The customer service was awesome. It was quite busy but they were always kind. The truck was clean and useful for what we needed. The only one thing, the truck had a very strong smoking smell. I thought the trucks were not smoking.

The storage facility was supposed to be securely locked indoors, but for months if you turned the handle to the security door upwards it would open without the key card. I reported this several times.

When you tell a customer the key is outside in the box when it's actually not don't make them wait back in line just so they can find out the key was on the damn desk the whole time.. but other then unknowledgeable employees the vehicles are kept clean.. so not all bad..

Employees were not very personable or friendly. Saw multiple employees get in fights/yell at customers who were just asking questions. Customers took a while to get serviced and when picking up my equipment we went through 3 different pieces because the system was not functioning.

I waited over an hour to get my truck. Even with using the app to schedule everything. It didn't work and I had to wait in line to get my truck. Then they couldn't find the keys. I wasted an hour when I should've already had the truck. I was told by one of the employees there that he would make sure I wasn't charged the full amount. So Far, I haven't seen any discounts. Please respond as soon as possible.

The license plate on my trailer was torn off. I only noticed this after I left the lot and arrived to pick up my item to be towed. I would hate to be held liable or be pulled over by authorities with this issue. Otherwise this location has reasonably fast and very helpful staff.

I was greeted very nicely even though they were busy. I pointed out the defects on the trailer and they said that it was bad; not any exaggeration on my part. They also said that they were happy that I was safe. They apologized for the experience even though they had nothing to do with it.

The check in guy was super slow and asked me the same questions for forms I had already filled in online. Took about 25 minutes to check out a truck. Then when I returned the truck and tried to park it. The same guy started honking at me incessantly and aggressively shouting at me for not going through the equipment return lane. Well, when you have signs that are super small it makes it difficult for customers to see it. Either way he was rude and unprofessional. Don’t think I’ll be coming back next time.

Not a huge fan of the staff having to take pictures of your drivers license with there personal phones with what appears to be a U-Haul app. Invest in a scanner or get a “company phone” guys were really nice just seems like a sketchy policy

Everyone there was unprofessional. There were 4 guys behind the counter and no one said hello. I had to try to engage with them. They joked with each other and ignored me altogether. Honestly, they all should be fired. I felt very uncomfortable giving them my credit card information as they all looked and acted untrustworthy. Uhaul needs to pay attention to what is going on there. I witnessed another customer who was also very uncomfortable with the situation. I can tell you for sure that Uhaul is losing a lot of business with the way this location is being managed. Absolutely zero customer care.

Don't convince customers to drop off the key so they don't have to wait so long and tell them the receipt will be emailed to them, then put charges on their bill that they do not owe for. That is crooked, cheating, and stealing.

Wrong truck was given to us by workers on accident, they didn’t realize this until the next day. They also forgot to give us the furniture pads we ordered with our reservation, & they were not informed on Michigan auto insurance policies & no one was at the counter to greet you & help, you had to use this 2 way radio to page for help at the front desk which was a little awkward since I was not sure what to say. The workers were very friendly & polite.

The yruck tan rough and the drive shaft sounded like it was going to fall out of the truck. I didnt top off the fuel b4 i brought the truck back and rhey charged an xtra 40 plus dollars above our original agreement to my crwdit card and i xouldnt have used more than 10 dollars in gas. I only used it to go from one end of 28th street to the other end. All rhe staff at the location are pretty decent and proffessional so thats a plus.

they had a lot of workers running around trying to move trucks, I waited to be checked in. Had made reservation, but they did not have the van I requested and no back up to provide me, unless I wanted to drive to another location, which was way out of my way, I refused bc that again, was way on the opposite side of town that I needed to be. There were 2 other customers in the store that had reservations and their vehicle was not available either. I had people waiting for me to move but I had no truck to move with. I called the call center approx. 2 hrs later to see if the van was back, it was not, but they did have a small truck they let me use. the truck inside was dirty and the "check engine" light was on" VERY VERY Disappointing! You make a reservation for a reason, you have to plan moving day, arrange people to help you move, and then there is no truck available -- I would not recommend this location to anyone.

The U-Haul phone system is abysmal. The Arizona HQ intercepts calls to local centers and puts customers on perpetual hold quashing any chance of making local connections in a timely manner.

While I'm not complaining about the individuals, the service and the process they have to follow was extremely slow! To pick up a trailer there was 8 people in line in front of me and it took 1 and half hours before I was on my way.

Doors opened at 7, but store was not ready to be opened. We stood around for 10 mins as the manager performed opening duties like counting the drawers and turning computers on. She was rude to customers and other employees. Very unprofessional, very poor experience from a customers perspective. I would not let her run my business like that.

Is no well maintains on the equipment. I'm really disappointed drove for 2hrs. With the car dolly and I don't able to use it because one of the straps don't work. I try to call 1800 number and don't answer. U haul need to repair the equipment before rent. U haul reimburse my money but my time and gasoline not and is no fare. I stop and other U haul closer and thay no want to fix. Is really bad situation.

Learn to hook up trailers and safely secure them to the hitch and make sure to tighten the lock got all the way home and looked at the trailer I rented and the U-Haul employee did not tighten my trailer lock it was just resting on my hitch very very disappointed

Service was absolutely horrible. There were only 2 other customers in the show room when I arrived and I still had to wait for 45 minutes to rent a pre-reserved trailer. Out of the apparent 5-6 people that were on staff that morning only one was waiting on people. The efficiency of the staff is seriously lacking and their focus on customer service is near non-existent. If I have need of another trailer in the future, I will drive clear across town to another location or find a different company to rent from before going back to the location on Burlingame.

Add more help on the weekends. I picked up a reserved trailer on Sunday the 28th and people were lined up to the door with only 2 people at the counter. Wait time was 40 minutes for most of us because the counter help had to leave after each processed order and help with trailer connections and everything else. Very frustrating for help and customers ....

As this is the busiest location it was very inconvenient that the credit card terminals were out if service which made every transaction take longer. The employees handled the high volume of customers well but you all should consider hiring more staff.

The service was Great. It was short staffed and the guys did a great job. The only issue I had was, they gave us a 10% discount and wrote it on the paper and not deducting it from the price in the store. I dropped it off over night the same day and the drop off office couldn't credit me the 10% and I was charged for gas that was at the point when I picked the truck up. Please make the payment adjustments. Thanks

You need to make the check in process faster. What I mean is I was waiting in line for over 12 mins just before someone ask for me to come up to the counter. It seemed like I was the only one that made a reserve for a truck. I was nice about it, but come on I have things to do with your truck. Please make it faster for the people who made a reserve to get out faster.

I pulled the truck into the lane designated “equipment return’ by the washbay. We got out, and we’re about to head inside when one of the attendants (A) asked us to back it up so he could move on of the trailers. No problem, attendant (B) gives us our receipt. Just as we are getting ready to go again, We then are told by the attendant (B) that we need to go put the truck in a different spot for them, since if they run into something moving it, we can still be held liable (as per the contract). Despite us now having the receipt, we have to do the work? To appease them we moved it, which involved driving the 20 foot truck (with auto transport trailer) around a tight parking lot with more trucks and trailers, where attendant (A) then instructed me to back it up around a corner and into a parking spot between two other trailers on the curb...yeah no. I told him I wasn’t comfortable with that, at which point the other attendant (C) offered to do it for me (thank you!) I took him up on his offer, which still took him several minutes of backing up and retrying to park it. I appreciated his help, but the entire process made me feel like I was being pressured to do their work for them, with consequences that I would have to pay for either way....haven’t had this problem with this location before.

The gentleman working at the Burlingame store were awesome!! I had a reservation at the 28th Street location by mistake. They happily fixed everything promptly and got me on my way.

Did the 24 hour pickup for my reservation. Was issued the wrong vehicle (same specs but this one was not meant for 1-way), Customer Service reps were very helpful. I was told that the location manager (Wyoming, MI) would "take care of it in the morning" (switching out the vehicle I had vs the vehicle I should have had on my reservation). When returning the vehicle to my drop off location (Jackson, MI) I was going to be charged $35,000 for going 45,000 miles (in less than 48 hours, are you kidding me?) Summed up, the system thought that I had truck A which had 94,000 miles on the odometer when I actually had truck B which had 135,000 miles on the odometer. My advice to customers (which saved me): Take a picture of the dashboard when you first get your truck so you can see what the fuel gage is AND how many miles the vehicle has when you first get it... AND take note of the vehicle ID. I was also told from customer service that the manager of the Wyoming, MI location said they do not use a key-code on the key lockbox. The boxes are just unlocked so someone could have just taken a truck (or in this case, 2 because there was another set of keys inside the truck that I used). The manager at the Wyoming, MI location dropped the ball big time. Manager at Jackson, MI made everything right. (BIG thanks to him!).

(1) The business did not open up on time. Had to wait 15 minutes before someone showed up. (2) I was told the installation is scheduled to take 1.5 hours, instead it took 3 hours. It caused me to have to cancel a Dr appointment. I believe the technician did a good job installing the hitch.

Holy moly, your truck was terrifying to drive. It felt like it was going to fall apart at any moment. Made for very stressful driving, especially the drive was over an hour. Sorely tempted to use literally any other storage transportation next time.

The passenger door didnt seem to shut all the way kinda sketchy for the person sitting passenger. Also the returning of the equipment. I pulled it out back and waited. 3 workers was out there never acknowledge I was even there until 15 minutes later. Then I asked them if I was good to go and couldn't get a clear answer so I walked away felt very un welcomed.

I scheduled this trailer which I never received a call from any scheduler. The day I needed it I called uhaul and got corporate which told be the gm of the store would call myself, which never did. It took going over to the store to find 2 HO trailers ready but never checked in for over 24 hours. I hate uhauls new system, it really sucks as it's a complete failure. I even tried to check the status on your website which never worked and tried the app which sits in an endless loop sending a code to my email. I helped bring the app down past a 3 star. Go back to the original uhaul where life was easier.

After a long wait to pick up my rental, the van was very dirty inside and out. It felt like a clunker driving down the road. The manager expressed no regrets or offered any apology. Very disappointed and will never use or recommend Uhaul again.

This was our first horrible experience with any sort of uhaul!! Grandville location was absolutely terrible! They charged us 15$ without even asking for the insurance on the truck which we clearly did not need and when we went to go drop off at the designated time we waited for 30 minutes like the sign said and nobody came to help. When we went inside the person was very rude and non apologetic for the delay and we didn’t get a receipt until 2 days after for the charges. Worst place ever and we will never go back to this location!!

Everything went well until I returned the van. At check in the attendant asked for estimated mileage but failed to mention that there was an upcharge for going over the estimate. He asked where I was going and said oh, xx number of miles should cover it. When I returned with the van the guy checking it in was going to charge me double what my estimate was. If I hadn't waited for a receipt I would have had no recourse. The manager/possibly owner came out and took care of the issue and gave me a discount for the inconvenience. Also, the original mileage was recorded incorrectly, luckily I had taken a picture of the odometer and gas gauge when I picked it up. I just would recommend that customers take a pic as I did and if possible wait for your final receipt instead of just dropping off.

You gave me the wrong truck. A smaller one that I ordered. You refused to reduce the charge, the charge for the wrong truck you gave me! You charged me $8 for gas for not filling it up to 3/4 of a tank. I have a picture of the gas gauge from the time I left the uhaul from the initial pickup showing the gas being under 3/4 of a tank. I filled up the tank slightly higher than what it was when I picked up the vehicle and you still charged me extra. When I complained the location said maybe they would be able to talk to the manager and get a discount off my next rental. Oh yes, what a valuable offer. For the next fucking time I move. Very valuable. I can at least confidently say I will never us any UHAUL service again. Never have I received such poor service with no attempt to address all of your ridiculous mistakes. Thanks for making one of the most stressful events in someone's life far, far worse. Congratulations! Such a terrible, terrible experience that at least I can consciously avoid and make sure my friends and family avoid as well in the future. That at least is comforting.

Not fair to inquire due to being dropped off on a Saturday afternoon. But since you did, personal although friendly and helpful were slow. People standing in long lines just want to get in and out. Also their computer system was extremely slow. Took me 40 minutes to drop off a trailer and I never did receive a copy of my printed receipt.

The rep was nice, but I waited almost 30 min while the rep learned how to rent the truck through the computer system, with a line of 10 people behind me. Then he pulled the truck up for me and I noticed the fuel level was on 5/8 and not 7/8 like the contract stated. He initialed my paperwork and said he'd change it but never did because I was charged for ez fuel. I'd like to be reimbursed for the ez fuel since I returned the truck with a little over 5/8.

Someone elses truck was returned under me. They didn't put gas in it either so instead of the $41 I was supposed to be charged, I was charged $86. I immediately went back in and discussed this issue with Micah. He corrected it and recharged me the correct amount. However, the $86 plus my $41 all ended up processing through my bank and now i have to dispute the $86 charge with them.

I called and asked if I should keep the U-Haul longer than 5 hours when I was renting it online. I had never rented U-Haul before so wasn't sure. I was just guessing how long I needed it. They told me it wouldn't be a problem if I needed it longer and to just call that day. I called to let them know I would need it until 6 and was told no. Someone else needed it at 5. We had to rush to get it back by 5. Next time I will know to rent it the entire day so this doesn't happen again. Employees should know that they shouldn't tell people it's not a problem to keep it longer when clearly it is.

My payment was not documented appropriately. When I came into the store to return the truck I was helped and then once it was found out that they did not properly document my payment I had to wait while 6 other customers were helped. I was ignored for over 20 minutes. Customer service was absolutely horrible. It was beyond unorganized and I would NEVER use or recommend Uhaul for anything.
