck all of the way up or verify with the customer the gas before they leave! Other than this, the rental went well.

when you reserve a truck a month in advance and call and double check on it 2 days before reservation and one day before and then the day we arrive no truck available.. This is fraud plain and simple .. Do not take reservations if it means nothing and you don't have truck available..

They canceled my order after I had just made it 45 min prior. They didn’t have the truck at the location. Closest to me so I had to drive further and rack up more mileage. The girl that helped me has no personality. Should work on customer service. She didn’t even once go over check in and when I asked she pointed to the box and said over there is where you return keys... okay, thanks..? And then when I returned because I wasn’t told the process I didn’t complete all the steps on returning the truck which I found out at midnight standing in the parking lot at U-Haul. Worst customer service. Couldn’t get my reservation correct was way to difficult after it had been canceled then second round having to call a number to Locate a truck.. literally made two reservations within a hour cause they messed up. Never would return to U-Haul and lll share with my clients etc how this company and their employees (except the woman at customer service number that helped me at midnight) failed for me. Overall disappointing won’t return.

A sign at the North entrance would have directed me to travel around the building so that I could enter from the South.

The location itself was great. Unfortunately when I went to pick up my truck, it was not where it was supposed to be. I used the “use your phone to pick up anytime” option. It was 0700 on a Sunday morning. I arrived at 6:55am. The truck was not where the app told me it was. I finally found it behind the back of the building. Had a hard time so I called “Jesse” who was supposed to be the 24-hr on call guy. Never answered. Then it took almost 30 minutes for my application to be “approved”! Even tho I submitted all of my information and driver license weeks ago, I still had to wait. 4 calls later to Jesse and still no response. Finally at 0730am the U-Haul app rep “approved” my application and I was able to unlock my truck. There were several things in the truck that I did not order. However, once I returned the truck, the guys on location were wonderful to deal with. So all in all, everything worked out. Except for “Jesse” the on call 24 hr guy (who I never heard back from) and the rep taking forever to give me the combo for the truck.

I wish there were more questions to this review because I like a lot about this location. The truck was very clean and the other two employees I worked with were great but I definitely would not recommend this location to anyone because of the chance they might be helped by Coty, well you couldn't really call it being helped. She is the rudest person I've felt with in customer service. She was ride and offensive and I was so thankful there was another woman there to help me. I wish I remembered her name because she needs a raise. I'm sure she spends her entire shift putting out fires that were started by that Coty girl. I will be recommending the location on Glendale Ave and 48th Ave from now on.

staff was nice on both check out and check in of trailer. Phone was handled well and I was given all of the info that I needed. The car hauler trailer, seemed to be designed poorly, at least the fenders and lights. The lights were not attached well, rivets into plastic and the staff said there were constant issues with them.

We were charged for the rental dolly and furniture pads and we did not use them. We also returned the truck on April 6th and turned the keys in to a guy at the desk and he said we didn’t need to do anything else. We get a call two days in a row on April 9 and then April 10th asking where the truck was at and we had spoken to someone on April 9th and then we finally get this outrageous bill that is wrong. I want to follow up with someone that knows what is going on 480-740-5096. My credit card has been charged in addition to receiving this inaccurate bill. We will never do business with uhaul again after this

This experience was much better than the last time at a Mesa, AZ location on August 30, 2013. Reserved a 10 foot truck two weeks in advance and when I arrived At 8:00 AM they did not have it. While I am chatting with the employee I was called by another location 9 miles away that they had my truck. I asked why reserve a truck when they wouldn't have it on the day of the move. NO ANSWER!

Make sure when you reserve a storage unit that they give you a receipt even when they tell say you don’t need it. When I went to pick up my uhaul they said there was no storage under my name. Also make sure you talk to someone who has knowledge about the company and their rules because I was told five different things about the first month storage payment. They are under staffed and it took thirty minutes to get my truck that I reserved for. Horrible moving experience.

The equipment was not ready for our reservation time, because it needed new tires. We had to wait an hour and a half. Check your equipment ahead of time. The employees were extremely busy and waited on multiple customers at a time, so no one got prompt service. We reserved 12 blankets. They were not in the trailer when we got home. We were in the middle of a very stressful move. They did not return our calls promptly, even though we called within an hour of picking up the trailer to tell them about the missing blankets. We had to call again the next day. They did not follow through. We asked if we could pick them up at the u-haul storage facility where we were picking up some of our stuff. They told ud they would let us know. They did not get back to us and I had to call them multiple times. I finally went into the storage place because they told us that they tried all day to get ahold of them. Turns out, they were dialing the last 2 numbers reversed. When we were at the storage facility, they made them amend the contract for the blankets, since they came from a different place. The incompetence and lack of customer service really added to our stressful move. It was a very bad pick up experience.
