Maybe next time, you're employees shouldn't try to befriend their customers on Facebook. This is highly unprofessional and Perry from the Burnet location should have better judgment to not memorize a customers name to stalk them on social media. I honestly hope someone from the company reaches out and apologizes for this terrible experience.

When I rented the truck, I told them I would be back around 7pm or so & was told that would be Cool & would only pay for 3 days... Dropped it off around 8PM & got billed for an entire extra day.. I rent from that location a few times a year & that has not happened before..

Vehicle trailer axle failed in route. Roadside assistance estimate was 1 1/2 hours without replacement equipment. I had to offload the vehicle from the trailer and have my elderly father drive the Uhaul truck I was driving while I drove the car which was on the trailer the remaining duration of the trip - otherwise I was not going to make it to the destination in time to make my closing appointment on the home we moved into. The failure took place on highway 114, twenty miles south of Gunnison on a very dangerous road with no shoulder and steep drop-offs. After speaking with four individuals with Uhaul (roadside assistance, drop off location, reservation customer service, another customer service rep (William Garza)) ... I still am being charged full price for faulty equipment. I have received a voice mail from Shawn asking me to call back to discuss, which I returned and left a message. I do not understand why this is so difficult. I rented equipment that broke down and left me in a dangerous situation with great inconvenience. Nothing has been done to remediate the fact that I paid for equipment that failed. You owe me ~$380.

the lady who checked me out was rude and absolutely unaccommodating and it appears she lied to me. I was told the furniture pads i paid for were not in the back of the truck as promised......the entire experience with U-Haul in Austin was a nightmare......I asked foe the manager but he never came out or spoke to me ......never again!!!

Though the service was very excellent, with the mechanic being extremely helpful and the cashier being exceptionally kind, the trailer itself ended up being VERY FAULTY AND DANGEROUS. On a cross country trip, we were given a trailer that essentially fell apart on the drive. The right tire, rim, and EVEN THE BEARING flew off the trailer while going along normally, nearly hitting my wife’s car and flying into the woods. Left with only the rod sticking out, we waited 3 hours on the side of the busy highway in 90 degree heat for it to get fixed by roadside. While the folks on the hotline (talked to 3 different for some reason) and the local mechanics were helpful, it’s clear there was a lack of communication internally. This lack of communication is what allows things like this to happen (the folks at the drop-off location had no idea this had happened) and for resolutions to be so slow and dangerous (the mechanics didn’t have any clue what they were coming to fix even though I’d sent pictures and given a detailed description). Clearly, a refund is in order, but more importantly, changes in policy around maintenance, selection (make sure to give the best to cross country drivers), and communication are crucial. While the workers were all doing their best, the system and company is clearly not setting them up to be their best selves, putting renters, other drivers, and human lives at risk.

Trucks should provide a basic lock with them. I know, this request is anti corporate profit philosophy...but see, ur trucks are very basic with roll up windows and no cruise control either. Perhaps, u cud be a bit considerate. But otherwise, the experience was great! Thanks!

The online reservation site is clunky. It kept logging me out and apparently listed a wrong return time. Instore the person who helped me was very nice about fixing it and fortunately was able to still provide a vehicle. Also I have rented from UHaul often and do not recall a hold on my card previously. It was not made clear online (instore it was) when I made the reservation. It was not such a big deal but it could have been if I was on tight budget. What happened to the unlimited mileage in town option? It is really a nuisance to be counting every mile if you have to make a couple of trips. People should also be aware the vans only get 5 miles to a gallon. Otherwise the staff are very friendly and helpful at the Burnett Rd location, which has always been my experience with UHaul.

The rear door to the van would not lock so was unable to store anything it in overnight. Not a big issue for me, but something you should get fixed. Also, the fuel tank was not full when I pick it up. I filled it completely upon return but more care in ensuring fuel level at pickup would be appreciated.

Please double check the mileage before submitting invoices. Hear your customers out as they explain when something is wrong. I'm out 3 times what I should have paid for at least 3 days because of error on your part. This is an expensive honest mistake.

Awesome team and service! Great quality! I'm a returning customer to this location (and more of my friends) and we have been always super satisfied with the service we got here. The whole uhaul.com site was down, but I could still get my truck which was a bigger one for the same price! I did not have the time to re-fill with gas but the charging was way much better than I expected. These guys rock, thank you so much!

I gave an Excellent rating due to the nice ladies in the store and also, this location is very convenient and well organized making our moving experience just a little bit easier. Although, the computers were really slow and they finally had to hand write our receipt. They offered us coffee while we waited and made sure we had cream and sugar. Very pleased with the service there!

My Uhaul reservation was supposed to be at the Research Blvd location . I called 3 times to confirm ! After standing in line for 30 min at the location I had reserved , I was told no that I would have to go to Burnet Rd . Location . The Reaserch location was a big mess , there were 3 employees . 2 men & 1 woman . The female was the only one getting anything done & had a great attitude ! The two guys were lazy ,slow & rude . Once we got to the Burnet Rd store it was run much better & seemed to all work as a team ! All in all disappointed & took an hour to get our truck .

The young man that checked me out was nice but gave me the wrong trailer under the wrong name even after I corrected him about the vehicle I was using to tow the trailer. I was then double billed for the rental. I also had to go back to get the furniture dolly that I had reserved but he failed to give me.

We were early. Truck was ready so when I walked away from the service desk, it was right at the door! The young man who helped me was great, answering all our questions politely and with smiles! In fact the whole area seemed to enjoy working together! I have not had such great service at a U-Haul center so would gladly recommend them.

Started out rough with the first location calling the day before to let us know they would not be opening until 10:30am on our pickup day so we had to make arrangements with the North 183 location. When we arrived there.. they had no RV available unlike what we had been told by uhaul scheduling on the phone. They called the Burnet Road location before we drove to make sure one was available. It was and we picked it up with no additional problems.

I've used the online check-in service several times and appreciate everything about it, except two things: 1, skipping the line never really works. The clerk this time was attentive and cool about it, but I've had to have too many conversations with irritated people in line yelling at me for cutting, who sometimes have also used the online checkin service but weren't prompted to skip the line? Not sure what's going on there. and 2, having to re-submit my driver's license and headshot each time and have it go through the review process, even though none of that info has changed and I'm logged into my account, is tedious and stressful when I'm trying to get a truck quick. Granted, the whole process is reasonably fast, and the ability to rent a truck without notice is awesome, but that seems like an unnecessary pain point to me. Thanks for the service in general, I stan Uhaul hard, you do a great job

The dimensions of the 4x8 trailer, inside door width is incorrect on your website. It caused me to mistakenly reserve a larger trailer. Otherwise, everything was good.

I have visited other Uhaul locations in Austin North. The one at Burnet Road is the best. The back of the truck wasn't clean, but as soon as I let one of the employees know, he came over, and happily cleaned it for me. I will keep using Uhaul services, and will recommend to my friends as well.

Very old facility. Interior storage unit hallways were tight and difficult to get anything of size in to the unit. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly though.

Everything was great until I had 3 large boxes full of mouse droppings and things chewed upon of which there was no food stored in the storage room . Such an awful feeling not to know what was clean!
