The entire process was easy. I went inside to sign the rental contract, then headed outside where a guy met me to hook up the trailer, then I was on my way in minutes. The dropoff was even easier, a guy met me outside to unhook the trailer and I didn't even need to go inside. Everyone was very friendly and helpful!

Truck did not have cruise control nor USB ports for charging phone. Storage capacity of truck is deceiving. A 20' truck does not have the true storage capacity of a 20' container.

I will continue to rent with U-haul, but I do have a few issues. 1) The 20' truck I rented had no cruise control. Very difficult to drive 1400 miles with no cruise control. 2) No USB port in truck. I did not have an adapter with me. 3) None of the U-haul trucks are truly the size claimed. A 20' truck really has only about 18' of cargo space. Basing size on cubic feet of storage would be more accurate. OR, do not include the "Mom's attic" in the size of the truck. Thank you.

Truck was not very well maintained. Struggled to idle, stalled twice and gas cap was broken. Maybe just while I was there, but one guy on the counter and long wait..

The assigned equipment was broken, yard tech was smoking cigarettes and complaining about everything, had to be reassigned equipment, manager just expected us to go with the assurance he would change the paperwork, he seemed annoyed that I preferred to leave with correct paperwork. Just the weirdest u haul experience from this location, which I have been impressed with on my multiple prior dealings. Maybe I just hit a bad day...

I rented a truck scheduled for 12 hours use on Sunday October 21st. Brought it back half hour before scheduled time with more gas in it than it had before, AND only drove 9 miles of the 12 I estimated. I could not get my phone to work with the U-Haul site to report the truck returned. (tried for about half hour getting eaten alive by mosquitos. So, I go home and call U-Haul spoke to a rep advised her I was having trouble with the website to report the truck as returned and I assumed (since I am a customer service rep myself) she would leave a note of it and we would be good. I only live three miles from the return lot. Three days later, I notice my money left out of the 100 deposit is not returned and in addition there was an ADDITIONAL $2.31 charge. I call and spoke to a rep who proceeds to tell me I was charged two days for NOT reporting the truck had been returned. I explain the entire story and she tells me the rep I spoke with LEFT NO NOTES?!?!? The first thing the automated message tells you is that all calls are recorded, so at least there is proof that way. Plus, there’s security video cameras all over surely, I must be on video with a time stamp somewhere. Rep proceeds to tell me it will be **three to five** business days before my money is returned!!!???!!! They sure took it instantaneously when I got the truck. I just moved and need EVERY penny which is why I meticulously planned this whole event down to exact mileage. Money is tight, but I planned everything down to the dollar. This gross error has caused me to get an OVERDRAFT FEE from the bank from something else that was SUPPOSED to go through, but DIDN’T, because the money I was supposed to have there wasn’t because it was being held hostage by U-Haul. Please return the money Immediately I have a mess to clean up that you all have created by poor customer service. The location itself was awesome, but the 800 customer service number really dropped the ball and cost me a lot

The customer service was very good. The employees were friendly and the equipment was clean and appeared well-maintained. The order, intake and return process was easy and uncomplicated. The pricing isn't as transparent as it implies in your marketing; etc. The extra fees increase the price of the rental by 40-50%, which makes your pricing and advertising look misleading. It would be a competitive advantage if you could simplify your pricing and make it more transparent.
