I left my cell phone locked in the truck I rented. As I had locked it up and the facility was closed, I sent an email shortly after and also made phone calls as soon as the facility opened this morning. I was told there was no phone in the truck. I know this was not the case. I even offered a reward for the return of my phone. I respected the property of uhaul however it appears that my property was not respected. I am a good and long time customer of uhaul. Someone has gone to the trouble of charging the phone and when I called it they answered but would not speak. This phone has sentimental irreplaceable information on it.

The app malfunctioned several times. The crew at this location was on top of it, especially the ladies at the front desk, who moved quickly and surely to fix the problems the app was creating through no fault of theirs. They made it a great experience.

Mileage and fuel were not accurate to rental at time of pickup. Individual who got the truck for me stated he had made note of the difference when he gave me the key. Upon return the workers couldn't find any of the changes. This delayed me being able to return the truck promptly.

Location and time was changed last minute very inconvenient and delayed my move incurring me HOA penalties and hassles for me and my incoming tenant. Poor customer service - multiple calls required and long waits. Phone support was unable to answer my questions regarding hydraulic brakes and on-site staff was not knowledgeable about insurance. Charged a SF healthcare fee. Unclear where to go to pick up trailer within facility. Had to search for and flag down an attendant to get hooked up causing further delays. Equipment is old, dirty and beat up. Not at all what was expected and completely unacceptable.

Tow dolly was not operational when I picked it up. Chain was twisted. I needed Dolly’s and blankets for packing and wasn’t up-sold on them. Lots of swearing by staff was overheard. Passive aggressive staff. Poor communication. Best of luck remedying these problems.

My buddy and I listened to country/rock music while yelling out “where’s my trucker hat” out the windows. 10/10, would rent U-Haul truck just for the sake of driving a truck.

Only issue I had was that it was so far away to pick it up from where I live across the Bay. Didn't know that end of the month weekends are more difficult to find equipment.

There was water in the green blanket holder. The blankets are pain in the ass to carry and load to the truck that's 30ft away. Why can't they be stored elsewhere and be pre loaded, before getting the truck out, or have them stirred at the customer's waiting/truck pick up area? It's terrible logistics. Here's the good the check in crew showed up within 5-10min. Please sort out the blanket loading logistics better.

I rented a 15’ thuck, and was reassured by the sales person that the flat of the bed, from the back wall to the door was 13’. I had 12.5’ building materials I needed to move with the truck. I drove it 1.5 miles to my loading location, at which point I learned that the truck had a 11’11” bed, and would not fit what I was moving. I went back to exchange it, but was told that since it took me 40 minutes before I made it back to the counter, I had to pay for the rental, then rent a different longer truck. I was very dissatisfied with the lack of willingness to exchange, especially after being misinformed about the truck dimesnsions. The sales associate told me he’d email me a $50 VIP coupon, and give me a follow up call. Neither of these happened.
