On the last week of storage facilitie, I was so disappointed with your staff, I understand they were busy but to be treated with disrespect is not what I expected after I spend over 10,000 dollars with the company, just a tad respect would have been nice, so I would not recommend anyone to your facility ever! Your employees need to be trained with customer service skills!!!

the one thing that could be improved is for the 1-800 team. don't tell a customer they can go down to what essentially is "the hood" at 2:00am and retrieve a vehicle! However the local location managed to bring me past the faux pas with their great customer service, espially the mgr, his lead Debbie and the especially helpful and funny african american sister at the front counter who helped me forget about the bad initial experience with her smile.

On a Saturday there was only 1-person working the counter for the first 10 minutes of my wait and then a second person opened up another window. I had to wait 20 minutes and when I walked in the door there was only ONE person in front of me and one at the window...

The app rental return feature is completely broken, at least at this location, from what I can tell. I tried returning the van here after hours and the app didn't work at all. That's the second time it's happened here. If not for me returning the van being caught on their security cameras, they might not have been able to confirm that I had returned it all. Awful service. They also rented me a van that had an empty gas tank (not half full as the rental contract indicated), and the van was a display model from the front of the lot, meaning and I had to take down an advertisement covering the whole windshield. Lastly, the van needed an oil change, and this alert covered the odometer, making it impossible to know how many miles I had driven. The employees were very nice, but so much about this location was frustrating that I can't give it a good review.

I've been using uhaul for years to move into and around San Francisco. I remember when you first implemented the online check-in/check out system and I have to admit, it left something to be desired at the beginning. It appeared to take longer than in person check-in and still required human interaction from someone at a call center. Now, the experience is incredibly easy and fast and soooo automated. Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart congratulations on all the improvements and for making people's lives that much better! Moving is never fun but you have been the one bright spot in this whole journey!

Rented a truck on empty returned it with 10 dollars of gas and was charged another 20 because I did not check how much they wrote on the contract where it said I picked it up on 1/2 tank (false). I also rented a dolly and when I opened the van at home the dolly wasn't there. Very disorganized location, stay away.

This office called me this morning at 7:30-8am about where I put the key. I locked the keys in the truck for my return last night - the key is above the driver-side sun flap. I haven't received a call since 8 am so I hope they found it!

The overall experience was good. Renting a truck wasn't as straightforward, I was sent to a farther away location not very convenient for me; the website said there were many vans available, but when I arrived I was told they were all booked and I had to call 1(800) U-Haul to find a location that had one. This only added to my mileage expense which otherwise would have been cut in half. The price and convenience of the service is phenomenal, the state of the van was good, the service desk and overall service has room for improvement. I wasn't really helped much to find what I needed, and I spent considerable time trying to get the truck I wanted. The fact that you can't see the availability of other trucks in different locations once you visit a store, and have to call the 1(800) instead, is something that definitely needs to be addressed.

I spent over 1.5hrs getting the truck that I reserved online for 24/7 pick up. The cashier also told me initially that I could leave my car there and come pick it back up after hours if I called a certain number that went to the General Manager. I came back around 7pm pt but the gates were closed. I called the number but the GM did not pick up. I left a voicemail. (I still haven't heard back.) I then saw that there were people working inside and asked if I could be let in to get my car. I was informed that I had been misinformed and would need to Lyft all the way back to Menlo Park. There was one person working there who took my information and said that he would let them know because he felt really bad about my negative experience. Anyway, for the record, the commute to go from MP to to the Uhaul center, back to MP, and then back to the Uhaul center before being able to move my car cost $150. And I still haven't been offered by the GM to be reimbursed for the incident -- which quite frankly is because one of the employees told me incorrect information. In addition, there were multiple homeless people in the area and I didn't appreciate that I was left outside of the gate while waiting for the lyft to pick me back up.

Reserved and checked in online, saved me no time. Person helping me walked around without a mask for a lot of the time. He was very distracted - half with other work issues, half with chatting with co-workers. Took 10-12 minutes to check me out. Charged me for insurance even though I declined online. He also didn't explain where to get my trailer well, and I had to be helped by someone else. Guy in the yard was busy, but hustled and was polite. Took me an hour from the time I pulled in, to when I left.

They charged me for gas even though it was exactly where it should have been. While we are on that subject, an 1/8th of a tank of gas is not nearly enough with those big trucks. Attendants were non existent as i was instructed to retrieve my truck from row S. Easy enough except there were 2 trucks in front of mine. Took 15 minutes to get the trucks moved so I could leave.

The wait at customer pick up in office is very very very slow. Only 1 or 2 peoples were there, not enough for the long lines. Also, upon pick up and drop of, it is not clear where to go or what to do. No one ever showed up, had to go to counter (long line). No clear signage about what to do or where to do outside. Actual equipment was great, no problems. Need to hire more people, can be frustrating waiting and very slow.

The equipment was clean but the alignment was pulling to the right. When I made a turn at low speed it almost went very close to the guard rail near hospital curve. And when driving a straight line it pulled right as well. Other than that the vehicle served its purpose.

The customer service here is terrible. I will stick to Belmont Uhual or Rob Bakers in Millbrae. Trying to get someone to help me was ridiculous. I spent 45 min walking back and forth, 7 times! trying to get someone to help me with an adjustment on my receipt. I finally told the girl behind the counter that i wasn't going to keep walking back and forth, I was pretty upset at this piont. I, as a customer shouldn't be bounced back and forth to different employees becuase everybody's too busy to help me! I told her she needed to find someone who could help me. That it wasn't my job to go fetch someone. She gave me an attitude at this piont which was totally unprofessional. I had valid reason to be upset. I'm a paying customer! What ever happened to good customer service! A happy customer is a returning customer. The girl parking the trucks outside was very sweet but the one inside behind the counter, was terrible. Did I give her an attitude? Sure did. Was it valid? Absolutely. Was her negative attitude and negative tone appropriate? Never. I know. I'm in customer service too! Im a bus driver I gotta deal with all kinds of people. She told me well you're just gonna have to wait becuase i can't help you right now, see that blue line over there? You need to stand behind it until I'm done with this other customer. What other customer? The guy still looking at boxes?? There was nobody in there but me and another guy looking at boxes! It's too much detail to write and I'm getting upset all over again typing this out. Long story short, some guy ended up helping me after 45 minutes of walking back an forth. He was behind the counter helping out the rude one. I waited patiently in line ( there was a line this time ) and fortunately I got him and not the rude one. He adjusted my receipt in like 2 minutes. 2 minutes. Let me say that one more time. 2 minutes. All of that back and forth for what could have been done in 2 minutes becuase according to the rude one she couldn't do it. Only the person outside could do it for me! What a bonehead. Train your staff so they know what there talking about next time instead of wasting my time!

Yesterday I picked up a truck that had no gas in it, I was told to go ahead to the gas station right away. I left the lot and went directly to get gas. At the gas station, gas poured out underneath the truck when I pumped. The gas tank had been stolen the night before. I drove the truck back picked up another truck. I was running late and did not submit another photo for the second truck I rented. I dropped the truck later on and was charged for a gallon and half of gas and a 25.00 cleaning fee. I use u haul often and am sure to thoroughly sweep out the truck. I called into Uhaul today and was told to go back into the location I rented from, I have limited free time as was wondering if I could be refunded for the gallon and half of gas and the 25.00 cleaning fee. I was requested another location but was sent here because they didn't have the truck I needed. It was a very unsafe location and didn't have parking for customers. We had to get our own truck at the back of the lot. The price I paid was $35 over my initial quote because of the extra distance I had to drive.

Try harder not to have my credit card skimmed. Before I left the lot someone made a phone call to fraudulently charge on my credit card. This was the only place the card had been used in a month and I scratched out the 3 #s on the back so it had to have been from a skimmer on your machines because they knew the code.

Everything went well. Did have a problem with my reservation but it was handle in a proper way and as a customer I was satisfied. The only problem I did have after leaving the place was that the lights on the trailer were not working. Driving at night the lights did not turn on. I yet to hear from the general manager to dispute the problem I had because I had to rent it for 2 days and only needed it for 1 day.

My experience here was not pleasant. Right when i get there, there was no line and there were two workers in he front desk. Both of them were on there phones and chit chatting with one another. One worker called me and said i can help you, and as soon as she calls me over she gets on her phone and looks down. I stood in front of her for a good 2 minutes as she continues to chit chat with her coworker. When i spoke up and asked her if she would help me, her response was "Oh I forgot i called you, i didnt see you there" and then laughed with her coworker. I dont know if these ladies just dont want to work, if thats the case then maybe find another job.

I have been here between 5-10 years. The past couple of years I have always found it clean. Obviously there is trash that appears all of a sudden but I have noticed either someone cleans it up while on their regular rounds or someone is sent up to clean it. Very well run storage property. In my two years of having a storage unit at this location I can say that all services rendered and provided were done so in a professional manner. Never had any issues in getting to and from my storage unit. Staff were always helpful they get a 10/10. If carts weren’t easily available, a hand truck was provided as an alternative.

This was the worst experience I've ever had hands down and you better believe this won't be the only place I'm reaching out about it. every review channel every phone number you have... expect to hear from me. After being told my the van company that we could only have the van till 5 even tho we rented it for the day because "other people needed it" our movers were then 2 hours late (booked by UHaul) and when we got to your "facility" we are told the unit size we reserved not only isn't available but doesn't exist. at which point the dude who was "helping us" called over Wendy who obviously couldn't care less about what was happening even though I had 2 movers waiting that had already completely unloaded our van and STILL she wanted to make us go to the Bryant location to get a Ubox from them instead. The most mismanaged badly run facility i've ever seen. While i was there i heard 2 other people have meltdowns because you guys ruined their reservations and took payment for services you could not provide. whoever the GM is, expect to be hearing from me. I had to pay my movers an extra $120 to stay another hour since this dumpster fire of a situation took up an hour of the time they were supposed to be moving my stuff into the unit. On top of this nightmare the one locker available was at the top of a pully ladder stacked ontop of another unit. AND IT'S $40+ MORE THAN WHAT I RESERVED ONLINE. I expect this price match to be met after this hellfire saga. I have to say the mismanagement of this location is a joke. Your employees are working class people that don't deserve the abuse they get from their customers because of how badly your management runs this location. FIRE HIM.

Elevators out of order. Rodent eating my furniture. No supervision of other customers, not even a guideline, so once I came upon a man clipping his toenails in the aisle. Another time, a customer took every single cart and the staff would do nothing about it. One of my cards never worked, and one of the latches was so warped it took 15 minutes to be locked.

I waited for a very long time for the sole staff available (20 min). I had rented an 8x8x8 storage. She had to unlock the storage first, yet she chose to take care of the next client. After waiting for an additional 10 min, we proceeded to my storage unit. I discovered that a quarter of the unit was occupied by a very large column (2.5 x 3). She mentioned she knew about it and almost insinuated that I should have known; she insisted that it was an 8x8x8. The unit was useless to me as I needed to place 2 large items (a couch and an erg machine). She refused to upgrade me. She refused to help out finding an alternate facility. I eventually had to drive close to 30 miles away to be able to store my items. A terrible experience unlike the one at the Oakland Coliseum's. I will never rent from the Bayshore location ever again.

It’s a terrible facility run by rude and unprofessional people. The employees were always slow and inefficient. There are way to homeless and unstable people lurking around and loitering, so much so that I never felt safe. I moved to another facility nearby and am paying nearly double in order to not have to deal with your facility and employees anymore.
