Denys attitude toward me was as if I was inconveniencing her by even being there when I picked up my equipment Edgar just stared at me when I returned the equipment and then told me “I can't sit on your lap†when I didn't get out of the truck. The signs at the drop off point state to stay with the equipment, which is what I was doing and was met with this remark from him. I also wasn't aware that uhaul had become more of a self service business. After my rental contract was complete, I was instructed where to find the truck and left to load the dollies up myself. After this experience, I think any future uhaul rentals will be done at a business that provides uhaul services also as opposed to going to an actual uhaul center

Passion H. | Overall ExperienceBefore even returning the vehicle, I was called by two different uhaul reps, hours apart, from the same location I was returning the vehicle too, asking if I was going to be able to return the vehicle before my scheduled return date. During the first phone call I provided all the information requested. The second phone call the guy said, after I told him I've already been asked about this, he said “oh, I didn't look in the notes.†At this point he continued to not read the notes and ask me the same questions from before and if I was able to return it early. With being pressured to return the vehicle early and returning it early, a partial reimbursement should be applied and returned to the card on file. Upon arriving at the return location around 7pm, the parking lot was littered with bits of trash everywhere and the building was closed up. Once I parked and made sure my rental vehicle was cleaned out, I grabbed my small garbage bag from the truck I rented and walked it to an outside trash receptacle, at this point a uhaul employee standing next to their vehicle chewed me out (yes, you read that correctly. Never was I professionally talked too but, aggressively chewed out) by not one or two but three different employees saying I can't put trash in the trash receptacle. I asked for clarification because as per the rental agreement I'm to clean out the rental vehicle. I was doing so but then I was told by uhaul employees that I can't clean out the rental vehicle that the uhaul contract is saying I need to clean out. Not once was I addressed in a professional manner as ‘sir' but as ‘man', ‘hey', ‘bud', or ‘partner'. I tried to continue cleaning the vehicle by grabbing a windshield squeegee located in the vehicle return bay, when again, I was approached by a uhaul employee who then took it away from me and mumbled how I'm not supposed to do that. The lack of professionalism, the self-entitlement attitudes of the uhaul employees, disrespectfulness and poor facility cleanliness demands a visit from cooperate to introduce basic levels of customer service training to the employees of this location.

Jerome S.Manager was rude and arrogant. The bathroom in the main area was allegedly out of order. Manager of location refused access to the restroom in the storage area because we were not "customers" we reminded him we were returning a truck that we rented from uhaul and therefore we were customers. He stated that we were not "his" customers. We had been in the truck for 3.5 hours when we returned in. I don't think having working restrooms available for uhaul customers is that not to ask. The other restrooms were working and we know it because another "customer" had to sneak us in.
Glenn T.On two separate occasions, the only person working the desk was a gentleman named Prince. He was great but the amount of people in line was ridiculous. He worked hard to help everyone as fast as he could while maintaining a positive attitude. That man deserves a raise or a bonus! There really needs to be more than one person.

I don't understand why companies are sooooo..... concerned about their customer service after services are rendered. The customer service starts at the door. I've been using U-Haul for DECADES, literally; both storage units and trucks. Why are you so interested in my opinion now? you haven't been for the last 26 years.

You should post signs at the loading dock, for trucks ONLY. This past Saturday and Sunday there were cars parked in the loading dock area, and NOT using the side parking spots.
