The original pick up location of my Uhaul was not guaranteed as it said online so they sent me to another location. When I arrived here at this location on Oracle I tried to mention the company guarantee and they argued with me about the actual policy that is posted in Uhaul website. The initial conversation was not pleasant and eventually they gave us the $50 credit after much hassle. I recognize it a lot of the struggle was because of the initial pick up location on Ina road and their lack of competency but it still was a rough transition.Breanna L.

The cargo van was clean, but two items in the interior were broken. One of the AC vents would not adjust up/down, and the parking break release "lever" was dangling a bit and not in its normal position. However it did work.Chris L.

when reserving the trailer, i picked a site that said available--then i was told various other places i would have to pick up at why to you say its available when in fact its not then calling to confirm a site the first person who answered not in the city of pickup didnt want ot help directed me back to the city of pickup and was disconnected. the second call was answered again from a person not in the city of pick up but different from the first attempt and that person was more than happy to help and set /confirmed everything for meThomas D.

The Uhaul website needs an overhaul. I rented 2 trucks on the last month. Chose to do online check in and both times had to reset password so I couldn't login. I uploaded my license and wasn't there and was never able to not check in without going in the store.Michelle B.

Wandered around for 20 minutes trying to find the qr code to scan for mobile app. Finally asked someone then was yelled at by the manager for smoking in the parking lot, where there were no signs stating any dangers.... rude. Contract 16206892 Manager Hal Diaz at location 4566 N Oracle Tucson accused me of small front bumper damage to a van â€¦ because I parked the van instead of driving around back to return it. Id just driven hundreds of miles from New Mexico and unloaded the van. Its 95* hot - Im 67 and I parked first place I saw and went in. Where Hal chastised where I parked, really? Then he hurries out comes back and says you parked over there to hide the bumper damage! I Have no idea how he made that conclusion. He says: You had an accident and are trying to hide it. So boy howdy im pissed. I had not even a bump in this vehicle. He says we sent picturesâ€¦ No. Not reallyâ€”- sent a link to pictures if I open an account and sign in. So that link does not open to see picture at all! He cannot even show me on the bumper where the chrome is scratched! Regardless, he charges me $168 for damage to the bumper. I think he's looking for trouble or a bit too paranoid b'c I parked someplace he didn't like. Me an AARP guy! How fair is this? This guy is just preying on older folks who make a simple â€œmistakeâ€. Make it easier to talk to someone and when your on the phone holding for 30minutes it just hangs up and then u have start all over bad system. Then they really aren't that much better to go to a uhaul facility. Very frustrating. My experience in Texas was so much better then Arizona 😌Jo Ann C.
I give this location and the people working there top marks. They were tremendously helpful, all very kind and welcoming. I rented three vehicles from there in the course of four days, and had a stellar experience with each one. I had a minor problem with the third vehicle (rear door was stuck), brought the vehicle right in, and the person that helped me with it got right on it and had it remedied in just a few minutes. I can't say enough his about them. If I was to suggest any improvement, it would be an expansion of the facility there and the addition of extra counter help. The location is super busy. The people there work as hard and as fast as they can, but the volume of business is overwhelming. Nevertheless, the staff is welcoming, professional and helpful.Marci K.

I made a reservation with Uhaul multiple weeks in advance. I chose a pickup location within walking distance of my old apartment and a dropoff location within walking distance of my new apartment. Two days before my reservation Uhaul told me that my "guaranteed" reservation was unavailable and moved me to a new pickup location that was like 5 miles away and forced me to take a $20 uber. Then on the day of my reservation, Uhaul also canceled my "guaranteed" dropoff location and moved that to a new, further location that also required an approximately $20 uber. You didn't honor either of my reservations, you canceled them both the week of, and you screwed me out of $40. Horrible experience.Andrew M.

We didn't end up getting our original rental equipment due to shortage of 10 ft trucks. But Alexus was very accommodating and helped us get a different truck that met our needs. I could tell that they were crazy busy, so I appreciated them finding an option for me, even if it wasn't my original plan. The other staff were rude and short with customers. I had another U-haul storage space which I had reserved in March 2022 at the U-haul storage facility located at 450 N. Freeway in Tucson, because this is where I rented a moving truck, auto-carrier trailer and indoor storage unit as I was relocating from San Diego, CA and moving to Tucson, Arizona. When I finally arrived in Tucson to return the truck, trailer and off load the contents of the truck, I was notified that "there's no reservation on file for you here, we don't have anything available". I told this customer service representative that he was mistakened, why would I have pre-paid for an moving help service to meet me here to un-load the truck, and they're outside getting paid to do nothing! "I was told to contact U-haul customer service, because there was nothing he could do". So, I called the 800-468-4285 number and was placed on hold for an unnecessary extended period of time, in order to get some help. Finaly, I was connected to an call center customer service agent that I had to explain the entire story and situation to, before she could begin to assist me. The best solution that could be done at such short notice, and to allow for the very limited time I still had remaining on the paid help, was for me to be sent to the U-haul storage facility on Oracle Road which is an outside storage facility. I did not have any other option at this point, so I had them contact that office before they closed and notify them that I was on my way. When I and the moving helpers arrived, I meet the U-haul customer service representative to sign the rental contract, purchase a lock, locate the storage unit and attempted to drive the truck to the rental unit. This may have gone much faster if the storage facility had not recently had a fire inside a storage unit which took out the lights in the yard which made finding the unit and unloading the truck extremely difficult. By the time we found the unit and placed one item inside, my time was up for the paid moving help. I locked the unit and never returned until I moved out last month.PHILLIP F. | Overall Experience

The general manager (Hal) had a cocky, I don't care attitude. Like he was on power trip. When I asked him if they had a dumpster for the tenants to use, he said yes. But it'll cost ya $15. All I had were 2 boxes (that were torn-down/flattened), plus 1 (15 gallon) bag of garbage. For $15?? He told me if I didn't want to pay, I could dump it next store (in their dumpster). I thought, Wow, that ain't right!? Now, this is after I just spent $1400 on a 15' truck (plus another $450 in gas) to move across country. Only to find out when I arrived that all my stuff, at the back 5' of the truck...was all wet on the bottom. By the way...he acknowledged that. It's just the principal of the whole thing. The staff, no one seemed to know how to do anything, telling me I had to come back when mgr was there. Even when I said call main office , they'd say they're out to lunch or dinner. 2 young men diff times acted either totally stoned or I'm sorry mentally extreme slow. Staring at puter doing nothing making us wait. For nothing. I was given a credit instead of a refund for unused boxes etc but they'd never let me use the credit, either cuz I can't use it towards storage rent or truck. But when I was buying supplies then it didn't work come back. This is even with whoever is acting boss that shift. Mgr seemed to be drugged or ? at times too. Everyone came in was frustrated, everytime I had to come in, often at times. Mgr leaves alot it seems never there. When he was he was nice. The premises itself felt safe and at time good loc but due to staff and how it's all run, I'd never use it, in fact I have moved out. The times I've had to use the main office it's been great, including this last time where without any hassle at all, I was given my immediate refund on that useless credit. Ps.. I was there about a year and all I said never got better in fact worse. I don't understand why you're letting such a prime loc be run by stoned vegetables idiots, including it's 'upper mgt' down. The facility and staff was great. One complaint is that they force you to buy a special padlock. They claim the reason is that these locks are more secure. This is not true. The round locks they force you to use can be broken in less than 5 minutes with a drill. I'm pretty sure the reason they require these is so they can get into a unit (with a drill) if someone stops paying, etc.Richard B. | Overall Experience

I found the experience pulling a 5x8 trailer with a car very taxing on gas mileage. Normally I get 25 mpg. I only got 12.7mpg pulling the trailer. The drag is tremendous. Perhaps you could offer a wind foil that attaches to the roof of a car to reduce the drag and increase mileage. I Imagine it would help with Your profits also.chris k. | First Impressions
