I really appreciated how efficient the whole process was to rent a 10' truck for a short period of time so quickly. I even called to change pick up locations, from one that was closer to my house to one that was closer to where I needed to pick up the freight I needed to pick up from one airline's cargo warehouse and deliver to another's aircraft maintenance hangar. I'm a courier, and this was a time-sensitive recovery and delivery that my company was contracted to complete, and I quickly realized that the van I was using would not accommodate the large wooden box containing an aircraft part. I was able to quickly place a phone call and make a reservation, call back and change pickup locations, and then get to the new location where they had the van ready and waiting for me by the time I completed the check-in process. Everything happened quickly and efficiently, including the vehicle walk-around, which I easily and conveniently completed on my smartphone. The efficiency of the entire process allowed me to complete my job within the allotted window of time, and my company was incredibly grateful that I was able to do so, which kept them from needing to sub-contract the job to another courier company, which would've eliminated my company's profit. We were quoted a lower per mileage rate, but were charged more. We told the man that checked us out that we could pick up one truck now and one truck in an hour. We paid for both and went out to go. He told us we had to take both right then because we paid for both. When we reminded him that we could only take one, he said that is the policy and walked away. This caused us to have to rearrange our morning. While the trucks were clean, driving them was not smooth. I almost pulled over because the whole front end was shaking so bad. We have had much better experiences with uhaul in the past.

My experience with the men that work off the location at 40th, were impeccable! Very helpful and made you feel very welcome, even though they were very busy. All I can say is well done!!! I was in a time of need and crazy, they made things so smooth for me!!!

This dealer cheated us on the gas included in the truck. The indicated amount on the check out sheet was not indicative of the actual amount in the truck. The representative was not reasonable and was not interested in customer service. He accused me of altering the photo I had taken of the gas gauge. I will never work with this dealer again, and further, I will discourage anyone I know from using this dealer! Very Unpleasant Experience!!

The only thing I was not happy about is when you rent a the pick up truck a credit card was required to hold it. If you don't have a credit it puts you in a jam to find someone with a credit card that you can use.

Have the correct size on the trailer. A 5×9 is actually a 4.5 × 9. Very difficult moving something that is 5ft wide when the trailer is not 5ft wide.

Renting a truck for moving is a very stressful time. The employees at this location, however, took a huge amount of my worries away!! They went above and beyond in their duties as customer service representative!! I will highly recommend this location to everyone!! When I pick up the the truck it only had 1/4 of gas so I worried I was gonna run out of gas. I ended up putting more gas in the truck than what I started with. Next the bed of the truck was full of snow I had to deliver the tables and chairs back to the place I rented it from full of school

My reservation was not available when I arrived at 230pm. It was scheduled for 2pm. Had to get a larger truck that was too big for me to manage but had no other option. Called to get help and waited on hold 55 minutes because the door got jammed up too and would not come down with a loaded truck. Had to call family for help instead. Poor service area at location and could not use mobile return. Called customer service and was again on hold over 50 minutes to report the return and then was told I had to be transferred to report the issue with the truck but got disconnected. Made a formal report today. DISGUSTED overall

I spent 25 minutes trying to return your van while in the parking lot. After a couple phone calls someone finally answered your phone. After several attempts to photo n check in cargo van I was told to just call office in morning. It’s 7:20am n I tried. No one answered. I got a customer service rep named Kay n she stated that there was only 1 employee there n was probably too busy. I left a lengthy messege as I am trying to do what you need so that I don’t have to pay your ‘convenience fee’ of $20. I just boarded a plane now n hopefully do not have to pay this fee. My observations are this: you treat me like I’m trying to steal your equipment. You took pics of my license n treat me like you think I’m trying to steal your equipment Your having your clients check in equipment because either you do not employ capable employees or As Kay said “you want accurate check ins in case of theft or damage to your equipment while in the parking lot...... Seems you have a severe problem with security at this location. By the way, I have rented at least 20 times in last 5 years from your location but after this torture n waste of time I do not believe I want to experience this again. Waste of my time n still continuing because nobody answered your phone at office...... Very disappointed customer.... hopefully I do not have to pay your $20 “convenience fee”!!!!

The scheduling was a nightmare. My truck pickup location was changed with poor notice given. I also had to change my pickup time due to a truck not being available. I was offered no discount or options suitable. I will not recommend to friends.

I reserved a 20’ truck two weeks before my move. The truck was located in my town of Brighton. The day before pick up I was told the truck was not available at my location and directed to drive to Layfayette, 25 minutes away. The Lafayette location is a complete joke. I was frankly shocked that this backroad, oversized outhouse is a UHaul location. Whoever decided that this place should hold a national brand must really need the money. If you do ever choose to visit, may I advise you to bring a tank to negotiate the road. Literally the worst road I’ve ever driven. If I were to leave my car there (as advised) and come back to load it on the trailer after loading the truck I am certain that the contents of the truck would be destroyed. At any rate, that wasn’t an issue because there was no truck. Apparently the previous renter decided to pay $40 to keep it an extra day. A phone call would have saved me that hour’s drive and gas. As I drove home, a UHaul representative called to offer me two-15’ foot trucks for the same price. WHAT A FANTASTIC SOLUTION! I just need to find someone that’s got a few days to drive one way to Boise. Maybe I could just fly them home afterwards?! Oh ya, and I could pay double for gas too. Thanks so much! I gotta wonder what corporate solutions team came up with that idea. When I got home I called every other company I could find, only to be told nothing was available. In desperation (and with my UHaul supplied , hourly movers waiting), I called to rent the next size truck available. A very nice woman advised me I could drive 45 minutes to Denver and get a 15’ truck. With no other option, I agreed. The guys at the Denver location were all very nice and helpful. The district manager happened to be there and after trying everything in the system to lower my price to compensate me for the problems, he told me he would have to start all over and advised he gave me $250 off. That would at least help with the hourly movers sitting at my house (as it turns out, mover, as only one showed up). The DM left and turned over finishing my check out. When he was done, (after 45 minutes) the price was no different than before with a larger truck. ???????????????? After more effort, Alonzo, the store manager was able to get the price down, but I really don’t know by how much because by then I just needed to go. The truck had a quarter tank of gas. Awesome. Finally, two hours later than I started, I drove back the 45 minutes home. I finally got it loaded (less the things that didn’t fit in the smaller truck, thanks) and drove to Costco to buy gas. The windshield was a mess so I tried to find a sponge/squeegee but they don’t have them. ??????? They suggested I buy their gas and ‘go somewhere else’ to clean the windshield. Awesome. There was no washer fluid in the truck and the wipers were shredded. Needless to say, I finally got on the road three hours late after driving 26 miles round trip t

This location was great at getting me a U-Haul, due to some complications at another pick up site they cancelled my reservation without notifying me and without telling me that the location of the reservation would change. I was able to go to this location to sort out the mess that was created and they did a great job. Next time don't cancel reservations without telling the customer, but 5 stars to the workers at this location for fixing it.

I went in thinking I was going to get extra fee charged up the ass but uhaul was the most upfront honest company that I had dealt with all day. Out of a very horrible day they at least made one thing in my day go amazingly smooth. If every place had employees as dedicated to their job and customer service as this location I feel uhaul would have alot better reputation.

I wasn't given a good explanation by the customer rep who received the return of the truck about how much fuel I was to refill being the first time of me using Uhall. He advised me to top up 7 gallons of fuel which gave the truck a full tank which wasn't the case when I actually got the truck. When I asked whether I get a refund since it was full tank he told me no. I thought this was a missed opportunity on the part of customer service. As a new customer I expect and trust that the customer service rep to be well informed and knowledgeable which didnt seem like to the best of my observation. Disappointed but I guess this helps to review so other customers in the same situation are treated fairly.

The inside windows were filthy. There was only one eighth of a tank of gas. When I rent a vehicle I expect it to be full of gas so I don't have to immediately stop and put gas in it in order to use it. Very disappointed

When someone makes a reservation for a 26 foot truck for 10 hours, make sure you don't double book. I showed up and they stated I only get the truck for four hours. I had booked it for 10 hours. I was told I could not keep the truck for that long. So the solution was to take a 15 foot truck for the day. I had to make three trips to complete my move. I had to pay movers to make three trips. So it ended up costing me way more then expected. I hope in the future you can make sure no one else goes through this. I will definitely not use that location again.
