I wanted a big truck because I was going to move heavy stuff and I really needed the ramp. But we couldn't be able to use it because it was stuck. We had to carry everything ourselves. They should inspect the trucks before renting them.Blancaesthela O.
I used my truck to move a close family member to their hospice home since they found out they are sick and have less than six months to live. When I returned my truck, i stopped under the awning and read the sign that said to wait for an employee during open hours. I waited for eight or nine minutes, and as I was in a hurry to get back to tasks concerning my sick family member, I read some more of the sign to see what else I could do to get it done more quickly. The sign seemed to say I could use the mobile app to complete the return, so I started to do that. When the app instructed me to park the truck and take a picture for "the next family to find it easily," I think I misunderstood where I was supposed to park, probably because I misread the either sign or the app or both. I parked it in what appeared to be staging area with numbered spaces on the asphalt. As I finished uploading the picture, the u-haul associate came out and over to me, and said, "I'll take the keys and finish up since you didn't park it where the sign said to." I said, "Oh my bad. I think I might have gotten confused between what the sign and the app said, and messed it up." He said, "Yeah, well, the sign says to park it over there." I said, "Right, that's why I'm saying sorry, because I've got a lot going on in my head right now, and I think I made a mistake." He said, "I don't care. The sign says where to park it." I said loudly, "Look man, maybe don't be so pissy. I've got a lot going on in my head, because I've got someone in my family who is dying right now, "I don't give a FUCK!" he said. Then we got in a shouting/cussing match. I ended up going into the store to angrily inform the other uhaul employee what had transpired. When I finally sat down in the car, i broke down and cried. he made a stressful enough time in my life a whole hell of a lot more painful, because I had a difficult time sifting through two different sets of directions and I parked a truck in the wrong spot.Matthew M.

Was charged 60 dollars for a gas fee even though it was brought back with the correct amount of gas. I was reimbursed but I would make sure you look at your bill closely.samantha R.

Location was great because it is near my home. All employees were very nice, cordial and very helpful. Even on my phone conversation regarding my rental. Was VERY busy picking up our Cargo van, but the service went rather fast to get everyone taken care of in a timely manner. I've had a nightmare of a time WAY in the past, but would recommend this location to anyone. Thanks for the exceptional service this time, to all of you!Robert D.

I could not have asked for better service and helpful, understanding counter guys. What I needed was right there and immediately taken care of no waiting for my truck or supplies. For those with negative reviews, maybe you have never worked retail. I used this location 3 times and other locations many time. UHAUL will always be my go to for moving and packing needs. When I went to pick my truck up they double booked the truck. They fixed this but when I check the fuel level it was at 1/4 of a tank. My dad and I put 12 gallons in the truck and only drove 60miles and they still charged me a fuel fee adding up to $54. Not happyJordan H.

Gentleman was helping us and then answered a phone call. We didn't know he answered it and he completely ignored us for 45 mins. The uhaul wasn't swept when we drove it off the lot and We used a little under half a tank and was charged 87$ got us from point a to point b but we will not be using these services againDerektyler R.

I would not recommend uhaul at all, I had a pickup scheduled for 3pm and did not get my rental until 530, the mobile app was not working well, the guy at the store couldn't help me fix it or correct any of the issues, he then referred me back to the mobile app the mobile app then took forever the mobile then referred me to contact uhaul, I had provided my CC and my license over 10 times through my whole experience, I had scheduled a pick up for 3 pm cause I needed it at 3pm not 530pm, simply said NEVER AGAIN!Sylvia O.

You charged me for gas after I filed the truck up and actually put more in then I had at pickup. I did not check the box for your insurance in fact, I specifically DID NOT WANT IT. I would never recommend this location nor your company to anyone. I feel this is predatory practices and lacking integrity from such a large company.Dan C.
I waited in the lobby for about 10 minutes before someone finally came out to help me. Then when he came out he criticized be for being there 4 minutes before they close when I had been standing there waiting for a while. All the other locations that I tried had incorrect hours online and all had nobody in the office. I was sent away because a place didn't have a 15ft available and when I showed up at the other one it was empty and closed down. Very positive experience. I'm glad I chose this U-haul location. My only complaint would be that the truck was not swept out when I picked it up, and there were alot of remnants of plants from whomever used it before me. It was an easy fix for me to get a push broom in there, but wish it had been done prior. Otherwise no issues in the whole process.Bradley B.

Short story: Seems the closers maintain a standard for the crappiest customer service ever. In factâ€” It's completely none existent!! Long story: I had a 6:30 pickup. A gentleman employee walking out of the front door asks if I needed help. I told him I had a reservation to which he responds they're only accepting cash because the credit card systems are down. Now, I found it inconvenient that I was not called since I did not intend on paying cash but I said thanks I would be back. The store closes at 7PM so I had to run to an ATM. By the time I got back we had about 15 minutes before the store closed. The first 5 minutes I waited in the empty lobby. When he finally came in and began checking me in we get to discussion of payment and he then chooses to state there was a $100 deposit for cash payments. Are you kidding me?! I asked why he couldn't tell me that before I left to go get cash to which he insisted he did. Um, sir we stood outside the door for a hot second when you turned me away with your sad news of no cards. No ya DIDNT. By this time it's five minutes to close so I didn't have enough time to get a deposit. I moved my reservation to the next morning and the guy with the fancy cane was there ready to help me out with a smile. Granted he forgot my dollyâ€”which I noticed when I got the rental to where I was moving from but I called and they were happy to note my account so I wouldn't get additional charges. Later that day, after my move I return my truck. I wanted to speak with a rep to verify I wasn't going to get a charge for the dolly since they ran my card before I took it and we just proceeded the move without it. There were two people working. One guy followed me in, took my keys and said I was set. I asked him if he could verify that the dolly situation was squared away and I wouldn't have additional charges on my account. This man sighed and told me the other guy would help and walked into the realm of â€œemployees onlyâ€. Well â€œthe other guyâ€ didn't make his way back into the lobby until about 15 minutes later. By then there were about three other people beside myself are also awaiting service. He says â€œdamn y'all all really waited?â€ One of the people asked if they would be able to get a fill on their propane. This rude employee a ays â€œif you want to wait you can. I might get to it but we're closed in 5 minutes.â€ Moral of the story: Don't go to Burlingame location if you're in the Wyoming area.Ramona J.

I'm sure the situation was that they did not have enough employees working the day after Xmas. There was 1 employee to start - we were in line for almost and hour and a half. We even completed the on-line check in - but it did not make a difference. What is the point behind the on-line check-in if you can't just get what you've rented. Anyway, the poor guy who was left to do the job completely on his own, checking people in and then getting the equipment for each person made for a painful wait. Then another employee came in who apparently was in a car accident the day or two before - he could barely function. We were concerned for his health. It was very unorganized and I felt bad for the employees. But the real issue is the on-line check-in. It would seem to me that if you check-in - the only thing you should have to do is show your id, they print out the paperwork and bam you are on your way. We had difficulty with giving him a contact person - the first one was 'wrong' which made no sense as there was no explanation as to what that meant. Would highly recommend improving on the on-line check-inDaniel R.

System for drop-off was a little confusing, though it appeared only one person was working and it was in fact dark, so I do not blame that on U-Haul or staff. I only need until for 2 weeks, and when I went to cancel the man said ok, then I got a bill, call uhaul and they said the would email management. I asked for a copy and was told it was an inter office email so I could not get one. fast forward 30 days and another invoice! The check in process was fine. After getting a flat 9 mins from our location we had to wait 5 hours for roadside assistance because not only did it take almost an hour to just get a hold of someone they got our location wrong sent after waiting 2.5 hours then had to wait another hour for a guy when the job took less then 5 mins to fix.
