System was down so couldn't get any rental when I was there. Gentleman that was working was nice enough to call me when system got back up. Overall good experience no other issues.

LEONARD U.Have the equipment that is on reservation actually at the location when you have a reservation. To days in a row at two different locations I showed up to pick up a car hauler and both times the trailer I needed was not there. To run salt in the wound. Both locations had an additional trailer inside with no reservation on it that would suit my needs based on the load I was towing and the vehicle I was going to tow it with. Because the computer said it wouldn't carry the load. They wouldn't rent it to me. Uhaul needs to reassess the program they use to focus these things out. Only way I was able to make this work was to tow a friend's car that had similar wrought and wheel base and he towed mine. This scenario finally made the computer happy. Uhaul you need to get your shit together. You leave your technicians no leeway to confirm a load can be towed based on the facts of the vehicle stamped ratings for towing. Beyond annoyed and put out.

Leticia C.Improve the signage and instructions on returning equipment. The signage directs you to the right of the facility under the canopy with large "STOP" on the pavement. The employee came out after a few minutes and wanted me to back up the trailer and move it to the left. I don't usually drive with a trailer especially in a tight lot to maneuver with trucks and vans in the immediate area. Specify where the equipment needs to be returned.

It is frustrating that the site requires you to do through page after page with the site automatically adding items before getting to check out when all you want to do is rent a trailer. While the added items take up the bulk of the page you must find the small-print item stating "I don't need any of this" in order to progress to the next page.

Viraj K.Sharing a lot with Starbucks makes this a hard location to get into. That being said Chris made the whole experience much more relaxing. I was in and out with Chris doing my contract and Bryan retrieving the truck. The teamwork and professionalism at this location is amazing. Wish all stores ran as smooth as this one.

CANDY C.I had just picked up the druck and was driving it home. I exited the 22 Fwy at the Tustin off ramp. I began to slow down for the red light.Suddenly the engine reved up high in RPM's. The brakes wern't working. Finally I put both feet on the brake pedal and finally the truch stopped and the revs slowed down. I turned the corner and went down to Tustin and Fairhaven. I pushed the brake peday again in a effort to stop. The brakes again didn't seem to take effect. the engine reved up to high RPM's. I had to use bot feet to jam the brakes and finally stopped. I drove to my house, parked and called the 1-800 U-Haul number for assistaince. About an hour later someone from Sanchez Towing showed up. I explained what had happened. We went for a test drive. he drove first for about a mile. I drove the mile back. All seemed OK. He told me ther seemed to be nothing wrong. My daughter drove the truck to Brea and we unloaded it. I drove fine. I drove the truck back to where we picked it up. On the way there , I exited the 22 FWY at Haster. This time i had my friend Jordan riding in the truck with me. As I was slowing to stop for the light I stepped on the brakes. Again the brakes seemed to fail. The engine RPM's reved up hight. I jamed both feet on the brake peday, but they did not seem to be working. I shoved the shift lever into park. The truck jerked to a halt. The engine RPM's went back to narmal. I proceded back to the U-Haul Rental. I told the guy at U-Haul about our near death experience. I told him: "Do not rent this truck out to anyone until it is checked out by a mechanic." He told me the truck had juct come back from having work done on it. I'm telling you that this 78 year old man damn near had a heart attack. I was scared as Hell 3 times. Over the years i have driven U-haul trucks for moving. But I have never had thia type of Harrowing experience before. I can't say I am happy with U-Haul.

Ms ruby was great on Customer service on the phone. But why did I have to figure this out for an hour and half to where to drop Off they key. Horrible horrible

I understand the need to take a photo to verify identity but it was strange that the front desk employee encouraged me to do it indoors—I asked if I could do it outside. The employee mask wearing was lackadaisical and inconsistent. When I returned, I waited as the posted sign said. As no one seemed to be coming to check the vehicle in, I went inside. I gave the front desk employee my key and they said “is the gas the same†“I think so†“Ok we will email you the receiptâ€â€”no fuel check, no inspection, no closure to ensure that I dropped off the vehicle in good condition and ended my side of the contract. I left the office and waited by the vehicle I rented and another employee asked if I needed help I told them dropping off the key land just hoping i would get an email didn't make me feel confident in the process. They said the would be happy to inspect and end the rental and that they try to do that to help customers move along quickly. It turned out fine but was harder than it needed to be. It is not the process I would prefer seeing that I would be held liable for anything found damaged on the vehicle.
