The vehicle mileage recorded by the Uhaul staff was incorrect by 134 miles, and I got charged an extra $40.00 for going over the agreed mileage stated in the contract that I most certainly did not. I was also charged above the online quote which should have been $88 before tax. I was charged twice for a furniture dolly that the S Dairy Ashford location didn't have, and instead of taking the charge off, charged me another 12.99 for a utility dolly. I also returned the vehicle to agreed location and have received no fuel credit as I returned the truck with 3/4 tank. I feel like I got scammed by a negligent Uhaul location. The S Dairy Ashford location has picture proof that I sent them in the inspection photos of the correct mileage. They need to make this right ASAP.Ian D.

The truck was clean, but the truck seemed to have some mechanical issues. The engine was very loud and it appeared that the truck might have had a transmission problem. Its clean and secure, but the elevators weren't working and for people with disabilities this is a problem and for the movers as well. Cindy, the desk clerk was very impatient, rude and unprofessional in confirming my reservation which I completed online. I had to spend time going over all details of my reservation with her because she does not have any correct information. I told her I have email confirmation of my reservation but she ignored me. I am also very unhappy about the fact that my pickup location was changed two hours before my scheduled pickup time which caused me extra time and mileage in getting and returning the rental truck. I shall be compensated for the inconvenience caused by your location problem caused by COVID instead of picking up the rental truck at an alternate location with an rude and unprofessional desk clerk. I never thought I will encounter such bad experience with U-Haul truck rental. Never again....PETER C.

To be honest. I feel like I got the bait and switch routine or overcharged. Seems like it was a bit expensive. My suspicions were confirmed the very next day when I needed UHAUL again. I went to a different location slightly more convenient for me at the time. But turned out to be a great experience. Carl at the Katy Hockley location made it perfectly clear that I could keep the the uhaul overnight. It would be the same price. This was not communicated to me at the Dairy Ashford location. I said to Carl, Now that's virtually $200 bucks when it could've been done for $100. We were both cordial about it. We kept good energy and joked appropriately. I got the truck and took care of business. I literally drove the Katy truck a little further. Refilling it with fuel cost me less money and I kept it an entire day! It still came out cheaper than the Dairy Ashford agreement!? I would give 5 stars, however, on the day of my scheduled move the elevators weren't working and my unit was on the 2nd floor. The employee at the storage was aware of this and didn't inform me. I reserved a truck 2 weeks in advance. I called the day of moving and find out my truck was not available. They gave me a smaller truck with no rail to roll big items up on and i purchased a dolly. My move was more trips than i had to make and harder because i had to pick up heavy furniture to put on the truck. With that being said it cost me more money and time. This was the worst move ever. If i would have recieved a courtesy call or email it would allowed me to take different actions. Thank you.Donna B.

I'd returned a truck there the previous week but the system was down so they helped me check it in manually. The next week I went over to return another truck and it wasn't my assigned return location but I had put in no preference and it was 24 miles away so they told me they couldn't help me and I could call uhaul and get it changed which I did. I felt they weren't really interested in helping me and there were no other customers around so while I got everything handled the customer service on the phone was more helpful than in person. Have been to many U-Hauls in a great many states. This location is above average, so I do choose to go here. All my transactions here have been no-nonsense, and that's a benefit. Renting a vehicle is not a simple process. U-Haul has sped up the paperwork requirements over the last decade, thankfully. The computer systems/servers seem often to be problematic (throughout many states). And while I do understand the reasons for picking up complex business systems on secondary markets, most of the poorer reviews could likely be fixed with certain upgrades. Those systems fail most often when they're overloaded, which means times of high use, which means lines getting backed up, which means frustration on both sides of the counter... I mitigate this for myself by scheduling my visits to U-Haul with these realities in mind.James Q.

The customer service I was offered when I first wanted to rent the unit was great. However, some customer feedback for you that may help you because it probably means I won’t be using this location again. The door to my unit did not fully open from when I first rented it and I was told by two members of staff that a work order would be in place to fix it. This made moving challenging because we kept having to prop the door up. I came back twice to ask for this to be resolved and it never was. Needless to say I was able to work around it but for the inconvenience it didn’t leave me feeling positive. If it takes two months for a work order to be put it and it doesn't get fixed, it doesn't make me feel I'll be recommending it to another person.Nam Anh V. | Overall Experience
Cynthia IS ABSOLUTELY the most amazing customer service / management representative I've ever encountered. Very professional as well as personable. She and Roger treated me and my daughter with alot of patience when my bank card had issues. Over 1 hour she maintained her composure and calmed me down. The issue I have is that for the second time in two years my husband has tried to do a walk in Rental and been turned away saying there are no available rentals and I literally logon within minutes of him exiting the building and make a reservation.
