1) There were no furniture pads so I had to improvise and use every towel and blanket in the house to pad the contents of my U-box to make sure it stayed balanced and didn't shift in transit. 2) I reported the above lack of furniture pads immediately via the website email blank but never received any response. 3) When it was time to retrieve and unload my filled, stored U-box, I first mistakenly called U-Haul rather than MovingHelp.com and when I asked for guidance in setting up a moving helper to bring the U-box to my new home and unload it for me, I was told "we don't do that". The agent didn't remind me that I could use MovingHelp.com to do this. She actually said "we don't do this", and told me that I'd have to have the container delivered by U-Haul truck, left for a few days, then picked up after I emptied it or hired someone else to empty it for me. It took me an extra week and two more calls to U-Haul before I connected with an agent at the actual storage facility who was able to quickly direct me to use MovingHelp.com. I think all U-Haul agents should be aware of the sister company MovingHelp.com ("powered by U-Haul"), and be able to respond to situations like mine. It was a simple solution (use a different website) but two other agents and one of their "supervisors" were not able to tell me how to hire an approved moving company to assist me.Cynthia S.

My experienced was mixed. I was not able to pick up my truck from the assigned location, and it took a long time for the staff to figure out I was not going to be able to have a truck. The Sam Houston address was the second location I had been to that day. My truck had a large sticky spot in the back. Otherwise, it was fine.Shelley D.

Service was excellent. I cannot remember the name of the gentleman working by himself on Thursday. However, after purchasing the rental of a trailer and upon leaving the store to drive my Expedition to the trailer, I noticed a couple coming through the door. I figured my friends and I would have to wait in the scorching heat before he would be able to do the hitching up. I had no sooner pulled up to the trailer, and I see the young man running towards me. He hitched up the trailer in less than 3 minutes and then ran back to the office. He must have explained what he needed to do and asked if they could give him a few minutes while he finished up with me. He must have realized that the customKimberly A.

Will never use Uhaul again. Their estimate of how many boxes needed was so off, the costs incurred on us to order more was a goldmine for them. I have lost count of the number of items damaged or destroyed as I unpack, including a 6-month old washer and a top of line fridge. They treated us and our business like trash. Jordan and the 2 ladies Sabrina and I cant remember right now so HELPFUL I can not Stress enough if you are decent human being . I had NEEDS I had Desires all I did was ask for help NOT DEMAND it but was decent to them . THE WENT UP AND ABOVE my expectations they far exceeded my expectations. There are ALOT of moving parts in this business and I have to say UHAUL all the way has been Amazing. My UBox was handled professionally and I moved the reservation around very accommodating. Arrived before it was scheduled. Then on this end it was moved to a overflow lots close by .Jordan and the ladies arranged to get it back over in a reasonable time less than a week . Then once I decided to move it into storage on the property we set a date and it was done . My unit was easy and clean the facility was clean and easy to maneuver thru Clean Bathrooms. I was a little upset when I went to pay. When I called to set the truck up it rolled over to the help line. I spoke to Tracey to ask about setting up the truck. She told me it was $.40 a mile for every mile we went over. When I went to pay, they had charged me $1.09 a mile. We would not have gone over if we thought it would be that price. We made two trips with the truck thinking it was only $.40 per mile. I filed a complaint about being charged differently than what I was quoted on the phone. We are awaiting a call in this regard We love doing business with Uhaul. Sabrina and Pricilla are great to work with at the facility located at 11300 South Sam Houston Parkway West Tory is great to work with at the Red Bluff facility in Pasadena TxRonald M.

The truck was not clean but was cleaned while i was waiting. There was no gas in the truck so i refused to drive it off the lot fearing it would run out of gas on the way to rhe gas station. I asked my wife to go get some gas for me. Eventually the team drove the truck to get gas. Not happy at all about the pickup experience.James H.

The trailers need to be renovated - wooden parts broken at the ends and rubber was falling off rub rails. There was enough tie down points for me to use - but many were broken or disabled because of conditionsJames P.

Every staff member was real cool and helpful every time I can to my unit or had questions. I was renting when the first floor flooded. We were very upset about the flood because we lost irreplaceable items but we understood that it was the staffs fault or Uhaul’s fault. But they inventoried all all of belongings moved us to a unit upstairs and when we made it up there to see the damages they where very pro active in seeing that all there customers where taken care, even patiently dealing with the rude ones. I was impressed with they way they handled that situation. ( I paid for the insurance so we where reimbursed but we lost a lot of cool books). My wife had made a reservation online to move our stuff from Austin to Houston. We took advantage of getting the one month free storage unit because we needed somewhere to store our things and when got to the facility in south Stafford (to be specific) they had given up our storage unit, that we rightfully reserved and when we tried to see if they had anything else available they told us they didn’t. The employees that work there were completely incompetent they knew gave up my locker but were beating around the bush until after I got off the phone with the manager. (She goes by Mrs. D) she told me she had found another facility that had the storage locker that we needed which was 9 minutes away however I find it disappointing that this particular place conducts business like that. This storage facility was way better than any of the storage places I’ve used before. I did not get climate control yet it felt like it. Didn't like them telling me I was getting extra Miles (230) but it wasn't notated. Also they were giving me an extra day & according to the Staff at Mesa Rd., all of that wasn't Noted towards my Acct. That meant I had to pay an extra $400 for Movers because the original Movers weren't available to Move me a day earlier & that's not fair qhat U-haul did to me. In the end, my kids helped to Move me, ask the Staff at the Storage location. It took us forever...late, but overall everything was well until i got to the Auto Transport. Being a "gentle" female, I sisnr quite understand the "hookup" for my Vehicle. I didn't feel comfortable about the connection so I didn't Transport my Vehicle, so I rented it for nothing. As stated on contract I moved in on the 31st but was first given payment due date of the 29th. I told the lady that wasn’t fair as my move in date was the 31st. She then changed it to the 30th but I’ll still be paying a day earlier due to the fact that I moved in on the 31st.
