I called Jeanette and she held a 15’ truck for me while I drove back to return the smaller one. She made it all super easy, which is not an easy thing when moving is concerned.

I was greeted with a statement that we don't take debit cards only credit cards which is not what it says on website,,,I said ok but she acted like I was an indigent off the street!
I rented a van for approximately 3 hours and when I was done I stopped at speedway and put more gas in the van than it had originally! They sent me a notice stating I owed them another $30 for gas. Fortunately I was smart enough to take a picture of gas and mileage because I had a feeling not to trust them after the rudeness I received!
I will take u haul to small claims court if they think they are getting another penny from me! Do NIT use this place unless you want to pay over $120 for 3 hours when it says $19.95 a day!

When i returned to my storage,was a red lock and went up front to see what was going on, treated like like u should have paid ur bill. I told him it was paid and he walked with me and said should had put a lock on that was given to me, I told him what lock. He looked. He said well. Counter personnel was somewhat curt, and a bit overwhelmed at/with her duties that early in the morning (0730-ish).
I made the reservation on-line, and when I arrived there to pick-up the trailer, I was told that with NOT owning/having a cell phone, they could not help me?
NO WHERE during the on-line process did it state/require that you have a cell phone to do so, alarming, and confusing ! ! !
Come to find out that U-Haul wants/will send you a "text" for you to scan the front and back of your drivers license? Why don't they have the capabilities/equipment of their own to do that, making it convenient for those of us that do not have the need/want for a cell phone, didn't have one growing up, sure as hell still don't need one now ! ! !
Granted, technology today is naturally changing with each and every passing day, so why am I treated differently because I have a zero need for a cell phone?
Never have any issues when I rent a car, or book a motel for my travels, but with u-haul, it's an issue ? ? ?
Seems, they're more behind the times than I am ? ? ?

I went in to ask a clarifying question about the mileage/time limit policies and the front desk clerk could not have been more impolite or rude — interruptive, condescending, and snarky, you name it. I cannot recommend this place lower, but I wish I could. Following that, she was rude to my wife, who was waiting in the car, for no reason whatsoever! Absolutely unnecessary and ridiculously unprofessional. Good luck dealing with the staff, I highly recommend self pickup — better yet, a different U-Haul location (or company) if possible.

I did not have any issue with staff when I picked up the equipment. Main issue was with the rental charge. I had ordered 2 dozen furniture pads, and when I got to my destination to start loading there were only 5. I was charged for way more than I received. I have tried to get ahold of the store the last 2 days over this issue. I called the manager, was placed on hold for 28 minutes, someone finally picked up the phone and told me that she just left. Just how the whole calling in and being treated rudely by staff who didn't even identify himself on the phone was unacceptable.

The trailer was hard to take off our trailer hitch. The staff knew how to deal with the situation and we were in and out in a farely reasonable time. We had to go in and let them know we were there, but once we got someone's attention we were helped immediately. The location was busy and it was a Saturday afternoon. I rented trailers 2 weekends and neither had functional license plate lights and several broken, and burnt out marker lights.
The bigger issue is access and safety when returning a trailer. The lot is sloped causing trailers to roll when disconnected. There is no safe place to disconnect and no blocks/chocks to keep the trailer from rolling down the slope.
Additionally, both times I dropped off, I had difficulty accessing the lot due to the number of units parked all over blocking the entrance.

Don’t make the mistake of using mobile check in. It’s long and cumbersome. Use the counter check in. The people there will assist and get you squared away much quicker than mobile check in.

We got a call from customer service hours before we wereto pick up our equipment, changing the location. They offered to give us a generous discount, but failed to put that in the system so when we showed at the office, they had no record of it. The inside of the trailer was dirty. I cleaned it out before putting my own moving blankets in place. I also taped over a hole in the top side were a tie ring was missing. It rained on our trip so I was happy it was sealed up. I was carrying boards that would have been damaged if they got wet. The trailer was older but towed just fine.

As for lighting: they have motion sensor lights that last a few min then shut off so you’re constantly walking to find a sensor to turn the lights back on if you’re there for any period of time. As for cleanliness, sure the halls look clean but when I moved my belongings out after almost 9 years, mice had taken over! The tops of the units are open allowing anything anyone else brings in to contaminate your belongings. I had to throw away half of my belongings. I moved out the day after my money was taken for that month and they refused to prorate me the rest of the month so they planned to double dip on my unit by collecting my funds for the month and then a new renter. The female working at the time decided it was appropriate to laugh at me when I told her not to move me out because to prove a point I was going to wait until 2 days before my next payment was due to do so. She laughed and responded with “ok whatever that’s stupid” and was extremely rude to me. When I returned two days before the next scheduled payment was due to come out, they had put their lock on my unit so I couldn’t get in it to sweep it without someone letting me in so if I would have came after hours (which was a 45 min drive, I would have been screwed). I finally got in swept it etc and uploaded pictures and did the move out process and the female at that location would not move me out. I waiting until the night before to call headquarters and they had to move me out! I will say that the two male workers that were there the day I came to clean were extremely nice and professional.

The general manager has serious issues with don't give a crap. The website is tragic and no one knows how to do anything with it. The clerk getting me my unit made every step of the process difficult and took a ridiculous amount of time. The storage area is difficult to maneuver in, has floor that are uneven to the point of being a safety concern, and have malfunctioning lights that compound the safety risks.

Lighting is awful on the back row where my storage unit was. The motion detector was in the corner which is hard to get to in the dark when you’re in your storage unit. The floors are very uneven and I wasn’t able to open my storage unit door completely. The split units are awful if you’re carrying anything heavy, which required me to upgrade my until. There is no lighting within the storage unit itself. Also, mouse poison is in what looks like a restaurant to-go box which is great that they have it but doesn’t give you a great feeling when leaving valuables in your unit.

I absolutely love Uhaul. U Haul has always been used in my family for as long as I can remember. Hi miscalculated pricing cuz this was the first time I ever had to use U-Haul by myself but it was okay it was still pretty good. The only thing I'm upset about is I'm being charged for mileage that I supposedly went over. I don't think that should be fair because I didn't drive the U-Haul anywhere but from pick up to my apartment and then over to the drop off location and I'm being charged for 4 Extra miles. I know it might sound minuscule but I'm currently homeless so now I have to pay that when I specifically told where do You Haul was going to be so I assumed the 35 mi they gave me was going to be enough but to find out that there was four extra miles put on where I don't even know where that four extra miles came from and now I have to pay it is upsetting and then I was told I was going to have to pay a $30 late fee for that so now it's almost $50 that I might have to pay and I have no home and I'm broke so that's the only thing that upsets me that was done by U-Haul.

The independent contractors all have different procedures that feel unorthodox and not very well maintained. Lack of requested and yet paid for. Extra pads and mileage that I was charged for yet didn't use.

I closed out my storage unit online but the facility never closed our my account. The facility manager didn’t even know you could check out if your unit online. Finally after 10 days of no response from the facility I drove over to have my account closed. Anyone want to pay for my gas?

These people will charge you for anything and everything they can think of. $20 (cash only) to remove one of their supplied locks (that nobody has key copies of), charging a replacement fee when their (previously used) access card SNAPPED IN HALF! The employees are dirtbags.

Had storage here for 2 years. Staff was always friendly and helpful an the facility was always clean and well lit. I never felt uncomfortable being here. If I ever need a storage facility in the future, I would come back to U-Haul.

I love doing business with you are your staff is very friendly and helpful and professional the storage unit that we got in the climate control met our needs perfectly we will still be getting boxes and probably get a U-Haul truck to move some of our stuff so yes you definitely have our business as always.

Horrible experience + facility. There are mice droppings all over the place. I hardly put anything in the unit because they’re so dirty.
Joyce was super rude & unhelpful. The faccility was dirty, & the unit door was too small (no dimensions on website). The move-in instructions that I received via email we’re also incorrect.
While checking in, Joyce lied about the free lock on the website and forced us to buy another. Once we were allowed to access the unit, there was a free lock inside. However Joyce won’t let you return the brand new, unopened lock that she forced you to purchase 2 minutes ago.

I had a good experience with uhaul. Everyone that works there is great, except maybe the guy who always answers the phones. He could use a bit of training in customer service. But everyone else is super helpful! I would reccommend uhaul to friends or family.
