Gas was well below 1/4 tank (listed on contract) when I got it. I brought it back with 48 miles on it after putting 8 gallons in. Still not 1/4 tank and I don't believe I got a $25.00 discount. 48 miles is not 8 gallons of gas, I took a picture of the empty gas tank when I picked it up and showed the person the photo and asked to make sure I would get the promised 25 credit. Make sure the windows are up before you get 4 inches of snow. Have the gas tank full so the renter doesn't have to stop before destination. Have truck parked so renter doesn't have to walk back and ask somebody to move the other vehicles.STEVEN LESLIE J.

Truck I rented reeked of cigarette smoke and was quite dirty on the inside. I only needed the truck for like 40 minutes to move a sectional couch ... I'm glad I didn't need to spend longer inside the cab because it smelled so bad!ROBIN ANDREW L.
When I show up at a location where I reserved a truck I expect to be able to pick up the truck at that site. Don't change the reservation without notifying me. I had texts I had emails mails from uhaul cofirming my original reservation on LOWELL Michigan, not GRAND RAPIDS. My reservation was changed and I didn't have any communication from uhaul Is stating that it had been moved to another location, 18 miles away, on snowing wet roads. I understand that all businesses are busy. And I can understand longer lines or waiting on the phone longer. But I dont understand how you can change the plans impacting my ENTIRE day, without notifying me. I was at the Lowell location before they opened. I could have been driving to Grand Rapids during that time. My help for loading had to wait for me because of the delay and we didnt get as much done as planned. I requested a moving truck at a specific location, closest to me, yet my pick-up and drop off location was switched. I wasn't given another potential plan prior to the day I needed the truck, so I ended up paying more than planned (since this location was further and you have to pay per mile). I have rented from UHAUL for many years. My experiences have been positive. This last rental revealed a concern. My whole trip was only 10 miles. Before I retuned the truck, I put in $5.00 in gas or 1.7 gallons. When I looked at the invoice, I was charged for 2 gallons of gas or $8.00. I quite sure this truck did not use $13.00 of fuel for 10 miles. It would be helpful and fair if the trucks were always full of fuel and returned with a full tank. This would allow an accurate accounting of the amount of fuel used. I work for the VA and we always have to return the government vehicles with full tanks.Stephen D.

The location was fine. Your web site sucks and so does your remote 24 hour pick-up system. Nowhere was I told to go to the front of the location to get my key. Clicking the link regarding not being able to access the equipment only selected a new truck, it did not explain where to get the key. I had to wait in line for 45 minutes because the location was busy, not the fault of the employees. Was told my truck still needed to be returned at the same time but I had spent almost an hour of my renal time trying to pick up the truck. I realized later the â€œkeyâ€ code was present at the beginning of the process but never said where to get the key from; they explained that in the office after I had waited in line for almost an hour. Truck provided for a 400 mile round trip was not terribly road worthy... with 175,000 miles we could not hear ourselves think inside the cab. Sounded like the front end suspension was due for an overhaul. The truck looked like it came back from a construction site... very dusty, crusty storage floor and mud caked in the wheel wells. I was hoping as a longer haul and return round trip that a newer truck would be offered. Very disappointed. JohnJohn Z.

For starters, I moved on 10/26. There's no reason for charges to come out 1 week later (because someone didn't know how to do their job). Secondly, the lady with the shave head needs more training since she messed up my account and absolutely doesn't know what she was doing the 3 times I interacted with her. How do you change someone's name on their own account to someone else's name? Why did she tell me my storage was canceled, and I find out the next day that it never was, couldn't call to cancel it myself because she changed the name on the account without me asking or telling her to (so "legally" it wasn't my account), had to wait over 1 week for the manager to approve my online move out request that should've already been canceled like the lady said it was. I don't care to say much more outside of my entire experience being below poor. I would never use the uhaul on Eastbrook, and training should be a main priority for the new staff there and any prospective new staff! The staff was friendly but not helpful.
