This last rental was much more pleasant than previous experiences mostly because the location seemed woefully understaffed in the past and so the wait times coming and going were long. Overall, the web-based reservation system is improving, but I was annoyed that I had to call to make changes later - you should be able to edit your reservation up to a certain point.

I had reservations at one facility in Redwood City California and arrived to be denied because the trailer wasn’t there. I was redirected to the San Francisco U-Haul center and had to wait 2hours even though I did the pre- Reservation after being directed there. I bit of a inconvenient experience which delayed me approximately four hours when I needed to be on the road. Not to mention what I spent on gas to be redirected, just saying.

Not pleased at all. We came to the location to drop off our trailer at approx. 5:20pm. We called ahead to ask if we could drop off after hours and they told us that we could. Upon arrival, we were turned away and told that we couldn’t drop it off. After arguing with the employee for a few minutes, he said he would talk to his manager and ask. After sneaking off and secretly having a conversation with his manager, he came back to me and suggested that BRIBERY would be the only way that they would take our trailer back. He said “we can’t do anything to help you, but if you can give me a big tip, I’m sure I could let you drop it off”. He was incompetent and unprofessional. This was all within 20 minutes of the store closing as well. Since we had no other choice, he told us to just leave the trailer in the public parking lot. He sat there and watched us unhitch it and move it into a spot on our own and pretended as if it wasn’t his job because it was after hours. As we pulled away, he smirked and turned around, and then continued to do the same thing to another customer who had pulled up to drop their truck off. I will never use this location again.

No communication about a change in my reservation - 'someone should've called you' - referring to the change in my reservation. I showed up and the trailer wasn't ready. In general apathy amongst the employees is the feeling each time I visit to rent a trailer.

It took over an hr to get to the counter. There were only 5 parties in front of me but this location only had two representatives on a very busy day. I suggest that this location consider more reps.

The U-Haul 24/7 website did not work, however I appreciated the help I received from the counter service. One thing I did have to mention was there was only 1 person at the desk. There was a large line. 2nd helped didn’t come in until half hour after opening and took her time eating her breakfast and drinking coffee. It was kinda rude.

Took a while to get a unit - confusion on sizes Was told a 4x7x8 - reserved it and it couldn’t even fit a mattress in there. Pricing also changed numerous times from initial $84 to $94 to $149

Overall great. A couple of small negatives were that the local support was not well versed with Ubox, but the on phone staff were very helpful. Also, there was a screw up with credit card billing.

It took 1 hour to go up stairs and come back. Elevator is a big problem. Everytime I use, I had to wait half an hour. I will not use it again.

The average rating is because of the elevator, it should be stressed personally to all customers CLOSE ELEVATOR DOORS, that makes for a very long and costly day where you don't can't finish moving.
