I got to the U Haul location near UT Austin and they didn’t have the van I had ordered due to an issue they had with a costumer so they offered me a pick up truck, which would be too small for my move and require multiple trips to move plus a $261 down payment that the website never mentioned. They instead offered me a 10 footer which my friend and i didn’t feel comfortable driving, which is why we chose the van. We ended up paying for the 10’ with a $100 down payment that still hasn’t been refunded and was not mentioned at all on the website. I showed up ready to pay the $78 the online reservation had given me. I was so disappointed with the service. Then I show up to the UHaul location on Burnet Rd and the employees are the rudest ever and talking down to me for not knowing the difference between reservation and having a prepaid locker. I then get to the locker and i’m on the second floor with no elevator, which i wasn’t told about either and the place is not climate controlled, especially the locker, it was hotter in it than outside. So I had to manually move my things up the locker with no AC in the unit as yall said on the website. Also the U Hahl place near the school told us we had to get back before 5 or we would get charged more although they didn’t have the van and only gave me 3 hours to move because of they mistakes rather than the 4 that i reserved. I drop off the vehicle and i’m charged another $98 for it which i also wasn’t told about. On the website it said I would pay $78 including the day fee and the miles, but instead i paid $200. I do not have that kind of money. I was charged twice for the $19.95 fee and the miles. I was lied to the entire time time but I was on a time crunch so I had to move my stuff and the staff was so unhelpful and kept telling me $100 were nothing because it was just “a safety charge so you don’t steal the vehicle” but i still don’t have that money back after a week and my stuff is on a second level with no AC in the heat and I paid in total almost $300 for all this when I’m a working first generation college student trying to get easiest, smoothest, and cheapest experience. But i didn’t. After I move out I will never do business with U-haul again or recommend it to anyone, especially students. yall were not clear or communicative with me and didn’t not prepare me for all the charges and trouble I was going to experience. And the entire time the staff is frustrated and upset with me when it was there issue and then didn’t even try to offer any accommodation because of it. All i got was threats about when I had to deliver if not I was going to be charged more.

DAVID J | Overall ExperienceI WENT IN AROUND 8PM TO GET SOME ITEMS FROM MY STORAGE BUILDING. I WAS IN A TRUCK PULLING A 12 FT TRAILER. THERE WAS VERY LIL ROOM BCUZ THERE WERE UHAUL TRUCKS PARKED ALL AROUND THE SIDES AND FRONT OF THE FACILTY. THE PROBLEM WAS WHEN I WENT TO LEAVE. THERE WAS VERY LIL ROOM TO GET OUT. I GOT STUCK.. I HAD TO GO BACK..PULL FORWARD..GO BACK SEVERAL TIMES TO BE SURE MY TRAILER FENDERS DIDNT HIT THE BUILDING. MEANWHILE HAD TO BE SURE NOT TO HIT THE TRUCKS. IT WAS A MESS AND A BAD IDEA TO PARK THE TRUCKS NEAR THE STORAGE UNITS. IT TOOK 20 MINUTES TO MANUEVER THROUGH THERE! PLEASE ADDRESS THIS
