Truck was totally empty of gasoline while the contract said it would have at least quarter of tank. Rather then focusing on my task, I had to run to the nearest gas station, delaying my plans from the time I got the truck.

Our truck broke down multiple times during our rental. We were asked to bring back the truck and we asked why they said someone else had a reservation for it and that we had to trade. The next day they called again saying that there was maintenance needed on the truck. They should have told me the truth from the beginning. Then once the truck was back, the manager was not helpful AT ALL and he had to investigate the situation. It was dangerous of them to provide a broken truck and then lie about it.

I’ve rented from this location multiple times and the staff is always so apathetic and unmotivated. This location has the only trailer for my needs, so I have to go here, but I dresd it everytime. I’ve never gotten in and out in less than an hour, and the staff in the lot seem to almost purposefully drag their feet. It’s a terribly run location from a customer interface point of view. Management needs to change here.

The lines were long and slow, but the people are very helpful. There was no one outside when I went to go hand them my key and it was pouring, so I had to run back inside to make sure they had called someone. Turns out he was hiding from the rain too and couldn't see me. Very nice people and do a good job making the process go smoothly. But I think the process itself could be refined.

The online express check in is horrible. I was asked to take a picture of myself 3 times and the back of my id 2 times. I provided 2 phone numbers and they would not let me proceed because one of them would not answer there phone. The live customer service agents were much faster and personablethan the express check in agents. I give the live agents at the location a 10 and the express check in a 2

Had to wait for 1/2 hour to be served. It meant I was paying my driver who was on the clock. I had requested van at 3:15 and did not get cleared until after 3:45. We had to drive 1.6 miles there and back and waz told we would be charged $10 for gas! After I told the person on receiving he took the charge off after saying we had the van for less than an hour and the mileage we had done. Otherwise O would be very disgruntled.

I ordered the truck online. When I got there, the employee told me that I need to pickup he truck using the online sign in. I have spent over 30 minutes figure how for the online system is so confusing and asking for too many steps. This created really terrible experience for me. When I finally gave up, the employee then helped me to process my order at the counter. Why couldn't the employee helped me to start with? I have wasted over 30 minutes to just pickup the truck. And your online pickup process is way too cumbersome. That's why I gave average rating.

I initially had the pickup at Park Merced. I went through all the process through the app and made the payment. When the app told me to go into the store to receive the key, there was an associate standing in front of the store and told me she locked the keys inside and will not be able to enter the store until hours later. Her attitude was unprofessional and just told us to go to the Bay Shore location without any explanation. We then had to pay extra for an Uber ride to the Bay Shore location and since this situation was not relayed, the Bay Shore associates had no idea what I was talking about. They ended up doing a walk in reservation which led to my being charged twice: once for Park Merced location and once for Bay Shore location. At the end, we wasted $20 on our Uber and also an hour lost which led to bad traffic. I will be also calling customer service for this matter.

I realize nobody wants to work, in the bay area, for less than a tech executive's salary and your company is at the mercy of who you can get but your staff is rude and amongst the worst. This U-Haul experience was horrible from end to end whenever it came to dealing with a live person whether on phone or in person. But the staff here was especially lazy and rude and it feel even more offensive when live people act like this in front of your very eyes.

The truck was lost after I turned it in after hours, and I was bothered every day with messaged about how my "rental was overdue". Until I called for the third time and the staff found it, parked in the their lot. How you misplace a 10' box truck, I do not know, but I am not impressed.
