Custom service is a joke. I always reserve with days prior to pick up and for some reason they always give me a truck that I didn’t ask for. The Africans American guy looks like he hates his job.

The person behind the desk was very unprofessional. He was very dry and I didn’t feel welcomed as a customer at all. I rented the 26’ truck. As soon as I got on the freeway and went over 45 miles per hour, the truck jerked and shook so bad. I had to exit and take the streets to my distenation. Which made me get there late and was not able to load everything I was suppose to. I called dispatch and was transferred to another department where I was on hold for long time at least 30 mins. I hung up and decided to just get the delivery done best I can with this equipment on hand. The next day I noticed that unless the truck is moving, the steering was near the impossible to turn. Another factor which made it so hard to finish my job on time. It’s a big truck and with out proper steering wheel it’s really hard to operate not to mention the danger that comes with it. I called again the next day and was directed to a gentleman in Arizona. He was a real nice guy and very professional. He tried helping me with being behind schedule as much as possible. I finally spent 3 days instead of 1 day and was charged for all 3 days. I didn’t call or complain because I truly believe it’s a waist of time and will get me no where. I know now better to rent bigger equipment other places and will let anyone I know hear this story before deciding to rent with uhaul

I checked my truck in a day early @ the Cottonwood, AZ facility. I paid a full rental premium from Friday@ 10 a.m.-Sunday @ 10 a.m. and returned the truck to the Cottonwood, AZ location on Saturday afternoon. When asked if I'd get an unused premium refund for bringing the truck back early, I was told there were no refunds on one way trucks. I've been a Customer Advocate for 10 years and this is not customer friendly. I will not recommend UHaul

I had a horrible experience with this office. (1) It took them 7 hours to do a job that should be done in less than 2. After waiting 6 hours I called because I desperately needed my car back and they told me my car was ready. When I get to the store the representative told me that my car was NOT ready, and I waited there standing for another hour! Once I was on the road I started getting honked at by other cars. Someone was nice enough to roll their windows down (in the rain) and tell me that something in my car was causing sparks and it looked like a fire was about to start. I pulled over, in the middle of the night and the middle of nowhere, to check out what was going on. Turns out the chains on the trailer were far too long and had been hitting the asphalt causing sparks the entire drive. I didnt have anything to tie them with. Luckily someone pulled over to help me out, otherwise I dont know what I would have done. This experience felt more like a dis-service than a service.

Great service. Specifically, Tristan was extremely help. He went above and beyond to get me all that I needed even though he was already supposed to be off. I sure hope employees such as Tristan are compensated and/or promoted to carry on that kind of service to customer, particularly when they do not know how to prepare a trailer for the road. Asking questions about a redundant process--online form completion and again re same form in-store--is a legitimate customer concern. Retrain your agents on attentive customer service; do not respond defensively; listen to the customer before jumping to any type of conclusion. I had to remind agent that he is accountable as a Uhaul rep. Haven't had an experience like this in many years as most companies promote a customer-centric business model.

I made a reservation online. I arrived at the location 2300 block of Grand Avenue as directed in the email. There was no trailer there I completed the online chicken and when it finished it sent me to the location on Fairview Avenue. The Fairview location is excellent but I last about an hour and a half of time because I was directed to the wrong initial location. I was somewhat frustrated losing that time on a day with much scheduled.

It is very difficult to reach this location without taking side streets as it is very difficult to make a left turn into the location from fairview.

The reason I rated the location poor is because of the location, it's a nightmare getting in and out. But the customer service and everything else was excellent. One more thing, all these emails are very annoying.
