Only problem I had was i wanted to be able to pick up the rental at the location nearest to me for convience and a few days prior I got notification saying it was at another location and was a different size than originally signed for . Just a few hoops that I didn’t expect. Other than that not bad . Thanks

I did not have any problems renting a 15 foot truck from this location, and the truck performed great! Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the very rude and arrogant general manager who helped me. His first name was Tim for sure, and I think I remember his last name as Hoen, but I could be wrong about the last name. He said he was the manager when I asked to talk with his manager...because he was such a smart ass when I asked a few questions. This was the first time I rented a truck before, so I had a few questions. He must have had 35 cups of coffee, because he was extremely impatient and rude, and they were not very busy at all. Tim was why I gave this location a rating of average instead of excellent.

rented a truck it broke down 10 minutes after i left it took 4 hours to get it towed and back to pick up another truck. To top it off the tow truck broke down and had to wait for another tow truck. Was told by the manager Tim i would not be charged for the truck and still show a charge on my C/C. the tow truck showed me that this truck had been towed by them before he showed me a rope used to hold the drive shaft was still on the truck.

Location was no issue. Online check out procedure was a pain. Having to re-enter information from the night previously is ridiculous. Why do I need to do double work? Plus, why wait until the time of pick up to upload DL picture?

From the start the trailer was rickety and the hydronic brakes never worked. Then I had a flat tire on my trailer which took over 3 hours to have someone come change it. That trailer was in unacceptable condition.

I was treated very professionally, The young man out in the yard got everything for me, I did not even touch the equipment, he had me hooked up and ready to go in a matter of seconds, even checked my lights. When I returned the equipment, the young man in the yard did everything disconnecting the equipment. I’m very impressed and satisfied with my visit to U-Haul. I will be back. This was the best U-Haul location that I’ve ever been to and will absolutely use this place again. It had a huge covered port with clearly marked lines and signs directing you to the return spot, and they park the truck for you! No backing into ridiculous spots - this was awesome. The people were also great and really helpful. I highly recommend using this location.

I was charged for 3 days worth of insurance, furniture pads, and appliance dolly use. All I was informed of was the daily rate of the uhaul that would be charged daily. I had an additional $90 worth of charges that I was not expecting and feel that was unacceptable as a customer.

I had to get a truck at the last second to move my son's furniture back from college (his original plans fell through and he had to be out of his apartment). All the trucks on the lot were reserved. But I was allowed to rent one as long as I brought it back that night and utilized the key drop-off. I did bring it back and my son's issue was resolved. I appreciate Tim @ Uhaul for finding a way to help me out. He didn't have to do that and I appreciate it.

This was the worst experience I have had with Uhaul. I booked a truck through Buttermilk Pike Self Storage. The truck size was changed w/o my knowledge, the manager told me I had to return the truck hours before my rental agreement ended and when I arrived to pick up, I was informed they didn't have a truck available. Thank goodness for the Dixie Hwy location for coming through when I most needed help. I should have went there from the beginning as the other place is NOT up to Uhaul standards. I need another truck in 3 weeks, but I may try another company.

Make sure the prices online match to what you are charging. I checked online last week and it said $0.69 a mile. I was charged $0.79 a mile. It has since changed on the website to match what I was charged. My step father rented the same type of truck 2 weeks ago, from the same location, and they charged him $0.99 a mile. That is the only thing that I wasn't all that happy with.

If you’re reading this review before renting a truck from here, I highly suggest 100% verification of the mileage on the vehicle before you drive it off the lot. I hit the trip Button to reset the mileage, to know how long I drove. The trip counter said I drove 28.2 miles but the starting mileage on the contract said differently then what I turned it in at less my 28.2 miles. I was charge for 69 miles, add a healthy adjustment to what I was expecting. The staff should verify you see the mileage and read it off to you, or something differently other than circling it when you check out. I was aware that the vehicle was on 5/8 of a tank and had to return it on 5/8’s. The gas gauge in the truck apparently takes several minutes to recognize any level adjustment of fuel you’re putting into it. So I was unable to stop it at the very small variance of miles that I drove at four and ended up filling it up to 7/8 of a tank. There was no reimbursement for me giving them more gas than I consumed. They apparently were top off the tank before you receive it expecting you to do the same at a gas station literally two businesses away. I’ll also recommend you slowly walk around the interior and exterior of the truck Video recording any knick, scratch or damage to the vehicle, in the event they decide to hold you responsible for something pre-existing. I did not sign up for their elective additional insurance on the vehicle. As I was pulling out, I received an email reminder that I was responsible for any damages on the vehicle. I had a friend rent a U-Haul from another location, and drove it across the entire state of Ohio, and I only had to pay half of what I was billed for My rental. I’ve used this location a couple times previously and the service was always fair, But this time I feel like they took advantage of me.

The temporary manager I think his name was Will?, was not interactive, seemed “put out” that he had to wait on a customer. Didn’t talk or smile. Didn’t explain anything, the other guy there explained everything and the guy who did the rental return was wonderful. From a woman’s perspective you need help (info) when your by yourself and if it wasn’t for the other two guys this place would not be on the list to use again

We picked up our U-Boxes which made the process very easy. Even though we were not told that the store needed 24 hours notice ahead of time for picking up our U-Boxes everything worked out extremely well.

Truck was not at 3/4 tank at pickup as noted. I went ahead and filled it to 3/4 anyway beforedropff a 1/4 mile away. Next morning I received my bill and I was then charged for not dropping off at 3/4 tank. Seemed shady.

When choosing the truck size the customer should be made aware he must haul around a dolly and moving pads even though he does not want them. This reduces the cubic feet of usable space for the customer, I was hauling kitchen cabinets and these were an issue, I could resolve this by breaking the seal and paying for the items I did not want, which seems unfair considering I rented the correct cu ft for the job.

The van we rented showed a full gas tank; however, we only drove 29 miles and it took 5.5 gallons of gas to fill. This means the tank was NOT full; it surely didn't use 5.5 gallons of gas to drive a mere 29 miles. We feel we should be reimbursed for the gas which cost us over $15. You should ensure the tanks are full when you rent the vans by adding gas yourself. The customer can only go by what the gauge says and our gauge was obviously defective.

Need to have more trucks available in Indiana, not fair to have to pay mileage from Kentucky to Indiana. It just not right more trucks available in Indiana is a must, have heard more people complain about this but service was great

Was picking up the U-Haul with my girlfriend and she was harassed my an employee. As he was walking into the store to assist me he looked at her and said "you're so beautiful" which made her very uncomfortable, and is not professional whatsoever especially in company uniform. The same man assisted me with getting my contract together. He proceeded to ask me if it was my sister when getting into the rental unit and I personally do not believe this was any if his business because it's honestly not anyone's business but our own, and it had no bearing on his job performance. This is not acceptable and it was not appreciated by either me or her. I hope this is reviewed and action is taken so the next person is not offended by someone they are paying for a service and employees are professional.

The truck and supplies I reserved were ready on time. The truck was very clean. The staff helpful, professional, and good natured. Booking the reservation online was easy... checking in online at time of pick up was not at all convenient. It would have been far easier and less time consuming to just go inside to be helped by the wonderful staff.

The U-Haul truck I rented was one of the biggest pieces of junk I have ever driven or ridden in. The tires were totally bald and the truck seemed to slide from side to side on the pavement. This truck was unsafe and should not be allowed to be on the road.

To have an indoor climate control unit, I wasn't happy when I removed my property. Everything had saw dust and some kind of other dirty substance all over everything. I have never had this problem!

Was told I could fit a washer and dryer in unit, but when I came it was above another unit which was impossible to lift a washer a dryer into. Lower units door wasn't wide enough in 6x8 ft space

Poor service. Their employee accidentally cancelled my moving help order and they did nothing to sort it. Instead I had to reorder and then ask them for reimbursement.
