Very positive experience. I'm glad I chose this U-haul location. My only complaint would be that the truck was not swept out when I picked it up, and there were alot of remnants of plants from whomever used it before me. It was an easy fix for me to get a push broom in there, but wish it had been done prior. Otherwise no issues in the whole process.Bradley B.

Short story: Seems the closers maintain a standard for the crappiest customer service ever. In factâ€” It's completely none existent!! Long story: I had a 6:30 pickup. A gentleman employee walking out of the front door asks if I needed help. I told him I had a reservation to which he responds they're only accepting cash because the credit card systems are down. Now, I found it inconvenient that I was not called since I did not intend on paying cash but I said thanks I would be back. The store closes at 7PM so I had to run to an ATM. By the time I got back we had about 15 minutes before the store closed. The first 5 minutes I waited in the empty lobby. When he finally came in and began checking me in we get to discussion of payment and he then chooses to state there was a $100 deposit for cash payments. Are you kidding me?! I asked why he couldn't tell me that before I left to go get cash to which he insisted he did. Um, sir we stood outside the door for a hot second when you turned me away with your sad news of no cards. No ya DIDNT. By this time it's five minutes to close so I didn't have enough time to get a deposit. I moved my reservation to the next morning and the guy with the fancy cane was there ready to help me out with a smile. Granted he forgot my dollyâ€”which I noticed when I got the rental to where I was moving from but I called and they were happy to note my account so I wouldn't get additional charges. Later that day, after my move I return my truck. I wanted to speak with a rep to verify I wasn't going to get a charge for the dolly since they ran my card before I took it and we just proceeded the move without it. There were two people working. One guy followed me in, took my keys and said I was set. I asked him if he could verify that the dolly situation was squared away and I wouldn't have additional charges on my account. This man sighed and told me the other guy would help and walked into the realm of â€œemployees onlyâ€. Well â€œthe other guyâ€ didn't make his way back into the lobby until about 15 minutes later. By then there were about three other people beside myself are also awaiting service. He says â€œdamn y'all all really waited?â€ One of the people asked if they would be able to get a fill on their propane. This rude employee a ays â€œif you want to wait you can. I might get to it but we're closed in 5 minutes.â€ Moral of the story: Don't go to Burlingame location if you're in the Wyoming area.Ramona J.

I'm sure the situation was that they did not have enough employees working the day after Xmas. There was 1 employee to start - we were in line for almost and hour and a half. We even completed the on-line check in - but it did not make a difference. What is the point behind the on-line check-in if you can't just get what you've rented. Anyway, the poor guy who was left to do the job completely on his own, checking people in and then getting the equipment for each person made for a painful wait. Then another employee came in who apparently was in a car accident the day or two before - he could barely function. We were concerned for his health. It was very unorganized and I felt bad for the employees. But the real issue is the on-line check-in. It would seem to me that if you check-in - the only thing you should have to do is show your id, they print out the paperwork and bam you are on your way. We had difficulty with giving him a contact person - the first one was 'wrong' which made no sense as there was no explanation as to what that meant. Would highly recommend improving on the on-line check-inDaniel R.

System for drop-off was a little confusing, though it appeared only one person was working and it was in fact dark, so I do not blame that on U-Haul or staff. Individual that came out to help (orange beanie and cane) was extremely pleasant and helpful and make the drop-off experience easy and fast.Devon F.

The fella that was working had a bum leg and couldn't get in touch with anyone to come in and help. He was friendly, efficient and was "Taking care of business"!!! The trailer that was reserved for me had issues with the lights. He said to head out pack and we would pick another one. He helped hook it up and sent me on my way. I was concerned that he would get busy and forget to change the contract to a new trailer number. When I called uhaul to make sure I wouldn't have a problem when I dropped it off in Florida and he had already cancelled the previous contract and paperwork was all set. The trailer was in great condition and pulled without a problem. The young lady at uhaul in Florida was friendly and the drip off went well. I was extremely unhappy when I went into the building to pickup the key for the rental truck and the U-Haul employee was not wearing a face covering. The U-Haul did not put a face covering when they got me the key. I will never rent from this location again.Adam S.

I only need until for 2 weeks, and when I went to cancel the man said ok, then I got a bill, call uhaul and they said the would email management. I asked for a copy and was told it was an inter office email so I could not get one. fast forward 30 days and another invoice! As we approached customer service agent at desk, he got up, left and said someone else would be out to help us. 10 min later another agent came out. She wasn't very helpful, told us there wasn't type of trailer on lot to rent that we wanted yet one was right outside the building. Her coworker told her to look on the computer as there was an available trailer. All the while she was waiting on us she was texting on her cellphone. I rented the trailer with my credit card and she told me it wasn't approved yet I'd already gotten a text showing the charges/contract had been sent. She kept staring at her computer nearly voided the contract to start over in order to print the contract. It took 45 min to rent the utility trailer and there was only one other customer in the store. Horrible customer service.Mary P.

I called and talked to someone at corporate and I reserved a 26' van for Saturday at the 500 Grandville location because they didn't have one so I had to go to the Burlingame location. I was also told that they opened at 9 on saturdays and when I showed up I saw they opened at 7. I would have come a lot earlier if I would have known. The people at the burlingame location were very nice and great to work with and got me right out the door in no time.Jeremiah L.

Hire more people. Every time I stop in here, even to pick up boxes or supplies, there is always a wait. Never anyone at the counter and if there is ALWAYS a line to stand in. Waited in line for over 20 minutes to pick up my reservation and didn't exactly know where to leave my return as the line of trucks was out of parking lot.Teri L.

Had made a reservation for a 4x8 trailer a week or so ahead of time. Got there about 5pm and there was a long line with no worker in sight. Eventually two workers showed up, but only one assistant customers, the other was just hanging out behind the desk. The worker helping customers didn't seem to be in a hurry at all and moved as slow as possible. It ended up taking almost an hour before we got our trailer! This seems like an inappropriate amount of time considering all I had left to do was sign for payment and go around back and snap the trailer into my hitch. Also 2 days later when I came to return my rental it was after hours and I had to do my return online. The online system would Not allow me to advance past confirming my location (even though I had my location services on And was connected to the Uhaul guest WiFi). Eventually after trying various different things for a half hour a worker wondered by and gave me another suggestion to try, after that didn't work he ended up quickly checking me in on his device, which I was grateful for! Overall I definitely think this location could use with some updates and fixes to their procedures and technology.JENNA RENAE V.

When I received the pickup truck, the exterior was dirty. I expect to rent a washed vehicle. Upon returning it, I indicated on the mobile check in form that the truck was dirty. U-Haul wanted to charge ME a $25 cleaning fee! I'm not the one that dirtied it...Matthew T.

I was supposed to pick up my truck at the downtown location and it was not ready at my scheduled reservation time. I waited 45 minutes for the truck to be returned before being sent to this location to pick up a truck. When I arrived, they had not been contacted about my truck and had to make it work. I did not receive my dolly or furniture pads due to the mix up. I don't fault this location for that. Overall, very unsatisfied due to waiting and driving all over town to get a truck that was supposed to be â€œguaranteed.â€Maryelizabeth K.

The check in process was fine. After getting a flat 9 mins from our location we had to wait 5 hours for roadside assistance because not only did it take almost an hour to just get a hold of someone they got our location wrong sent after waiting 2.5 hours then had to wait another hour for a guy when the job took less then 5 mins to fix.
