Great experience, except - when I arranged to pick up the trailer, I told them that I wanted to pick up the trailer Friday afternoon (5/13/22). The paperwork reflected that the trailer would be ready at 11:00AM (I was not told that I had to pick it up at 11:00). I had a list of things that I needed to get done before I picked up the trailer, but at 11:45 we got a call saying that if I did not pick up the trailer within 30 min. it would given to someone else. This totally screwed up my schedule and required me to pick up the trailer, take if home, drop it off, then complete my tasks, and then having to re-hook it up to our car. No a very good experience! Tyeva and her staff were wonderful. I dropped off the Auto Transport early and they got it checked in for me. Self return on the truck worked flawlessly when I dropped off after hours. Just simply gave my phone permission to use location services and followed the directions from there. Easy as pie. Wonderful experience.

Website was at times confusing or difficult to use. For example, one had to "associate" a contract with an account - that should be done automatically. Also, a new and separate contract was issued in order to deliver the same uboxes from a storage location - it issued new (erroneous) charges on the webpage, but the local folks said it was a "closeout contract" and the listed charges did not apply (huh??) - very odd. Maybe latter was an IT "kludge" because the data system couldn't otherwise handle a closeout adequately. Also the 1-800 service system was largely useless as they were unable to forward information accurately (or often at all) to local Ubox/Uhaul teams. But, Uboxes themselves were good (although some doors were very hard to close due to structural shear over time and mileage, I think).

Take Peter's market at 3100 Churchland Blvd. As a place to rent vehicles. I got there 15 minutes early and there was no vehicle. Your agent started that my pick up was at airline Blvd. Yet I received no update about my pick up location being moved. Peter's market claims you haven't sent them a truck for customer pickup in weeks!! This was a very inconvenient experience for me . They didn't have the truck size I reserved a week in advance at airline Blvd., however, I can't blame the gentlemen that work there for a lack of available trucks due to the short notice they were given. The staff at this location were friendly and professional!

Did not feel welcomed. When I said hello to the agent he grunted. Prior to going to drop off the trailer I called three times between 11:00 am-12:00 noon. No one answered the phone. When I arrived about 1:00 pm there were three employee's standing around outside.

The trailer lights on in bad shape. The lights have been shortened out for a while I had to take care of that myself with tape it could have shorted out my electrical system in my truck.

Our challenge was with the 24/7 after hours pick up. It took 45 minutes and 3 calls to the help desk. Also, the dolly we ordered was incorrect. We needed a furniture dolly but received a flat orange one instead. We ordered 12 packing blankets and received 6. Service with the location was very good though and we really appreciated the agent's personal attention.

When I reserved the truck, I told them I would be keeping the equipment until I finished the move and would require hours into the next day. He said “no problem, just call and tell us that tomorrow when your time is done and we can automatically leave you with the truck and continue with the move!” The following day As I talked with uhaul about this, we were penalized with a convenience fee because someone else was waiting for the same truck and had I called earlier, they would have had me return the truck before I had finished my move! My box spring for my bed was broken. I sent an email in regards to this when it arrived at my new home in St. Louis, MO but I have not heard back from anyone. I paid for insurance. The St. Louis, MO was extremely subpar. Only communication I had was a phone call a few days before. In VA the service was phenomenal. They text when the driver was not he way, met and greeted me to ensure my u-box would be left in the correct position. However, the St. Louis location, did not inform me they were arriving. They arrived hours in advance, they left the u-box opening facing the street, they did not greet me or ensure the box would be to my satisfaction. I had no idea my box was even outside.

The customer service was terrible I explain the situation to them that another U-Haul authorized rental facility told me to pick up the trailer I needed at Airline Boulevard, because in their system they had a lot of those trailers of the size I needed available were the customer service representatives were telling me they have none available at Airline Boulevard. If your system is that screwed up that one a customer is looking for a specific trailer one location says you don't have any and the other location says you've got a ton of them that's a problem, so far U-Haul has been a bad experience to rent trailers from .

Well, when you return the Equipment there is a sign outside that says "wait with the Equipment". If i waited for someone to come out i would still be sitting there right now, I mean literally as I am typing this message. I eventually went in and the guy at the counter was on his phone, I wasn't acknowledged until I stood in front of him. I guess thats the new customer service of today. Sorry I had to mention this.

I appreciate everyone when I come to rent a truck. I was able to go on the website the evening before, set up an appt and was there by 915am and had it back by 1020am. I just rent trucks to get furniture or something that will not fit in my car. Someone gave away a free couch love seat and only cost $30.28. Can NOT beat that. I would have paid more paying someone I asked to help me. Thank you

The truck was fairly dirty on the exterior, definitely needed a wash when I arrived. The staff seemed like they couldn't care less about anything to do with their service at all. I was assured the truck had a full tank of gas, as stated on my paperwork and yet when I got in the van it did not. I ended up putting far more gas in it to avoid charges than the gas I actually utilized in only 35 miles.

Making sure everything that was purchased is in the truck. I purchased a dolly and when I got to my destination the dolly was not in the truck. I called and had to hold for over 15 minutes to speak with someone. I was told I would be refunded for the dolly. However I was charged for going over my mileage which I scheduled 20 miles online and was charged for 15. My refund for the dolly has not been credited as it yet.

That female GM is the worst rude and unprofessional General Manager ever. A simple Good Morning goes a long way and sets the tone for the possible transaction. A mere greeting is harmless. Snatching the keys off the hooks to hand out and the display of an attitude is just unnecessary. I will never return for business nor recommend this location. Funny how later in the evening when I returned my Uhaul Van the two young men were pleasantly welcoming to everyone that came in the door without them even being at the counter yet. As I always say if you don't like your job QUIT! Or simply be kind and professional at all cost. Representation is key and to have such a difficult, rude, and unprofessional being employed by you as a General Manager is a direct reflection of the service rendered. NO THANK YOU

I rented a cargo van and after getting to my location 45 minutes later and loaded the van, the van would not start. I called the Uhaul location that I rented the van from and explained the situation and the urgency that I get the equipment loaded to my destination by the next hour. I didn't have 1 1/2 to 2 hours for roadside assistance. I had to call a neighbor with a truck to assist me.

I have had storage there since 2013 and I was disappointed that I lost precious items up for auction. I have not been In this status but one other time during the pandemic for which I was hospitalized twice for Covid. I felt like I could have been given one more week to get my sentimental non replaceable items out. Was given discounted rate but needed my family items. Deeply saddened.

First, there was supposed to be a free lock. NOPE! Had to go and ask at the office and was told all out and that I could purchase one of their other ones. Then had to walk all the way around to get back in because there is no key pad on that side of the bldging. Then tried to use the cart and ramps. The concrete ramp was broken on the end so created a VERY LARGE LIP to try and get over. The cart had a broken wheel most likely broken by the very large lip. Our furniture Dolly couldn’t even maneuver well over this lip. Made it VERY MISERABLE AND DIFFICULT TO MOVE IN. ADDITIONALLY the door shut and locked us out while trying to move in so I had to walk to a different door to let us in. All in All it was a very frustrating move in with many a cuss word spoken!! 😡. SO NOT HAPPY WITH THIS EXPERIENCE!!

We made reservations over the phone over two months prior to relocating from Florida to Virginia. When we finally arrived with a huge 26ft uhaul and a car being towed, they told us there are no units available. You can imagine the panic we felt that moment. Apparently uhaul (corporate) will overbook things but the units themselves are “first come first serve” at this location. Having said that, the staff accommodated us rather quickly and ended up finding a unit that just emptied out which was perfect for our things. Their customer service was fantastic and the people working there are very accommodating and work hard. Can’t say enough good things about this location. Hopefully uhaul corporate can correct this booking issue. Overall very satisfied with my experience after it was all said and done.
