More communication about the construction and unit access would have been nice. I had to leave my stuff in storage longer because the construction made it difficult to get to the units.

PATRICIA LI was in a pinch and needed a larger moving truck. Was pleased to find one available at this location. Was told several times that I "did not need to fill it up when I return it", well before I saw the vehicle. So, when I turn it on and see there are less than 15 miles to EMPTY, I understood. I nervously drove it to a fill up station, fearing I'd run out of gas in the first 20 minutes turning the thing on. It drives nice, though I had to wipe the seats down and do a little cleanup of trash in the cab. I get to Ohio, drop off the vehicle and get charged a fuel charge. I returned it with 1/8 a tank of fuel: more than 4 times what it was when I picked it up!!! I also likely over paid for miles (too many) for my one-way trip. It seems I'm now responsible for a fuel recovery charge, despite the multiple assurances and returning it with MORE fuel than it had when I received it.

CARL BCompany representation...above par. Contractual calculations killed me. For storage I was charged. Two days prior I read that Tyler U-Haul offered FREE OCTOBER. I returned the truck earlier than scheduled. With that money I'll rent from you a small truck to find an apartment. I know no one here. I'm sleeping outside. Not good for someone who just turned 68. U-Haul is the best. I hold no I'll will. But I can't keep sleeping outside. Please and thanx Jos.R.Lozano

They aren’t done with construction and there are cranes everywhere then they had the NERVE to tell me to use the steps across the street to move into their unit . WOULDNT EVER USE THIS PLACE ALANA THE SUPERVISOR is the one who sold me the unit the day before knowing this was happening and didn’t say a word and caused me to wait an entire other day hire more movers plus owe the current movers for the extra hours they waited plus I had to switch to another uhual location alll on my own they didn’t offer to do anything for me or anything . I’m seeking legal action now and waiting for the general manager to get back to me this is ridiculous .

LAGAYLE NRented a 5 x 8 trailer. Trailer was extremely dirty on the outside, filthy to the touch, like it had not been washed this decade. Insides were clean. The tires were at 30 psi when they required a minimum of 55 psi. The gentleman that helped with hook-up was helpful and corrected the issue quickly. I rented a total of 4 trailers in 4 weekends, every one of them had low tire pressure in at least one tire. U-Haul should do a least a little quality control on their equipment before renting it out. I recommend that customers check tire pressures before leaving the pickup location. This is a full service U-Haul location.

ELLEN SCustomer service is lacking. I rented a 6x12 open utility trailer, expecting a well maintained peace of equipment, instead I was provided a trailer that was full of debris, with extensive damage, and a leaking tire.

DEBORAH RUnderstaffed on Saturday. Miscommunication between what the U-Haul person told me and how the system charged me according to my contract. Had to call twice to get a full refund on the extra day I was charged (was refunded the extra day, had to call back to get refunded on the 2nd day's SafeMove). Fuel was recorded as "3/4 tank full" on my contract but actually was slightly under that, so I bought extra gas for U-Haul. However - truck was available, clean. Staff people who helped me were friendly. The location was convenient, since I was paying per mile I wouldn't have gone anywhere else. I would recommend it to a friend but would tell them to watch out for being overcharged and to make sure they get clarity on their ocntract.
KELLY KI made a reservation for a truck pick up at 8 AM on a Sunday morning. I had scheduled movers, via UHaul, to meet me at 9 am at the first location. This store was not open when I arrived and had not put my rental keys in the lock box. I called the 1 800# and was told I had to wait, or could go to a dealer further away. I contacted the movers, let them know we'd be late. Waited for store to open. Store opened at 9. Staff was not at all concerned about my delay. They gave me a key, handed my the moving pads I rented and sent me to get the truck. Truck performed fine. Movers were excellent and very understanding, though I paid for them to wait. Returned truck and same staff member was there. When pressed she provided a discount. Seems like prepping the next days early morning trucks would be a given. Put the pads in. Set the key in the box. Its not rocket science. This was the best location for me to use, but I will no longer do so. Its gone down hill over the last few years, dont think its reached the bottom just yet.
KEVIN CSigns unclear where to return equipment. Nobody in the store when returning during normal store hours. Returned through the app which was a pain in the ass. Had questions about the additional amount I was being charged with nobody to ask.

BRETT W20 foot truck was not available even though it was saved. Gave us 26 foot truck which was too big and used WAY too much gas. Check engine light was on. Hand cart THA WE PAID FOR was not in the truck as was told.

Mark B | First ImpressionsI reserved a 20 foot U-Haul truck one week prior to the day I needed it to move. On the day of pick up, my husband and I arrived to the location 10 minutes early and attempted to use the U-Haul app to sign out the truck, as instructed by email. We got an error message on the app stating we needed assistance. So we went into the store and the associate stated they had no 20 foot trucks reserved for us, hence the error message. He said they had a 26 foot truck available that he would let us take for the same price we plan to pay for the 20 foot truck…perfect, we thought. We utilize the truck for our move, which took us no more than five hours, and we filled it up with gas, then immediately return the truck to the lot, and checked out with the man at the desk, returning the key. Three days later we get a bill for over $340 with receipt stating we had the truck rental for three full days. Now we’ve filed a dispute with customer service and I sure hope we get our money back. What a mess and update about the charge on our card

Steve E | Overall ExperienceDo not recommend Reliable Movers to people. It is just one guy who thinks a uhaul box just has boxes in it and that he can lift furniture by himself. He told me he doesn't hire another guy, because he would just have to pay someone he might not need. There was no way he was going to lift huge dressers, buffets and sofas alone. He had to go get someone to help him. He suggested we start unpacking it ourselves. Really? I paid almost $1000 to have the boxes delivered and unloaded, not so I could end up unloading 2/3 of the first container while he went to find help. It struck me as very unprofessional not to show up with at least 2 men ready to work. The name of the the company even implies that is is "movers", not "one dude who thinks he can do it all and then complains he may have to stop doing moving because his old body can't handle it anymore". Just ridiculous.
Julie SI went to empty out my unit and the Rd was torn out. No way in. I came back 3 days later and the same thing. No way in. We finally came and carried our belongings down the wooden steps to the office parking lot. I went online canceled my storage unit before the payment was due and have been sent emails about owing a bill still... Had this unit for 2 or 3 yrs. Never missed a payment...tha fuk

PHILLIP WReservation was confirmed for 6am… when I arrived I was unable to pick up my reservation as the key to the truck I was assigned was not in the after hours pick up box… I had to wait until an employee at the location arrived at 7am to be able to pick up my truck because the key was still locked in the building… Also had to ask for the appliance dolly and was told they may not have any even though I had reserved one and paid for one… Very unprofessional and then after that U haul would not honor their $50 guarantee that they clearly post on their app and website

I waited in the store for what seemed to be an eternity when a guy from a different store asked if I could be helped, I told him I was there to pick up, he then looked for someone that worked at the store, when he couldn’t find anyone he logged in and helped me. It wasn’t until he was almost completed with my pick up that an actual store employee showed up
SEAN SThere was only one customer in front of me but it took almost 30 minutes before I was helped even though multiple people working there came in and went behind the desk, nor was I acknowledged. Somebody said they were on their lunch break so couldnt help. WORSE though is that while I was standing there at one point at the counter as it was my turn next, no one was there at the counter for 10-15 minutes and I waited. When the lady came back she was asking some of the other associates 'where is the $400 (cash) I left sitting up here?' TO myself I thought there never was any money just sitting out as she reassured coworkers she left it there. I have no idea what it was for. But then she was like well 'dont let this guy leave yet we need to check the cameras.' Said it right in front of me. Now this pissed me off because it was so disrespectful to even say that to a customer to her team. " I immediately asked her are accusing me of something!?" and she walked it back as i then reassured all of them there was never any money sitting there. She ultimately did find the money in some place under the counter register thus proving it was her mistake but I received no apology for this. Then when I wanted to just change the drop off location to another branch in Knoxville just closer to me they wanted to charge me an extra $100. Maybe that is your policy but it was much more convenient for me as I was just borrowing a flatbed for a few hours to load some stuff and after that comment she made to me I thought it was something that easily could be done as an apology... Furthermore I witnessed him take care of several other customers the same way all by himself in the store. JOHN BNothing! If they are treated like I was, they will be very happy. I checked in, and was in the truck in less than 5 minutes. When I dropped the truck off, I got the same professional treatment. I hopped out of the truck and into my personal truck. No hassle! The staff, especially the general manager exercised the highest level of courtesy and professionalism!
KEVIN CAwful experience. Truck assigned was blocked in by other trucks. Being an early pick-up, facility was not open. Live chat took another 30 minutes. Next truck available was a billion years old. Felt like I was riding a mechanical bull while driving.

DONALD SConstruction was underway, and I attempted to utilize my 30-day free storage, but was unable to access a proper size storage unit, as well as use the loading dock to unload, due to containers being placed in a location that blocked access. I was forced to go to another storage facility to store the belongings. Thus incurring an additional $150 charge to my aready expensive rental.
James S | Overall ExperienceEverything was going great. I was out the door in a few minutes and on my way. Unfortunately, the odometer reading was 200 miles less on the contract than on the odometer. I realized this when I stopped to fill up gas about a half hour into the trip. At that point I found the app that allows you to make corrections, but it had expired. I had not been told to check the app before leaving. But I had taken a time stamped photo of the odometer. When I got back with the truck I showed the photo to the manager. She said I would not be charged the extra miles. Then, after going out to the vehicle for five minutes, she returned and said, "I'm charging you the extra miles". I then asked if i would receive a refund. She said yes, but the whole thing seemed fishy. Why did she change what we had agreed on, and why did she use those specific words? I called customer service, who said she should have checked the time stamp, which she didn't. It was not easy getting the time stamp over to customer service, when she could have simply asked for it. According to customer service, the manager did not follow protocol, and I may have never seen a refund, had I not handled it myself. Still wondering why she said, "I'm charging you the extra miles". It was very disconcerting, the whole episode.
andy tThe driverside wheel bearing was going out on my rental and howled the entire move. When picking up I had to ask for my furniture pads as they weren't alredy in my truck. The floor of my rental had just been epoxy painted recently and didn't cure with the humidity that we've had so all of the paint got all over the feet of my furntiure and boxes when then transfered to my flooring. I wasn't acknowledged for my drop-off.

CHASE M | Overall ExperienceWest Knoxville area took all my credit card information to reserve me a truck to be picked up at the Clinton U haul store at 5pm On arriving there was no truck reserved so the employee called the West Knoxville store the person that took my information said she had nobody under my name but had my phone number under somebody else then the employee of the Clinton store told me I needed to watch my card so I feel like he was telling me something was wrong so I had to deactivate my card and replace it with a new one and then I returned the U haul to have them to charge me for three days instead of two I had to really argue with the manager over the time I picked it up til I dropped off she couldn't understand that it added up to two days not three so we called the 1-800 number and Allan told me n my husband he was filing a dispute about it and we was not going to be charged anything until they resolved the extra charges but they ended up taking the money out my account and told me I have a balance for a promise note after all the trouble I went through I still owe a balance for another day is unbelievable and wrong I will never recommend them because they are thieves if y'all uses them please take pics and get your paperwork work and also get the names of who you give your information too because this was a horrible experience for me
REGINA BThe only issue I had was that it definitely cost more than I thought it would. The original estimate was for under 100 and I ended up paying over 200. Now I understand that there was mileage involved but that was not. apparent at the time of rental.

I drive around to the right and to the end where there is more construction to reach my unit and then have to back up all the the way to the other end to exit. Other than that you run a good facility.

RICHARD H | First ImpressionsI was wanting to rent a small truck and storage unit from the same place he told me he did not have any 10-footers I think it was the truck with no sides on it as I'm leaving to go to Rutledge Park there's three in the front parking lot and he told me he didn't have any so I go to rub his pocket to pick one up and he said about picking up back to his store so he can have one I would get a free month rental on my storage unit he said if they don't handle it over there he will take care of it when I bring the truck back on Sunday so I'll come pick the truck up at Rutledge Park and tell them to run it when I get a free rental on my storage unit he said that does not affect you any at all he said you won't get a free rental I said we got to tell me over there that if I'm ready to bring it back to him he would give me one he said you don't get it so sadly to say you the guy why I can get a truck brought back to his inventory and I didn't get a rental and I'm going to find a cheaper rental storage place and get my stuff out of U-Haul

I was told I would be pro-rated for the move from one storage unit to another at the same facility. That never happened, and I was basically ignored. I will probably not ever use U-haul again unless it is the last resort.

Everyone was asking him questions while he was multitasking between phone calls, helping out customers, and his colleagues. Vontavious O'Neal was very helpful from the first time I walked into the Storage facility, a few months later and again he helped me out. Both visits he was multitasking and helping everyone. If in the future I need Uhaul services I would drive out of my way for his help.

He then asked for an emergency contact number and had to give my stepmom's phone AND address. After he bumbled through the process, he asked me to pick a code and then said "Really?" after I gave him one. He handed me the paperwork after with no instructions. I had to ask him what my storage number was and where to go. He just pointed and I had to figure it out myself. The code I gave him also didn't work and had to go back to the office to get a temporary one since custom ones "don't work right away." I've stored stuff at other U-Haul locations and loved it... Very helpful staff and convenient equipment like rolling carts. But this place... let's just say I will only be there a month until I find better accommodations.

When I got to the drop off center in Clinton, Tn to uinload my trailer, I didn't have a resevation and the person working at the Clinton location informed me that he was not going to give me the sized storage bin that I need for free. The service provider would oly give me the sized storage bin that he thought I needed, which I explained to him was not large enough to accomadate all of my belongings, he told me that he did not care and that it was. To makke a long story short I ended up with a storage bin that is way to small and I've had to find somewhere else to store my things.

I had reserved a unit but when I got there they said that they didn’t have any available.. and only gave me one unit that was a 5x10 when I ordered a 10x10... clearly I needed a 10x10 because of the amount of room needed..But thankfully the owner was able to get everything straighten out for us. JASON IS AWESOME!!! Very thankful for him!

Dana B | First ImpressionsThe climate control wasn't worth the extra expense, as temps weren't well monitored-often too hot. My unit leaked during an especially heavy rain. Items mysteriously disappeared out of it & the lock would sometimes be turned backwards from the way I placed it. Since the new office & truck facility was built next door, it seemed that there were no cameras on the actual storage units, & a property next to it could have provided access over the fence due to the difference in ground levels. The price kept going up-most recently after UHaul advertised giving free storage to students (obviously at my expense).
