I had a very disappointing experience at this U-Haul location. The customer service was extremely poor. The young lady assisting us was rude, sarcastic, and showed no sense of professionalism at all. Instead of focusing on helping customers, she was taking personal calls and even using inappropriate language while we were standing there. It made the whole experience uncomfortable and frustrating. I would not recommend this location based on how we were treated.

Hi, I wanted to follow up regarding my recent rental.
We originally reserved the truck for 24 hours but had to return it after only about 2 hours due to the strong smell of cigarettes and marijuana, which caused respiratory issues.
When I returned the truck early, I used the app and selected “return my truck,” but it did not prompt me to complete the full drop-off process. I’ve attached photos for reference.
I also contacted U-Haul customer service on 3/17 at approximately 7:45 PM and spoke with Tyler regarding the early drop-off. Additionally, I spoke with Brie through U-Haul chat to explain the issues that occurred. Please see all attached photos as supporting documentation.
Given the circumstances, I’d like to know how we can proceed with a possible reimbursement or adjustment. I’ve been a long-standing U-Haul customer for many years and would like to continue using your services, but this experience was very disappointing.

I had an excellent experience at this U-Haul location and really wanted to give the team the recognition they deserve.
Despite there being a long line when I arrived, the staff moved through it quickly and efficiently. The whole process was very organized, and it was clear the employees communicated well with each other about availability and reservations. As soon as it was my turn, they found my reservation right away and helped me get everything sorted out without any delays.
One thing that really stood out to me was how well the facility was maintained. The bathroom was very clean, and I even saw an employee go clean it immediately after finishing helping customers in line. That level of attention doesn’t go unnoticed.
I also appreciated how accommodating they were when I arrived a little late for my pickup appointment. The staff handled it without any issues and were still very helpful and patient.
The most impressive part of the whole experience came when we ran into a problem with towing my vehicle. My bumper hangs too low to safely use a standard tow without risking damage to the car. Instead of just sending me away or forcing a risky setup, the team showed genuine concern for my vehicle and took the time to figure out a safe solution.
Taheisha Brower went above and beyond by helping brainstorm options and even traveling to another U-Haul location to locate a toy hauler that would work for my car. The rest of the team also worked together to safely load my vehicle and make sure everything was secure before I left.
I also want to give a shoutout to Ray (I hope I remembered the name correctly) for being part of the helpful and professional team.
Thanks again to everyone at this location for the excellent service and for going the extra mile to make sure everything was done safely and smoothly. It made a stressful moving day much easier.

MAJOR SAFETY CONCERNS - AVOID MOBILE PICKUP
I traveled 5 hours for a pickup at 8:30 PM, only to be left stranded in the dark for 45 minutes because of a glitchy app and undisclosed "verification" requirements (passport/lease) that were never mentioned during a phone call with staff 90 minutes prior.
To make matters worse, I was handed a truck with less than 1/16th of a tank of gas. Handing a woman traveling alone an empty vehicle at night is gross negligence. Despite this, I honored my agreement to tow a trailer for them to assist with their inventory. I was a "helper" customer, but U-Haul failed me on basic safety and transparency. Still waiting for Corporate to address the refund for this ordeal. Avoid this location if you value your time and safety.

I rented a vehicle for three days. I went into the facility and extended the contract. I showed the girl tge card and stated that I wanted it put on the card. She charged the extention to my original card and not the card that I had just showed her. Most of my things got ruined by mouse poop pollen and roaches. I know storages have issues with some bugs like spiders but I never experienced this issue. I have had plenty outdoor storages in all seasons and never experienced an issues with that this location was terrible and they need to do better as much money as people are paying.

My bin was outside all of my stuff had pollon all over it I used u haul before and I never had a problem until now ,,but I will never use a outdoor storage again at the dupoint storage,I will recommend others to use,just not the outside units

Not having some of my most memorable possessions tucked away from you but having a place to feel that is ok protecting them is super cool. The screws on my unit were busted the entire time. By busted, I mean, the screws holding the lock on were just sitting in two oversized holes so all anyone had to do to access my unit was to use there hand to pull off the lock area. I always got the same response, well we have cameras.
No one ever messed with my unit. But still would've been nice to have that extra security of a locked storage unit I should've had the whole time.
The bathroom finally got fixed within the last few months. The storage facility is well lit and always clean.
Every person I talked to, in the office, was professional and courteous. The housekeeper was always friendly and a sweet woman to talk too. I have recommended this U-Haul and would recommend again, even with my broken lock. I am writing this in hopes that corporate can finally send the stores the right supplies to fix said issue. Since everytime it was ordered, the hardware would not come or wasn't available.

I have had really bad experiences with haul in the past as a long time customer. I have been dealing with a lot of heal issues. I finally had a pleasure of meeting Ms. Cynthia and oh my God I was so please so so pleased I couldn’t believe I was dealing with UHaul . She is definitely an assist to this company. The storage unit itself was just fine and the staff from the day of move in, however, the move out process was horrible. I submit my move out request prior to the payment due date and I received an email a little while later saying that I still needed to pay on the unit. I told them I sent out a request prior to the due date and I received ANOTHER email saying I owe. It makes me wonder whether you all are trying to take people's money or perhaps your system is unorganized. After calling up there, the lady says she saw my move in request and that someone would give me a call back. I received NO call back and just yesterday received another random email saying I owe. I respond to that one saying I already went through this and I have evidence to prove I do not owe you all. After no response, I finally receive an email including my receipt from my move out. HUH? I will definitely not be using the Uhaul at Dupont again. Also, the employees that sent these emails are Mary Treschenko and Sulma Culbertson.

Please make sure outside storage rooms drive up areas are clear of company parked vehicles. It's safer to maneuver trucks, it provides space for customer to move into storage rooms and makes a much more comfortable moving in or out experience for customers. Thank you!

Thanks for keeping the property up the rest room clean and the inside cool during hot summer months. We had a unit on the outside at the U-Haul across from Bellwood on Jefferson Davis. When we emptied the unit it was just as clean inside as when we rented it. No bugs or rodents and no water had entered the unit. Thanks again we will rent there again if we should ever need your service.
