I forgot to ask his name, but the A.M. manager was awesome and professional, along with his staff. I complimented the Oracle Shop (Tucson AutoMall) on 9/2 as one of the best experiences I've had at a U-Haul location. I can tell this manager runs a tight ship. I was in and out in 15 minutes, which kept my day on-schedule. I hope this gentleman is recognized for his service to your company. The man who checked us out tried to double charge us to the point my husband was cussing at him and he never does that. Then there was a lady coming in from the parking lot that had a badge on and I told her that there was something wrong and as she walked off she said don't yell in my ear which was very rude and I wasn't yelling at her but it turns out we were paid in full we don't know nothing else. My original reservation was for a different location at 11:30. They did not have the equipment available so they sent me to this location. I ended up not getting my equipment until an hour after my original reservation time. Because of this, I brought up the $50 reservation guarantee, as I thought I was entitled to a $50 refund or credit. However, the clerk had never heard of such a thing, and didn't believe me, even after showing her the guarantee on the U-Haul website. Her manager told me that I wasn't eligible because I hadn't placed a $50 hold fee online. I pointed out that that was never option, and definitely not specified in the terms of the reservation guarantee, but he still refused to honor it. I was not able to get my $50 credit until calling the corporate help line and speaking to an agent there.SAMUEL M.

Have reservations butt out and let us call the store directly. Reservations makes promises of equipment and the stores don't have it...ever. I booked a 24/7 u-haul for 4 am to beat the heat and not get rained on. Without telling me, U-Haul decided to try and make this an in-store pickup. We were waiting at 4 am and the U-Haul application was not allowing me to pick up my truck. It took 3 hours on the phone with customer service to get the truck because the company decided to make it an in-store pickup without notifying me through text or email. All of our things are wet. Totally unacceptable. I will go with another company next time. The first person I spoke with on the phone was rude and didn't help at all. The second and third person did their best to make it right but 3 hours is just absolutely pathetic.Warren B.

The general manager (Hal) had a cocky, I don't care attitude. Like he was on power trip. When I asked him if they had a dumpster for the tenants to use, he said yes. But it'll cost ya $15. All I had were 2 boxes (that were torn-down/flattened), plus 1 (15 gallon) bag of garbage. For $15?? He told me if I didn't want to pay, I could dump it next store (in their dumpster). I thought, Wow, that ain't right!? Now, this is after I just spent $1400 on a 15' truck (plus another $450 in gas) to move across country. Only to find out when I arrived that all my stuff, at the back 5' of the truck...was all wet on the bottom. By the way...he acknowledged that. It's just the principal of the whole thing. The staff, no one seemed to know how to do anything, telling me I had to come back when mgr was there. Even when I said call main office , they'd say they're out to lunch or dinner. 2 young men diff times acted either totally stoned or I'm sorry mentally extreme slow. Staring at puter doing nothing making us wait. For nothing. I was given a credit instead of a refund for unused boxes etc but they'd never let me use the credit, either cuz I can't use it towards storage rent or truck. But when I was buying supplies then it didn't work come back. This is even with whoever is acting boss that shift. Mgr seemed to be drugged or ? at times too. Everyone came in was frustrated, everytime I had to come in, often at times. Mgr leaves alot it seems never there. When he was he was nice. The premises itself felt safe and at time good loc but due to staff and how it's all run, I'd never use it, in fact I have moved out. The times I've had to use the main office it's been great, including this last time where without any hassle at all, I was given my immediate refund on that useless credit. Ps.. I was there about a year and all I said never got better in fact worse. I don't understand why you're letting such a prime loc be run by stoned vegetables idiots, including it's 'upper mgt' down. The facility and staff was great. One complaint is that they force you to buy a special padlock. They claim the reason is that these locks are more secure. This is not true. The round locks they force you to use can be broken in less than 5 minutes with a drill. I'm pretty sure the reason they require these is so they can get into a unit (with a drill) if someone stops paying, etc.Richard B. | Overall Experience

I found the experience pulling a 5x8 trailer with a car very taxing on gas mileage. Normally I get 25 mpg. I only got 12.7mpg pulling the trailer. The drag is tremendous.
